Does anyone have a great way to determine where your new Twitter followers are finding you?
-
We are enjoying some good success with finding new Twitter followers for our account, but the majority of the new followers do not seem to be coming as a result of our posts. How can I determine where these new followers are finding us? Google Analytics can explain those coming from our website but what about the others?
Thanks to all for helping!

Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to track down how people are finding your Twitter (except from your own site). Other more obvious places are anyone recommending you as someone to follow on Twitter or mentioning/RT'ing you (show up in your @ mentions) and running an OSE report to see if you're getting backlinks to your Twitter profile from other places, such as if you were on a list of companies in your niche to follow.
You can also use Followerwonk to see your follows/unfollows. This can help you narrow day the days you get major follows and then dig into what happened those days. Did you speak at a conference? Was there a blog post published about you? Did you get a big press mention? Or did you just have a tweet that hit some influential people?
Also, an important note, occasionally, you'll see sudden dips and lots of unfollows, sometimes that's just Twitter cleaning up spammers. (I was putting together a presentation where I thought Rand Fishkin had lost lots of followers due to a tweet he made, but it turned out to be Twitter cleaning up spam accounts. And then I needed another example.)
Hope that helps!

You can see your analytic data using twitter analytic or you can use Twitonomy this is also very good and it shows a very much depth reports like who Followers Report, don't follow you back, Search Analytic and much more. check it out...

Add Tracking Parameters to Website Links on Facebook/Twitter
does anyone know of a way to add tracking parameters to facebook/twitter website links in the about us section so that we can understand what traffic is specifically coming from that page? I already add tracking to posts, but I am more trying to track each standard link on these social channels. I am currently running into character limits or the result looks like a long url that will most certainly deter clicks because it looks suspicious.

If you post on two Twitter accounts could be rated as duplicate content
I have a personal Twitter account which is building up, but I also have a Twitter account for my holiday letting agency and until now I’ve always separated the subject of the tweets and links to my websites but I’m using Buffer which automates your tweets in advance and so I included some of the links to my business holiday letting agency articles on my personal account and people seem to like them and have shared them, but is there any risks to doing that regarding duplicate type of content? At the end of the day some the people on my personal Twitter will be interested in my agency tweets about holiday accommodation, I just want to do anything which could be termed spam.

Wibiya is Shutting Down! ...Any great alternatives?
There was a time when Meebo had a great social bar, and it was bought out by Google and Meebo closed down. However, we still had simple to setup great working Wibiya bar, however at the end of this year they are moving to mobile apps and shutting down this amazing social bar. I am now in a search for great alternatives and sadly there are now little options. 😞 Do you use great share bars, please comment with ease of setting up, load time, analytics/stats, features, etc? I have found some alternatives, some of which I have used in the past, but they are nowhere near Wibiya Thanks

Best way to utilize a BBC television appearance for Internet Marketing
I was just contacted by BBC and asked to appear on a breakfast program talking about psychotherapy. It is not certain that it is going ahead but more likely than not. Assuming it does what would you say would be the best way to utilise this opportunity through marketing (particularly internet marketing) afterwards? If this goes ahead I would be at the studio for 7am or so and be gone by 9am or so. My website only gets a few hundred visitors through organic traffic and my Twitter and other social media accounts were only started recently so have fairly low levels of followings.

Twitter inbound link not being indexed
Hello Mozzers! I was using open site explorer to investigate inbound links to our company website and also to our competitors. The main difference being is their top links are all coming from twitter - where as ours aren't. Now our twitter account is about 10months old maybe more and it's got the standard setup with a description and the URL. We've also been tweeting with a link directly to our site. Yet no luck? Am I missing something? Thanks, Dan

Do facebook shares pass share juice the same way links pass link juice?
If i have a page on my domain say PAGE-A and let's say it's located at: http://www.mydomain.com/something/page-a and this page has quite a lot of page authority from many many inbound links. It is my understanding that if i "sculpt" the internal links on PAGE-A to point at only my primary targets, let's call the PAGE-B, PAGE-C, and PAGE-D; then those pages would gain some benefit from this link juice flowing through. Consider a similar situation where i have a page, say PAGE-F located at: http://www.mydomain.com/anotherpage/page-F and page-F gets 150 facebook shares. would the links on page-F pass this benefit on in any way? Or is only the direct target of the facebook share gaining benefit from this facebook sharing? Furthermore, lets consider a scenario where there are 30 or 40 similar pages like PAGE-F all with links out to my primary targets. Would these primary targets gain anything as these 30 or 40 pages gained facebook shares? Repeat above question, replace 'facebook' with 'twitter'. repeat again for 'google+' ?
