Does google still not crawl forms with a method=post?

I know back in 08 Google started crawling forms using the method=get however not method=post. whats the latest? is this still valid?

Honestly I wouldn't be able to tell you. As the article brought up cloaking I'm going to guess yes, however I haven't got any source or test for it.

Product Pages not indexed by Google

We built a website for a jewelry company some years ago, and they've recently asked for a meeting and one of the points on the agenda will be why their products pages have not been indexed. Example: http://rocks.ie/details/Infinity-Ring/7170/ I've taken a look but I can't see anything obvious that is stopping pages like the above from being indexed. It has a an 'index, follow all' tag along with a canonical tag. Am I missing something obvious here or is there any clear reason why product pages are not being indexed at all by Google? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Update I was told 'that each of the product pages on the full site have corresponding page on mobile. They are referred to each other via cannonical / alternate tags...could be an angle as to why product pages are not being indexed.'

Blog Posting Approach

Hello Moz, I have came to realize that my blogger is copying and posting the exact content from another domain to my site. She has provided reference at the end of each article. I was wondering if this is a good practice and if it will have any SEO impact on my website. Thanks a lot for the help

Website No Longer Ranking In Google:

My website was on first page google couple of months ago, now nothing. Shows up in Bing page one. Some queries/pages still showing OK, but some not at all. Example "residential elevators illinois" found nowhere. http://www.accesselevator.net is the website. Have found 900 poor quality links and used disavow tool. Any further suggestions? Their Page Rank also went from a 3 to a 2. Implemented nofollow on all outgoing links. Need advice.

Google Penalty, Which one is hitting me?

Hello there SEOMOZ'ers, Just signed up for a Pro Account. Impressed with the trial. Just wondering is there any way to find out if you have fallen foul of a Google update, is there any way to know which you have fallen foul of or is the date it happens the only guide or pointer to what might have happened? My site was getting a reasonable amount of traffic for the last few years and was ranking well for my main search terms up till Feburary the 4th when the traffic fell by almost 50% ... and it has never really recovered. I thought it might be the Above the Fold Advertising penalty (or whatever it is called) because I had a lot of images linking elsewhere on my site, above the fold on my homepage, but I removed them about 4 weeks ago and the traffic still hasnt recovered. I've been using SEOMOZ to detect duplicate content and various other problems with my site since and fixing a good few of them each week. I have the main issues down from about 300 to about 20 which i think i have just fixed. I have also used Copyscape and found that some other websites had stolen some of my content, which i have since rewritten. I was ranking number 2 or 3 for my main keyword but dropped out of the top 100 in February, which is pretty frustrating at this stage. I don;t know if I have accidentally gone too far over optimising my site or what has happened. If anyone can give me some pointers I'd really appreciate it, if anyone can help me fix it I'll buy them a beer next time you are in Ireland! 🙂 Thanks, Shane

Sign up form

Hi, My company sells a SAAS B-to-B product. The measure of success for most of our marketing channels is how many people sign up for a free 30-day trial of our product. We are about to launch new learning centers without about 20 new pieces of content. The primary goal of this new content is to attract more organic search volume, which in turn should give us more sign ups. My CEO would like me to put our sign up form directly on all these pages to encourage sign ups. If we put our sign up form directly on each of these pages, will search engines ding us? Does Google etc. see form fields and view that as bad? Our other option is, instead of including the form directly on the pages, to include an 'ad' space on the pages with a link that takes people to our actually sign up page that includes the form. The other part of my question is around the placement of the form or ad unit. Will any SEO issues be mitigated by ensuring we have real content displayed in the code before the form? Visually, in this case, it would be on the right side instead of the left. In general, can you comment on the importance placement for a form or ad unit compared to the meaty part of the content? Thanks!

Google omitting some entries
