We have questions about properly unraveling and correct way of listing local businesses.
We want "Law offices of Michelle L Stowell" to be separate now and have its own contact info, what is the best way to separate these two business' contact info without negatively effecting the local search standing with SEO?
They have two brands.
1. "Forester Purcell Stowell" and “Law Offices Michelle L Stowell”2. Law offices of Michelle L Stowell.
- They actually have Yelp.
- They are getting leads, are they getting converted to Suitable retainers.
We are managing both names through Yext.com.
Both businesses have different phone and different URL. We were worried about having the same address. Will that effect us negatively?
Someone went to Yelp and changed the main number to the incorrect.
Are there rules specific to individual practitioner (lawyers) that would require additional steps to be listed properly? We want to follow any additional rules.
Do they need to setup a separate phone number? 4240 phone is the number is
Correct for FPS: 293-4000
Michelle - 293-4024 - should be that its their direct line to old assistant. need to change that number for her. But what are the rules as a separate individual practitioner as separate entity. Client read that google doesn't like have a phone number that forwards somewhere - they negative point you. IS THAT TRUE?Google have people who call to confirm your business info. We need to know if there are any specific instructions to tell our telephone company.
She doesn't have a distinct website for her. We have setup a website redirect. It redirects to a landing page within the Forester Purcell website. Will that give us negative points or should we have separate site for better local results?
Specialneedsfamilylaw.com redirects to http://foresterpurcell.com/practice-areas/special-needs-family-law/ — is that a problem with local search results?
Thank you,
Thomas Newman

What's the best way to identify duplicate listings?
I'm doing manual duplicate research for an account and wanted to know if anyone had a resource to share on how to find duplicate listings for GMB and other citations. https://searchengineland.com/definitive-guide-duplicate-research-local-seo-238719 Ive been working off of this article from Joy Hawkins, but she mentions using Map Maker to search a phone number, but Google has since shut Map Maker down. Maps doesn't seem to work the same way, as I've searched a phone number which I know has duplicate listings and they don't come up. Any tips on a better tool or process?

Structured data for business listings
If I have a page of 20 local business listings, do I need to provide structured data for each business listing? is that necessary and would it help with SEO? So if I have a page of Vancouver Brain Injury Lawyers, and list off 20 local law firms that focus on that type of injury, should I have structured data for each law firm that I list?

Why would a website link disappear from a Google Place listing?
Hi, a local non-profit recently re-branded their name from MacDonald Center to Maybelle Center. When they updated their business information their website link disappeared. They've updated from within and dashboard to no avail. We've requested edits/updates via Google Map maker but it says Denied. Here's a URL for the SERP result. Note the button for "website" would normally appear by the button for "directions" https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8&q=maybelle center portland&oq=maybelle center portland&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i59j69i61.4316j0j7 Can someone please explain why this is happening and how we can fix it? They are a great community organization who's about to receive some media coverage and we'd really appreciate it if users hearing about the group be able to easily access their new website. They are aware of their duplicate listings but, typical of non-profits, have limited time and funds so are prioritizing to address more urgent issues first. However, I don't believe duplicate listings would cause such an issue but please let me know if I'm wrong here

Duplicate Google Plus and Google My Business Listings
My business has duplicate listings for both Google + and Google Places or Maps or My Business or whatever it's called today. Of course the listings that I want to show are marked as duplicates, and the only option is to remove the duplicates. Is there any way to merge these listings or switch which one Google recognizes?

Removing Unverified Listing From Google
We have an old unverified listing that has our information on it, but we can't get it off google. I told them months ago it was closed, and it is marked as closed in Google...but it still shows up. Moz Local is telling me this is an inconsistency that hurts our local rankings. I went to delete the page from our Google Business/Place, but if I did that, the warning said that I would just not have access to the page, and that the listing would still show up on google. How do I permanently get rid of those thing, so it's not longer an inconsistent listing? Ruben

I've never had any issues previously i just registered on google places but since changes to google business it doesn't seem to be automatic any more. Currently i have two different other websites showing in these listings for the search term however my client is questioning why they are not showing up here also as they have the same business type related to the search term.

Local Listing Question for Vet Office
We have done the off-page directory listings work for a veterinary office (submitting to the main data-aggregators, as well as sites such as CitySearch/Manta/Yelp) & now want to supplement those with submissions for each individual doctor. There are 8 doctors at their practice. The plan was to submit them to only 3 sites - the main data-aggregators of LocalEze, ExpressUpdateUSA & Factual. They only have one phone number (their main number) to use for listings. So can we submit the doctors all with the same number? Or is that a total waste of time b/c listings will end up being duplicated/merged down the road? What do you recommend that we do?
