We are currently sharing a featured snippet for the term 'Euro emissions standards' with Wikipedia (not sure how long this will be the case for) but I was wondering if anyone else has ever come across this?

Featured Snippet - URL change?

Hi all - we have a blog post that has ranked as a featured snippet. We are doing some cleanup on our back-end opening up a few other blog post categories which would change the URL address by one word. I'm wondering if anyone knows how this would effect the ranking of the featured snippet if we were to change this address even if we did a redirect?

Different WP Taxonomies seen as duplicate content

Hey guys, We're seeing Moz report "duplicate" content on pages like: mysite.com/interesting-category/ and mysite.com/interesting-tag. Why exactly is this, and is there something that we should do about this? Obviously some of the same posts will intersect on pages like category, tag, author pages. Thanks

What if your content is getting social shares but no links?

Suppose you have a weekly blog article and sometimes your articles earn social shares (e.g. 23 +1's on Google Plus on one article but normally 3-5 social shares). One out of 10 earns an organic link from a random blog. Would you continue publishing these blog posts?

Can I share share my content with other sites either as a individual post or RSS or will I be encourage duplicate content on the web and upset Google

Hi, I have a new site http://www.homeforbusiness.co.uk. I want to encourage traffic to the site by sharing some of my content with other related websites which have a higher PR ranking and traffic for a link to my site. Is this going to upset Google re-duplicate content and devalue my site and stop any organic rankings in the future? Equally some high PR sites which have a good synergy with mine such as http://thewomensbusinessclubs.com/ allow me to add my RSS feed with their blog network. Is this a good thing to do or not for the same reasons as above? Or can I only do the above my creating fresh content? Thanks, Elizabeth Conley

Google plus Rich snippets for guest posting on large websites

I work for a content marketing company and the majority of our clients are large banks looking to get their message out there. We're thinking of favouring writers with Google plus profiles and adding the rel=author tag so all the articles incorporate rich snippets and a profile image. So this is more of a discussion into whether you think this would be beneficial to a large corporation. I know it aids in search and authority but it would mean a company would have many faces and they usually have one.
Think of when a company makes a speech on TV its always 1 person designated as the company spokesperson. Another way would be to write on behalf of somebody in the company and have there profile image but I can imaging this is frowned upon by Google. What are your thoughts

Cosmo feature: any difference between linking a phrase or .com?

I just had an article posted on Cosmopolitan.com to my site, www.100redflags.com. My request to them was that they link specifically the phrase "100 Red Flags" to http://100redflags.com, but they actually said "go to 100redflags.com" - with 100redflags.com hyperlinked. My question: If I'm trying to build rank with the term "red flags", or at least "100 red flags", is the way that they did it helping me at all? If it will help me more to have them link the phrase "100 Red Flags", does it matter whether they do that today when traffic is high, or tomorrow when traffic is lower? If I write a article for a client and use Social Book Marking software, will this add value (or does the value depend on how ofen it gets shared)?

I'm about to start experimenting with bookmarking software. My first step is trying Ping.com (because it's free), but I am also keen to try Onlywire.com (which comes at a cost- darn). My questions are: when I create an article for a client and post to all these social sites will this make a difference? Or will it only make a difference if people share the article? Has anyone been experimenting with social bookmarking software that can tell me what results they have had and how they got there? Thanks a mil!
