Wordpress when to use posts or pages

Hi Guys,
I have a network of EMD sites that currently use a homepage and then we have a blog page which has 5-6 posts on. Is this the best way to do it with sites under 10-20 pages?
Or should we create say 3-4 new pages/categories and drop the posts relevant to each page/category in there?

You can think of your Wordpress Pages and Posts, think of hard and soft landscape elements.
HOW DO I USE PAGES?
Pages are like the boulders of your website. They anchor customer expectations, and provide a semi-permanent structure for your site. Typically pages answer the big questions "Who are you?" "What do you do?" "How can I get in touch with you?" and so on. When paired with solid navigation architecture, pages also keep important information easily available for visitors.
HOW DO I USE POSTS?
Posts are like the annual flowers you put in for a splash of color. A steady stream of posts shows visitors and search engines you have relevant, up to date information. Posts can also provide interesting new reasons for visitors to come back to your site after the initial visit. They allow you to capture more long-tail search traffic, and give you an opportunity to list your blog in RSS directories. Posts also have a shorter shelf life than pages. Once they are replaced by new posts, old posts will always be available in the archives, or accessible via search. However, it can be more difficult to locate old posts as compared to pages.
FUN WITH POSTS & PAGES:
Wordpress has interesting features available for pages and posts.
For example, let's say you have a page explaining a specific line of EMD services. You can also create an EMD category to collect blog posts related to that service. Using that EMD category, you can collect these posts into a feed and embed that category feed into your EMD service page. The result is a static page for your EMD service, which also includes your latest EMD posts.
Good for your visitors, good for search engines.

Generally speaking, search engines expect to see a combination of long-lasting content and regularly added new content. At least some of that content should be accessible through site-wide navigation. How much of it depends on the competitive landscape.
Users generally expect enough core (page level) content to give them confidence and trust in a site's ownership.
Given that combination of factors, it's usually best to have at least a couple or few pages that don't change significantly over time. And "About" page, and a "Contact" page should be the minimum used, regardless of competitive landscape factors.
The home page itself can, if desired, consist mostly snippets from the most recent blog articles. There should, either on the home page, or on a main blog landing page, as well as throughout all article pages, be a list of the top categories of articles.
Alternately, you could have the home page itself be informational and generally not change over time.
Again, a lot depends on the competitive landscape specific to your targeted keywords.

How many pages should we optimise?
I have more than 250 pages on my site including my products. Is it a good idea to optimise each page with a unique keyword or is there a limit to the number of pages we should aim for?

Unique Pages with Thin Content vs. One Page with Lots of Content
Is there anyone who can give me a definitive answer on which of the following situations is preferable from an SEO standpoint for the services section of a website? 1. Many unique and targeted service pages with the primary keyword in the URL, Title tag and H1 - but with the tradeoff of having thin content on the page (i.e. 100 words of content or less). 2. One large service page listing all services in the content. Primary keyword for URL, title tag and H1 would be something like "(company name) services" and each service would be in the H2 title. In this case, there is lots of content on the page. Yes, the ideal situation would be to beef up content for each unique pages, but we have found that this isn't always an option based on the amount of time a client has dedicated to a project.

Sitelinks to internal pages
Hi Moz Community, Is it only possible to get sitelinks to your main domain in the SERPs or can you also get them to internal pages in the SERPs? i.e. if this were to pop up in the SERP: www.mysite.com/page1

Duplicate Page Content
Hey Moz Community, Newbie here. On my second week of Moz and I love it but have a couple questions regarding crawl errors. I have two questions: 1. I have a few pages with duplicate content but it say 0 duplicate URL's. How do I know what is duplicated in this instance? 2. I'm not sure if anyone here is familiar with an IDX for a real estate website. But I have this setup on my site and it seems as though all the links it generates for different homes for sale show up as duplicate pages. For instance, http://www.handyrealtysa.com/idx/mls...tonio_tx_78258 is listed as having duplicate page content compared with 7 duplicate URLS: http://www.handyrealtysa.com/idx/mls...tonio_tx_78247

Tags on blog post
I have just ran a report on SEOMOZ and it's came back saying I have over 1000 pages on my website with duplicate content, I thought wow that's not good, however when I looked at the report it was counting duplicate content because I have used more than one tag on a blog post, for example the blog post: www.example.com/blog-post/ Has the tags example 1 example 2 example 3 Meaning I have these URLs www.example.com/blog/tag/example-1 www.example.com/blog/tag/example-2 www.example.com/blog/tag/example-3 All 3 URLs above have the same content as www.example.com/blog-post/ because of the tags, is this a problem? Moving Top rank Page urls off my Home page and nesting them on one page? Good idea?
I am basically trying to cut down the amount of links on my home page to make it less eye boggling and move stuff around. So i have of my Urls on my home page that lead to pages that rank very well within google. My questions is can i remove those urls to a separate page to group them together and then showcase that one link to that page on my home page. Is that a good idea or i am going to loose my link juice and position in search? The physical urls on those pages wont change at all.

Product page optimalisation
Throughout the years our website kept on growing this has led to product pages that have so much sub-pages that nobody is able to really get a good idea of the product. We are working on a new website where the visitor is central. Together with a usability partner we have down sized the preferred data to fit on one page with a tabular system with a maximum of 4 taps. My question will this affect our find ability if we go from 10 to 15 sub-pages to one main page
