What is the best Wordpress theme for a professional DM blog? I am looking for something minimalistic where I can add my personal profile and have articles nicely listed, potentially grouped within categories.

"My Blog Tech" for me is the best version, in fact looks very nice, one thing of themeforest, that I don't like, is all the themes looks the same, for me is very hard to choose one, all have excellent color combination or font combination, but if you have some experience in 2 or seconds can recognize it.
Thats wht I prefer "My Blog Tech" simple and effective

You are right, Pluto is really nice, but I am not sure if it would work for a DM blog. It looks awesome for recipes, possibly would for fashion or interior design. I think Writing lacks something but Newspaper looks like it offers many options. I will definitely consider this.

Avada theme is a really comprehensive one. It has been used for more than a few years which is really nice when you're looking for support as most question will have been already answered. It works very well with Wordpress and comes integrated with page builders and sliders.
The reason why I also really like it is because you can install your favorite demo, and just work over the existing content rather than starting from scratch, but even then with fusion page builder it takes a few minutes to build a page layout with drag and drop. Also, once you install the theme you'll basically have instruction videos with-in the theme settings for most set-up tasks or questions.
I recommend checking out the demos so you can understand the features available with in.

When to re-write and redirect a blog url?
What are best practices for rewriting (and then redirecting) blog URLs? I refresh old blog posts on our blog every month and many of them have URLs that are too long or could be improved. However, many of them also already get decent organic traffic and I don't want to lose traffic due to a URL redirect. Are there any best practices or "rules" I can follow when deciding whether to re-write and redirect blog URLs?

Best Practices for Recurring Blog Topics
Our site has annual articles (such as a payment calendar and an announcement of our annual conference). Is it better to keep all the old blog articles available and searchable, redirect them to the most current year's entry, or something else entirely? My instinct is to have a permanent redirect to the newest article.

Today, I was reading Google's official article on Multi Regional website and use of duplicate content. Right now, We are working on 4 different blogs for following regions. I have read following paragraph on Google's official guidelines and It's inspire me to make it happen. Which is best solution for it? Websites that provide content for different regions and in different languages sometimes create content that is the same or similar but available on different URLs. This is generally not a problem as long as the content is for different users in different countries. While we strongly recommend that you provide unique content for each different group of users, we understand that this may not always be possible. There is generally no need to "hide" the duplicates by disallowing crawling in a robots.txt file or by using a "noindex" robots meta tag. However, if you're providing the same content to the same users on different URLs (for instance, if both example.de/ and example.com/de/ show German language content for users in Germany), you should pick a preferred version and redirect (or use the rel=canonical link element) appropriately. How long should a quality blog post be?
How long should a "quality" blog post be? General advice seems to be that a 300 word post just won't cut it, but advice on the optimum length is vague. I appreciate that all posts are different but is there a rule of thumb, is 1000 words good and 1500 too long...or should they are all aim to be 2000 words? Also with regards to pictures in blogs, can they just be taken from the web or are there sites that I should be using to source the pictures? Thanks

Can you use creative commons non-commercial images on a company blog?
Does anyone know if it is okay to use creative commons images on your company blog if they are under the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0 Generic license. Technically you are using it on a commercial site, but you are not directly making money from the image or selling it.
