Instructional Videos on Separate Websites

Am I doing this correctly?
We have 3 websites and shoot a lot of instructional videos on how to use our products. I build a webpage for the video and put it on all three websites, using rel="canonical" on 2 of the videos pages, pointing to the single most important page, is this the right method?
TY
KJrPS: I also do this for press releases.

Hi Kevin
Yes, this is absolutely the right method. You won't rank for the video on the two pages with the canonical but I guess you have a reason for this but cross-domain rel-canonical is the correct way to do this,
I would also consider transcribing the video on the important page too for maximum SEO juice.

Understanding SEOMOZ and how to make improvements to my website
I want the same as everyone else the best position in Google. My campaign is set up as sub-domain. I am trying to get an understanding of what make the improvements to the following. What are the most important metrics and if I can work to improve them what makes those improvements. Currently I have a good position in Google for my most productive phrase but feel I need to make improvements to ensure I keep that position. I am adding regular unique content and looking for relavant quality links but it does not seem to be making much difference to the metrics below. Domain Authority 16 Domain MozRank 2.83 Domain MozTrust 0.86 External Followed Links 16 Total External Links 55 Total Links 668 Followed Linking Root Domains 8 Total Linking Root Domains 9 Linking C-Blocks 3 Subdomain MozRank 2.95 Subdomain MozTrust 1.73 External Followed Links 15 Total External Links 54 Total Links 667 Followed Linking Root Domains 8 Total Linking Root Domains 9 Which are the important metrics and can I improve my site to increase my Moz position therfore improving Google results

I built a website on magentogo - IrisScottPrints.com. The seomoz crawl report states 301 rel canonical crawl notices. What if anything should I change?
Wondering if I should remove "IRIS SCOTT PRINTS |" from all the title tags and/or change the url structure of the pages, to not include the breadcrumbs... I don't really understand the whole rel canonical structure thing. Also lots of errors on page title too long - does that really matter? Lots of faith in everyone here. Thanks in advance. Marcia

Duplicate content on video pages
Hi guys, We have a video section on our site containing about 50 videos, grouped by category/difficulty. On each video page except for the embedded player, a sentence or two describing the video and a list of related video links, there's pretty much nothing else. All of those appear as duplicate content by category. What should we do here? How long a description should be for those pages to appear unique for crawlers? Thanks!

Where to Put Content For Product Pages - How To Structure Website?
Currently we have 300+ products. We do not have a CMS or Ecommerce site at the time being for certain reasons. Currently our site is set up with content on almost every single page. The main catagory page, explains everything on the main page, then our products page has a lot of text too. But right now, it seems as if our main pages are only ranking. In the near future I will be using a cms and purchasing a template. I noticed most Ecommerce style websites have just the product with the name and price, then when they click on the product it brings you to that page with a brief product description and some photos. My question is, does each page need content? Or can just the product page itself have content? For example, say we have a link to SHOES. Then the shoes page displays dress, casual and athletic. Then the athletic page brings you to a page with, running, tennis, cross training shoes, and so forth. Is it best to write content on this main catagory page? If so, how much? Or should we focus on putting content on the actual page of the individual product? Along with pictures and specifications? I know Content is Key and we are doing pretty well at that, however, I am starting to wondering if we have to much content or too similar content. What is the best structure to try and recieve GREAT organic rankings?

A good title for each page on my website.
Dear SEOs, I know these facts: a) not more than 70 chars b) relevant to the page subject - probably best keyword at the beginning My problem - should I rebuild the current structure of my titles which is: Main Page keywords (in my case 4) | domain name - Main Page Sub-page - one click from main page keywords (again same 4) | domain name - Sub Page Name (or as you like Category Name) Specific page with an article / content keywords (again same 4 as on any other) | domain name - category name - title of article same as used in tag To be more precise, should this title be changed for following pages: Sub Page - where really it's page that let's you chose particular subjects (there will be few article for each subjects) so should the keywords be changed to - "chose your category" Specific page with an article - should the category name - title of article be completely removed and first part of title which at the moment contains same 4 keywords used on main page be replaced with keywords specific for the content ? To be honest I find those titles at the moment bit confusing and sort of illogical. But since I can't really change anything in the code I would like to know what's the right way before I keep pressing on the programmer 🙂 Thanks.
