Why do different blog lengths affect SEO differently?

Is it directly affected by Rankbrain or the Google Algorithm, or is it more because of user engagement?

Duplicate Content for Non-SEO Purposes

Duplicate Content for Non-SEO Purposes There are a few layers to this question, but at the most basic level the question is... -Will having the same article (in the form of archived e-newsletter issues) on multiple different websites' newsletter archives HURT those sites? I'm fairly sure it won't HELP any of them in terms of SEO, but will having these back issues of their e-newsletters archived on their websites get them penalized? For the purpose of this question, these are not clients we are doing SEO for, just hosting and their e-newsletters. So it's fine if the archives provide no SEO benefit, we just don't want to leave them up if they will become LIABILITIES for the websites. -If having the same article in archived issues of e-newsletters on multiple different websites WOULD be harmful, would moving these archives to a sub-domain change anything or would it be best to simply take the archives down altogether? -Alternately, would spinning these articles make any difference in whether or not these sites get penalized? -Lastly, would spinning make the articles usable for archived e-newsletters for clients that ARE signed on for SEO services? I have a hunch about this, but I'd love to hear your expert opinions. Thanks!

At what point to stop comments on a blog? Do too many comments hurt the page?

I have a page that's ranking pretty well, and driving sales. That page is starting to get 10+ comments per day and is starting to get quite long. I was wondering if there is a point where I should disable the comments? My gut tells me that people interacting with the page, and Google seeing responses with the users SHOULD be a good thing not bad. But, then I think that a majority of the content of the page is no longer the article, but the comments. All the comments are good, non spammy and directly related to the topic. People just asking questions, etc. Good engagement, I should be happy right?

Best Guest Blogging Plugin?

I have tried numerous times to use the MyBlogGuest plugin on my websites I manage for clients. I have NEVER had success with that plugin. Has anyone used that plugin and have it actually yield any results? I have followed all necessary steps, consistency, etc. Nothing. Is there any plugin out there better?

Blog Influencer's tool

Hi Mozzers, Can you help me with something please. I need a tool (preferably free or low cost) to find a list of influencers (blog or some types of publication) in a particular marketplace. Step 2 would be to see if we can then syndicate content but I need to find them first. Obviously there Google blog finder and general searches, I've used other tools in the past but a long time ago - what are people using now and what's the best? Thanks B

Duplicate Text on Blog & Internal News Page

I have two places I post news for our company. Our blog - typically more informal posts
mycompany.wordpress.com & Our news page - typically more newsworthy than the blog
mycompany.com/news My question is, It is okay to just copy the exact text from my wordpress blog and paste to my news area of my site and vice versa? Does this hurt ranking potential for either page?

Blog for SEO: embedded in the site or separate

Hello, For both ecommerce and sites that sell services, I've seen a lot of people recommending a blog for SEO. Should this blog be inside or separate from the main website for the most results? I can see how adding one to a site would create more unique content and an opportunity for link bait, but perhaps there is a reason to have a blog separate from the main site Thank you.
