What is your process for finding the best keywords for which to optimize and track?
-
(I searched but didn't find anything similar here)
When you start a campaign, what is your method for finding the best keywords to optimize on your site and to track? Please share methodologies and tools on Moz that you use. I of course use Keyword explorer, and choose the higher volume keywords, but I am not sure I am looking in the most effective places. Any discussion on this would be greatly appreciated.

This all depends on what your business wants to sell, to whom & where. As for keyword research, I'd recommend using:
- Keywords Everywhere
- SEM Rush
- Google KW planner/
- Moz
- Ahrefs

One of the coolest tools that I've run across to work in conjunction with MOZ Pro is a free plugin https://keywordseverywhere.com/ . Someone needs to create an API to sync with MOZ.
Here is the direct link:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/keywords-everywhere-keywo/hbapdpeemoojbophdfndmlgdhppljgmpIt is a google chrome plugin that is amazing and very efficient and effective. For every search you do it lists related keywords and the cost / if you were to use add words. You can quickly check to mark the keywords that you want to add to a .csv file and download them in bulk. Then upload to MOZ.
I also use Moz in conjunction with AWR (Advanced Key Word ranking) which is about 99 / month but an incredible tool for SERP tracking. Once you learn it and understand the graphs and have all the keywords input properly. You just have to look at weekly reports. MOZ may do the exact same thing but I have been using this program for soo long that it is hard to switch / re-tool / re-learn, so for me, it is worth the additional 99/mo.
But if you have not downloaded and installed the chrome plugin Key Words Every Where, do it. You may thank me later. It literally takes 5 minutes to install and no configuration. IT IS AMAZING!! Hope this helps!

Help with best seo strategy
Hello all, I am a little bit confused about the "content suggestion'' feature in Moz. If I understood well, this feature suggests Anchor texts we can use in other page to link to the page we are trying to Optimize. So far, I've been using page keyword as Anchor Text in other articles. For example, I have a page about the best places to visit in Morocco, where the keyword is 'places to visit in Morocco'. I am using this same keyword as Anchor text in other pages to link to that page. While Moz suggests '10 best places' as Anchor text. What does it mean ? Is '10 best places' anchor text better ? Or should I use both ? Thanks in advance for your enlightenment.

MoZ vs SEMRush - Keyword Difficulty and Keyword With Low Competition.
Hi, My question is very focussed regarding these 2 tools. Is it correct to understand that MoZ tells keyword difficulty and not which keyword is easy to compete. And SEMRush tells which keyword is easy to compete but does not tell which keywords are difficult to compete? I mean one (Moz) misses the one part and the other (SEMRush) misses the other part. Hope some will enlighten me to the point. Best

Search Volume for a Keyword
I assume this questions has probably been covered many times, if so I am sorry for asking it again, for whatever reason, I am not finding the answer I require, so I would appreciate some help. I would like to know the search volume for a keyword. I remember I used to get this information on Google Adwords account, it no longer displays it the same. I want to know if Moz or even Google for that matter provide this tool in a simple way. So if I entered a keyword, I would get the volume of searches Globally as well as locally either on a per month or a per day basis and it would be broken down as exact match or broad etc. This was a great feature before. I would love to access the same thing again. Thanks you.

On Page Report - To Much Alt. Text Keyword Usage
I ran a Moz on page report for our Roho Cushions page using the keyword Roho Cushions. I found "keyword stuffing" within the page, mainly from alternate text on images. The report told me I have 45 IMG ALT keywords & 28 Body Keywords. I cannot find the keywords I've used in the body, and if I inspect any image element, the keyword is not used as alternate text. I've ran this report multiple times in the past 2 weeks and have come up with the same results. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks!

Rank Tracking
I just wanted to check with people in the know, A Keyword I'm tracking with the Rank Tracker Research tool is showing #7 in the SEOMoz tool but when I google it myself it isn't showing up in the serps on page 1. I'm assuming that google serps might be distirbuted with a certain "latency" for different users, I just wanted to check check with you guys.

No longer in top 100 for branded keyword - How!?
Got a weird one here... Won't give away actual URL but for this example let's say client's site is: www.purplebananas.com Many of the longtail keyword-targeted subpages/posts are still ranking pretty well. We recently went through and optimized the site based on poor scores we found from crawl reports from SEO Moz, which included renaming some sub-pages, eliminating duplicate content pages, archives, etc (it's a wordpress site, about 4 years old). This site used to rank at the top or near it for the search "purple bananas". However, after we optimized the site it's almost completely fallen off the radar of Google, turns up way over 100 for the search "purple bananas". Strangely, if we search "purplebananas" we're at the top still. Any idea what's going on here? Are we potentially over-optimized or something weird for our own brand!? Any troubleshooting tips? FWIW the changes were made about 6 weeks ago and while we're steadily building links, I don't think this is the standard "Google dance". Thanks!
