I found the answer on this -- interestingly, I had changed registrars and they didn't pull over the DNS information correctly. This caused the above issues. Once I identified this, I updated the DNS correctly -- at registrar and server -- and things worked fine.

Do you think its better to have a published date AND a last updated date on Posts ? Does google even look if you updated but left the published date old I was thinking of adding a "last updated" field to my articles. But is it worth it? or should I just keep it uncluttered and leave only the last published date? I would think that Google would not notice if I updated a last updated meta field since their is a published date field already.

How can we dynamically populate content on our website based on a visitor's web history?

Recently, I have tried looking into options that would allow us to dynamically populate content (specifically images to be used at CTAs on our blog in wordpress) to different users based on their web history on our website. We would want to be able to dynamically populate images based on the number of visits in the past 60 days and the inferred industry based on pages hit. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find anything as a standalone tool - I believe HubSpot may have something like this but it is rolled into their blogging platform. Does anyone know of one?

I have a domain with rank no 1 in google web search!

I have a domain with rank no 1 in google web search! When I search for the keyword which are the domainname in google adwords, keyword search I get 1.200.000 searches in that keyword. Our domain have only 10 visitors a day - why is that?

Hidden text that's not really "hidden" - seo

Hi guys, I have a question for you about a thing I saw on a website. I've attached the prints.
They have like "hidden text". It must be good for indexation, they can
target a lot of important keywords in it, and still keep the website
"clean".

Website Building: Best practices for SEO and user interaction

I'm a noobie when it comes to SEO, with my knowledge coming from a few books and blogs. What are some of the best practices that you use when building a website for SEO and for user interaction? I've read about the following, but am not sure if they are still relevant. Also if you have any other suggestions, they would be appreciated. -Phone # above fold line. -A call to action above fold line on each page -An HTML sitemap -Terms & Conditions (supposed to create credibility in Googles eyes) -NAP in the footer of each page -Optimize each page for 1 unique keyword Are these correct and is there anything else that I'm missing?

About Google Instant Preview

Hi all, Please, I have a doubt about how Google Instant Preview works. My website is www.emagister.com, it’s a Spanish website and our servers are here in Spain (for the Spanish version of course) Sometimes, in some URLs appears Google Instant Preview image with the preview of my website that advises users that they could visit USA or German version of my Website while they visit the Spanish version www.emagister.com. Even though they stayed in German or USA…. Sometimes in the Instant Preview image it shows that they could visit the version in German or American even though the user is in Spain. Then when I click on the link, the text does not show up. Emagister gets 12 version (each country we have). I attached screen-shoot. I don’t understand how it works, cause I’m in Spain, I visit my Spanish version and I see Istant Preview with this message…it happens just with a couple of URLs: Just two examples: http://www.emagister.com/cursos-nutricion-tematica-175_1.htm http://www.emagister.com/cursos-ensenanza-tematica-600_1.htm Thank in advance for your help, Best regards, Francesca Nuvola

Wordpress Duplicate Pages/ URL's - Help !

Hi guys, I have been running SEOMoz for just over a month and slowly cleaning up one of my Wordpress Blogs. While going through the crawl reports I have noticed that I have duplicate pages showing on the crawl. For example, the main post would be; www.xxxxx.com/blog/post-title Then I see another URL which would be; **www.xxxx.com/blog/page/59 ** When I click on either URL it goes back to the actual post title URL. What's with these page URL's ? Isn't these two URL's showing duplicate content to the search engines ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Google : Bad positioning of my new articles for 2 months

For one or two months my new questions / Answers have a bad positioning and competitors who have a contents of inferior quality are classified in front of dismoicomment.fr. Recently I had + of 1000 errors of exploitation in webmasters tools because there was an url in the code of every page which was untraceable. Do you think that it can come from there? Nevertheless since the passage of Google panda, I have more traffic. I don't Understand... Furthermore my old posts have same positioning. My website : www.dismoicomment.fr Thank you.
