How do we remove organic listing in other countries for our brand?

We have noticed that we're getting over 25,000 impressions from India over the last 3 months for our brand term. We are seeing similar results from other countries too but not as much. Having used FatRank I can see that our brand name is ranking in position 1 and 2 in multiple countries, this wouldn't be a problem if 1. we sold cars there and 2. they weren't producing leads for our sales guys to follow up which is causing problems.

How can we exclude other countries?

In Search Console we are already just targeting the UK.

How to remove Parameters from Google Search Console?

Hi All, Following are parameter configuration in search console - Parameters - fl
Does this parameter change page content seen by the user? - Yes, Changes, reorders, or narrows page content.
How does this parameter affect page content? - Narrow
Which URLs with this parameter should Googlebot crawl? - Let Googlebot decide (Default) Query - Actually it is filter parameter. I have already set canonical on filter page. Now I am doing tracking of filter pages via data layer and tag manager so in google analytic I am not able to see filter url's because of this parameter. So I want to delete this parameter. Can anyone please help me? Thanks!

I have consolidated my subdomains into subfolders; should i remove the subdomains also?

Hi, I have consolidated my website's many sub-domains into sub-folders. We had ~20 sub-domains. The sub-domains and the root domain shared the same code-base and sub-domain specific features were controlled using Apache's SetEnv directive in the httpd.conf includes. Now they are consolidated. I have redirected all of the sub-domains to the relevant sub-folder; so http://sub1.mysite.com now 301 redirects to http://www.mysite.com/sub1.The redirects happen in the htaccess file and all sub-domains and the root are still pointing to the same code-base. However, the Moz campaign tracker still occasionally tells me that i have optimisation opportunities at http://sub1.mysite.com and in both Bing and Google webmaster tools traffic to those sub-domains is mentioned. Should i delete the subdomains? Cheers

Best practice around removing large section of the website

We are looking at removing a large section of our website that is getting low/no traffic. My current thought of removing this would be to delete the pages and add 301 redirects to a similar page within the site that is not being deleted. This will be removing 400+ pages, does it this make sense? Or should we point them to the homepage? Finally should we do this in one batch or should we slowly remove the pages over the course of a couple weeks. Thanks - appreciate the help in understanding the best practice in terms of SEO.

Getting listed in DMOZ after a red mark against me?

Hi everyone, Before I start, I want to point out that I realise DMOZ is not everything. If I can't get a link, then I'll accept it, but I'd like to try damn hard to get a link in there if possible as I honestly believe we are a reputable company that deserves to be in there with other companies in our region. So, lets go back to the start: A few years ago, when I was young and foolish, I posted a request on rentacoder (now vworker) asking for someone to submit us to DMOZ for $xxx. If I remember correctly, we accepted someone for the job and they submitted our site. Since then, we've never been accepted. I tried submitting the site a couple of years ago and realised it still hadn't been submitted around a year ago. I thought this was a bit strange, so I did a bit of digging. I ended up talking to someone who was a DMOZ editor. They looked at my listing on DMOZ and basically said that I'd be rejected for 'bribing an editor' - something that I still maintain I didn't do. Never at any point have I said to someone that I would pay them to guarantee us a listing. At the time, I thought there was a 'certain way' to write a submission, but now that I've grown up a bit, I've realised it's fairly easy to get a listing if you write a well written description and are honest - I've done this for many clients sites which are now accepted. Unfortunately, this does mean that It looks like I won't be able to get our agency on DMOZ, but I just wanted to give one last push and see if anyone on SEOMoz knows of any one I could speak to in order to lift this ban? I realise now that it was probably a stupid thing to do, and in hindsight, I should have just waited like everyone else. I hold my hands up to that and I've worked over the last few years to grow our agency into something special for our clients. As I say, I realise dmoz isn't everything, but it is a directory that still holds value and I would like to be linked off there if possible. Any tips on how I may be able to beg for my ban to be lifted would be much appreciated. Redirection based on country and impact on rankings

I have a website that ranks number 1 in google.co.uk for its main key term and ranks number 4 in google.com.au. However i would rather that visitors in australia see domain.com.au rather than domain.co.uk. Is there a way to achieve this using some clever 301s without impacting the rankings in australia and so that the .com.au starts to rank in place of the .co.uk OR Would you advise launching a .com.au version of the site hosted separately with unique / re-written content on it.?

How to re-claim Google Places listing?

I have 2 new clients whose Google Places pages were claimed & edited by other SEO companies. No info is available to me on the Google Accounts used to claim them. Both Places listings need significant edits. Is there a way to re-claim these listings with new Google Accounts, in order to edit/optimize them? Or, do I have to create new Places listings and then ask Google to delete the old ones? This situation must be occurring every day, it seems....

Which is better? Remove folder or fix the links and wait?

Dear Mozers, Recently I added a new language to one of my sites in a new folder (www.site.com/es/) but for some reasons many links got broken or were simply sending to a wrong page. This caused a bad indexing and it also showed a lot of duplicate content. I know how to fix it but my question is this: Is it better to remove the second language folder, fix it and then put it back up after a few months or just fix it now as it is and wait for G to come back and index the new links?
