I added a privacy policy link to my footer and now Moz is showing thousands of 4xx errors
-
-
Because putting https://www.utahattorneys.com/privacy-policy/ or just "/privacy-policy" tells the browser where the location of the Privacy Policy is. Otherwise, the browser will think the Privacy Policy page is located in the same folder as the page you're on.

I fixed it per your suggestion and and re-crawled the site, which fixed the issues.
As an SEO newbie, can you please explain why the relative URL would cause those issues but not the absolute URL?
Thanks again! I really appreciate it

Hi there!
Sorry for the confusion!
So it looks like the issue here is that you have entered in a relative link into your footer instead of an absolute link.
[utahattorneys.com/privacy-policy](</span><a href=)">Privacy Policy
vs
[https://www.utahattorneys.com/privacy-policy/](</span><a href=)">Privacy Policy

Changed Domains and Internal Links haven't followed, Old Domain redirects to new domain
On our domain residentiallandlord.com we are a little confused on the Compare Link Profiles option,I'm wondering if you can helpWe changed our domain a few years back and have our old domain redirected to our new domain. On our new domain we have only internal links visible, https://residentiallandlord.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/moz-rl.com.pngbut if you look at our old domain, which goes to our new domain it has loads of internal links, even though there is no physical site on this domain as it redirects to our new one, https://residentiallandlord.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/moz-rl.co.uk.png Can you help me understand why no internal links are showing for the new domain and how to fix this.

Moz Pro: Redirect Chain warning given to pages that don't have redirects
When I look up crawl errors for a page, I'm always told the page suffers from redirect chaining. However, when I do a redirect check (in this case, using the Redirect Path Chrome extension), it indicates that my page does not use a redirect. Why would Moz detect redirects, while no other redirect checker resource does? For example, this URL gets Moz's redirect chain warning: https://www.aem.org/news/january-2018/5-reasons-iot-projects-fail/ But there is no redirect associated with this URL.

I have reviewed the source and cannot use any http: resources.

After adding a new page to optimization section it shows up as dashes
After adding a page to the optimization section, it doesn't put the score, title, or ranking on. It shows up as dashes After adding a new page to the optimization section it shows me my score. I go back to the home page of the optimization section to see it's ranking and all the details are dashes. Like the moz score, the ranking, and the title. It has only been happening recently. What am I doing wrong?

MOZ crawl test is not reporting on all the pages on my site.
I've run the crawl test one of the sites I've taken over SEO for, however its only picking all the pages. For instance it indexes all the pages under xxxxx/us but none under xxxxx/au or xxxxx/uk The pages are being indexed as they're ranking in Google. Thanks.

Crawl Diagnostics: Exlude known errors and others that have been detected by mistake? New moz analytics feature?
I'm curious if the new moz analytics will have the feature (filter) to exclude known errors from the crwal diagnostics. For example, the attached screenshot shows the URL as 404 Error, but it works fine: http://en.steag.com.br/references/owners-engineering-services-gas-treatment-ogx.php To maintain a better overview which errors can't be solved (so I just would like to mark them as "don't take this URL into account...") I will not try to fix them again next time. On the other hand I have hundreds of errors generated by forums or by the cms that I can not resolve on my own. Also these kind of crawl errors I would like to filter away and categorize like "errors to see later with a specialist". Will this come with the new moz analytics? Anyway is there a list that shows which new features will still be implemented? knPGBZA.png?1

Moz Dupe content crawl anomaly
Hi Moz has completed a crawl for a site i'm working on which also has a development area (hence with lots of dupe content) on a sub domain (and this dev area hasn't been hidden from crawlers via password, robots, gwt etc etc). Moz dupe content report is not showing any of these urls though even though my campaign setting is on 'root' domain so i would have thought report should be listing the subdomain urls as dupe content (because they are dupe content). Any ideas ? Cheers Dan
