Paid Manual 10 Guest Post EDU Back-Links - GOOD or BAD idea?
-
Hello,
I know **Fiverr **has been a topic of discussion for a while in regards to cheap and bad SEO work. Most of the threads I found here refer to buying 1000's of EDU backlinks - but what about 10 manually placed that seem legit?
The seller states in his GIG
"I have guest posting privilege at Different University websites. I will write and publish a post there with a dofollow backlink to your website, using your anchor text.
The article will contain one relevant, contextual link to your website, using a suitable anchor text. There would also be a few other links to authority sites (not your competitors’ sites) to make everything look professional and natural."
Could anyone give me advice as to something like this is worth it - or did the seller simply reduce the number from 1000's to 10's to avoid suspicion?
I mean even if 1 of the links is valid - surely it makes a difference? or am I still high on the fiverr dream? I dont expect an instant PR or SERP increase, Im simply wondering if something like this is harmful or beneficial, and to what extent.

It doesn't sound like these links will be good for your website. Anything done "Just for SEO" sounds like a bad idea. These "link building" tactics used to work pre 2007 ish. I would focus on building great content that relevant sites link to.

Hi there,
I would not suggest you to buy any links from Fiverr at all. Most of them are spam. You should look into HARO to get some good links.

Back links off the back of a paid sponsorship deal
Hey Mozzers, I am in need of a bit of advice please? I work for a Gyms chain in the UK and we are sponsoring a major sporting event next month. As part of the deal we get a dedicated webpage and backlink from their high authority website. We do not have a logo and multiple backlinks in the footer on every page of their website, so to my knowledge Google will not necessarily regard this as a paid backlink right? Is there anything in the algorithm that is able to distinguish between the aforementioned backlink and a natural one? Just wondering if our domain is linking to receive the equity or not? Regards Ben

Back links do I need my keyword in them to rank? If so creative way to accomplish this?
The first question is pretty self explanatory. If I do need my keyword I'm trying to rank for in my link example: Looking for a cool skateboard (cool skateboard) is my keyword. Can anyone on here help me come up with some creative ways for me to get folks to post backlinks to my site with that key word in it? Unfortunately my sites url does not have the keyword in my domain.

Sitewide links from affiliates. Good or bad?
We have 14 affiliate sites that have a sitewide banner linked to one of our pages. The banner link is "follow" and contains an alt text that includes a brand name and a keyword. Are these links harming us, or creating value? We were hit by Panda 2.0 - do you think it might be the reason?

Link building during link removal
We were advised by out outsourced link removal vendor not to build any links while they are removing links pointing to our site. I am worried that our site will lose significant traffic if we dont build any new links while waiting for them to remove links that caused our site to be penalized. What are your thoughts?

Good and Bad of Comment Hut?
Hi All, A new client in a competitive market (international car hire - Car Trawler affiliate) is using Comment Hut to gain links to his site. I have not used this service so am wondering, with the latest google stuff, what the good the bad and the ugly is on the comment hut service. Does it work? Should we avoid it? Thanks in advance Steve

What are some good easy links to get for new sites?
We are in the process of launching a couple of new sites and while we know it will be a long process to get them to rank, achieving some long-tail keywords would be beneficial. What sites would you recommend for getting some easy links to start with that can help the indexation and ranking process along in the preliminary stages? Or another way to put the question - when you launch a new site, what steps do you go through?
