Web Core Vitals - scores wildly fluctuate?
-
I have run lighthouse reports multiple times today, and they have bounced up and down 20 points within hours of each other. A coworker ran hist test that returned a 90 while I scored a 68, my next test was an 88? Is this a common issue. I can understand a few points, but this is insanity!

@gpainter thanks! I will check that out. My lighthouse plugin on both chrome and firefox has stopped working.
-
@dezzign Thank you! That is great stuff.
-
as well as what @Dezzign said which are excellent points you can use Googles speed test tool which inf act runs lighthouse under it, you can also use GTmetrix which can also be a great way to see how you're doing, its always good to get a couple of input points.
-
A couple of quick tips that may help:
- Make sure you have the site scrolled to the very top of the screen, otherwise the scores will be different, because the test leverages the visual layout you see on the screen.
So if you're scrolled down the page a bit, and then you do a test, you'll get a different result because of different layout shifts caused by the different non-critical elements taking longer to load. Also, make sure you dock the Dev tools in a different window, so the page being tested has the full normal screen size without Dev tools .at the bottom etc.
- Your co-worker might be viewing the site on a different screen size, so there may be less CLS (cumulative layout shift) happening on their screen size, which is why the scores would be different.

Is there any decent web browser that still displays the full page title at the top of the page?
I just updated to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac and saw that they now hide most of the page title in the browser tab, like Chrome and Safari. I like to be able to see the full page title at all times (for reasons I'm sure you all understand) and that's pretty much the only reason I stuck with Firefox all these years. Now I'm looking for an alternative – any suggestions?

Craw structure for web site about jobs?
Hi there, we have now a client who has a job offering web site. There are many craw errors in it. My question is how should the url structure in a jobs website look like and which pages should be indexed? What is the best way and tips for optimizing a job website? Now the posted jobs pages are dynamically like: examplejob.com/detail-job/1891222223/Careers-for-Mens---Womens/Experienced-Web-Design-Need I see many job websites allow their job offers to be indexed and may be this is useful because some people find jobs also when directly search in Google. Are they using dynamically urls for that? And also my related question is what happens when the job offer expires? When Google craws that page again should it be redirected to 404 page or the original job offer text should be there and just to be added info that this job offer has expired? Otherwise If only it's written that it has expired may be there will be too much duplicate content on many many pages.

Responsive web design and SEO
Hi guys, Do any of you know about responsive web design? In short it's a method that ensures that your website adopts to the resolution on the users screen. The point is that you don't have to make a site for each format, it's all there in your overall design. So, to the question: Does, to your knowledge, an integration of responsive web design harm your SEO? I tried to search for "responsive we design + SEO" but I really didn't get any useful information. Thanks a lot - all comments are very much appreciated.

Yahoo states that's how they role and I can not delete one. I can do a 301 redirect and redirect one site to the other but they do not have a recommendaation as to which one to redicrect. Which one should I redirrect?
