403 Errors Issue
-
Hi, all! I've been working with a Wordpress site that I inherited that gets little to no organic traffic, despite being content rich, optimized, etc. I know there's something wrong on the backend but can't find a satisfactory culprit. When I emulate googlebot, most pages give me a 403 error. Also, google will not index many urls which makes sense and is a massive headache.
All advice appreciated!
The site is https://www.diamondit.pro/
It is specific to WP Engine, using GES (Global Edge Security) and WPWAF

@blueprintmarketing Thanks! I don't write the content, unforunately. This is more of a tech SEO thing. Something happend over the past year from a tech perspective where Google doesn't trust the site. The 403s are part of the rabbit hole i'm digging through.

Please don't think I'm saying something insulting but the content is lacking a lot you could do so much better if you think about somebody's intent when searching it is very unlikely that without a very full picture of the changes being made Google is going to rank you well. This is an example
https://www.diamondit.pro/microsoft-365-suite-subscription-updates-2022/The smart way to do it is to use the same page every year and remove and add new changes as they happen as is done here then you haven't ever lasting URL that should not have a date night remove the 2022 from the link and give them a chronological order will be much better for them to understand the changes as they happen And who knows how long they've been paying attention most likely not very much unless they want something you or have to check it but you'll get much more traffic from a page like the one below.
https://www.computerworld.com/article/3205187/office-365-a-guide-to-the-updates.html
If you want to write really good content do this https://inlinks.net/p/case-studies/importance-of-entity-oriented-search-understanding-for-seo-beyond-strings/
Regarding WP engine and global edge security my opinion of WP engine was very high when I one of the first hundred people to sign up however since then their quality is really gone downhill supports terrible they don't know what they're doing until you get to the top people and it's a pain. Not only that the misconfigured firewall rules all the time
my advice is use a hosting company like https://Pantheon.io
https://servebolt.com , or Pagely.com
every one of them will do this correctly where WP engine frankly fails consistently. -
@simplesearch
Hi: It is connected to search console? It should give you insights on what can be wrong. You can install google plugin but you don't need to if there is already a SEO plugin connected.

Redirecting Homepage to Subdomain Bad or Good Idea??
I have a very old forum that still gets a lot of traffic, but when migrating over to another software that is cloud based we cannot redirect using same domain, SO the only option would to be to change the cname on a subdomain and then REDIRECT all the traffic from the ROOT domain permanently - would this be a bad move as the root domain wouldnt be used anymore as now its just setup to be redirected in order to use the software we need to use? Domain is 17 years old.

What does this error mean?
We recently merged our Google + & Google Local pages and sent a request to Webmaster tools to connect the Google + page to our website. The message was successfully sent. However, when clicking the 'Approve or reject this request' link, the following error message appears: 'Can't find associate request' Anyone know what we are doing incorrectly? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Weird 404 Errors in Webmaster Tools
Hi, In a regular check with Webmaster Tools, I have noticed a sudden increase in the number of "not found-404" errors. So I have been looking at them and noticed something weird has been going on. There are well over 100 pages with 404-errors. The funny thing is, none of the ULR's are correct, For example, if the actual url is something like www.domain.com/latest-reviews , the 404-error points to a non-existent URL like www.domain.com/latest-re And when I checked where they were linked from, they are all from these spammy sites. Anyone know what could be causing these links, why would anyone link on purpose to a non-existent page? cheers,

404 Errors in Google Webmaster Tools
Hello, Google webmaster tools is returning our URLs as 404 errors: http://www.celebritynetworth.com/watch/D5GrrPEN9Oc/tom-mccarthy-floating/ When we enter the URL into the browser it loads the page just fine. Is there a way to determine why Google Webmaster Tools is returning a 404 error when the link loads perfectly fine in a browser? Thanks, Alex
