Yes, page speed is a crucial factor in SEO ranking. Google has indicated that site speed (and as a result, page speed) is one of the signals used by its algorithm to rank pages. The reasoning is that faster pages provide a better user experience than slower ones. Pages that load quickly have higher engagement rates, lower bounce rates, and often, higher conversion rates, which search engines like Google use as indicators of a website's quality and relevance.
In July 2018, Google also rolled out the "Speed Update," which made page speed a ranking factor for mobile searches as well. It's important to note that page speed is just one of many factors that affect SEO rankings, but it's a significant one.
To improve your page speed, consider the following actions:
Optimize images by compressing them without losing quality.
Minimize HTTP requests by reducing the use of scripts and plugins.
Use asynchronous loading for CSS and JavaScript files.
Implement server-side caching, browser caching, and content distribution networks (CDNs).
Optimize CSS delivery and prioritize above-the-fold content (critical render path).
Reduce server response time by using high-performance web hosting.
There are various tools available, such as Google's PageSpeed Insights, which can help you analyze your website's page speed and provide recommendations for improvement. Regularly monitoring and improving your website's page speed is essential for providing a good user experience and can help improve your SEO ranking. -

How to create google account for others

The simple answer is that page speed does affect SEO. Page speed is a direct ranking factor, a fact known even better since Google's Algorithm Speed Update. However, speed can also affect rankings indirectly, by increasing the bounce rate and reducing dwell time
-
Yes, page speed is an important factor for SEO ranking. Google has confirmed that page speed is a ranking signal for both desktop and mobile searches. This means that faster loading pages are more likely to rank higher in search results pages (SERPs).
There are a few reasons why page speed is important for SEO. First, Google wants to provide users with the best possible search experience. This means delivering results that are relevant and useful, and that load quickly. Second, page speed is a signal of the quality of a website. A website that loads quickly is more likely to be well-maintained and updated regularly.
There are a number of things you can do to improve your page speed, such as:
Optimize your images. Images are often one of the biggest culprits when it comes to slow page loading times. Make sure to compress your images and use the right file format.
Minify your code. Minifying your code can remove unnecessary whitespace and comments, which can make your pages load faster.
Use a caching plugin. Caching plugins store static copies of your pages, which can be served to users more quickly than dynamic pages.
Choose a good web hosting provider. A good web hosting provider will have servers that are fast and reliable.
You can use a variety of tools to test your page speed, such as Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix. These tools will give you a score for your page speed and provide recommendations for improvement.
Improving your page speed is a good way to improve your SEO ranking and provide a better user experience for your visitors.

Sure, you have to optimize your web site for Core Web Vitals metrics. (LCP, CLS and INP)

Yes, page speed is crucial for improving SEO ranking, and it can significantly impact your website's performance in search engine results pages (SERPs). This holds true for my website, https://keerthysooraj.com, as well as any other site on the internet. Here's why page speed matters for SEO:
User Experience: Google and other search engines prioritize delivering a great user experience to their users. A slow-loading website frustrates visitors and can lead to a high bounce rate (people leaving your site quickly). When users bounce, it sends a signal to search engines that your content may not be relevant or valuable, which can negatively impact your rankings. Mobile-First Indexing: Google has shifted to a mobile-first indexing approach, which means it primarily uses the mobile version of your site for ranking and indexing. Mobile users often have slower internet connections, so a fast-loading mobile site is critical for SEO. Slow mobile loading times can result in lower rankings. Core Web Vitals: Google has introduced Core Web Vitals as a ranking factor. These vitals include metrics like Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), all of which are related to page speed and user experience. Meeting these criteria can improve your SEO ranking. Crawl Budget: Search engines allocate a limited amount of time and resources to crawl and index websites. If your site is slow, search engine bots may not be able to crawl as many pages as they should, potentially missing important content. This can impact your visibility in search results. Competitive Advantage: In the competitive world of SEO, every advantage counts. If your website loads faster than your competitors', it can attract and retain more visitors, leading to better engagement metrics and potentially higher rankings.
To improve the page speed of my website, https://keerthysooraj.com, I considered these following steps:
Optimize Images: Compress and resize images to reduce their file size without compromising quality. Leverage Browser Caching: Configure your server to instruct browsers to cache resources, reducing load times for returning visitors. Minimize HTTP Requests: Reduce the number of elements on your web pages, such as scripts and stylesheets, to minimize the number of server requests. Eliminate Render-Blocking Resources: Optimize your website's code to minimize the impact of render-blocking JavaScript and CSS. Consider AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages): Implement Google's AMP framework for mobile pages to improve mobile load times. Regularly Monitor and Test: Continuously monitor your website's performance and conduct speed tests using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix. Make adjustments as needed.

Of course, I'll provide a shorter answer:
Yes, page speed is important for SEO rankings. Faster-loading pages enhance user experience, especially on mobile devices. Google considers page speed in its ranking algorithm, and slow pages can lead to higher bounce rates and lower rankings. page speed is crucial for improving SEO ranking. Google has indicated that page speed is one of the ranking factors it considers when determining where a webpage should appear in search results. Here are a few reasons why page speed is important for SEO:
User Experience: Faster-loading pages provide a better user experience. When users can access your content quickly and smoothly, they are more likely to stay on your site, engage with your content, and convert into customers or subscribers.
Bounce Rate Reduction: Slow-loading pages can lead to higher bounce rates, which occur when visitors leave your site shortly after arriving. A high bounce rate can negatively impact your SEO ranking because it suggests that your content may not be relevant or engaging.
Mobile Optimization: With the increasing use of mobile devices for web browsing, page speed is even more critical. Google's mobile-first indexing prioritizes mobile-friendly and fast-loading pages, so optimizing for mobile users can boost your SEO performance.
Core Web Vitals: Google introduced Core Web Vitals as a set of metrics that include page loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability. These metrics have become important ranking factors, emphasizing the significance of page speed in SEO.
Search Engine Crawling: Faster-loading pages are easier for search engine bots to crawl and index. When your pages are accessible and load quickly, search engines can more efficiently understand and rank your content.
To improve your SEO ranking, it's essential to optimize your website's page speed. You can do this by minimizing server response times, optimizing images and other media files, using content delivery networks (CDNs), leveraging browser caching, and implementing efficient coding practices

Absolutely! Page speed is a crucial factor in improving SEO rankings. Here's why:
-
User Experience: At its core, SEO is about delivering the best user experience. Slow-loading websites can frustrate users, leading to higher bounce rates. If users leave your site because it doesn't load quickly, search engines take note and may rank your site lower.
-
Mobile Optimization: With the increasing number of mobile users, it's essential for websites to load quickly on mobile devices. Google's mobile-first indexing considers the mobile version of a site for ranking, and slower page speeds on mobile can negatively impact SEO rankings.
-
Search Engine Ranking Factor: Google has confirmed that page speed is one of the signals used by its algorithm to rank pages. This was emphasized even more with the introduction of the Core Web Vitals, which are a set of metrics related to speed, responsiveness, and visual stability.
-
Increased Conversions: While this is more of a business benefit than an SEO one, faster page speeds have been linked to better conversion rates. If your site loads quickly, users are more likely to stay, engage, and eventually convert, be it signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase.
-
Competitive Advantage: If two websites have similar content quality and authority, but one loads faster than the other, the faster site is likely to rank higher. Thus, optimizing page speed can give you an edge over competitors.
-
Crawl Budget Efficiency: Search engines have a limited crawl budget for each site, meaning they might not crawl all pages of a site if it's too slow. Faster sites ensure that search engines can crawl more pages in less time, improving the likelihood of your content being indexed.
-
Reduction in Resource Usage: Faster websites often mean optimized websites. Optimized sites use server resources more efficiently, ensuring that servers respond faster to search engine crawlers, further enhancing SEO.
In example: see my NDIS Service Providers Advance Care Agency https://advancecareagency.com.au/
In conclusion, page speed is not just a technical metric but is deeply intertwined with user experience, conversion, and search engine visibility. Investing in speed optimization is essential for anyone serious about improving their site's SEO ranking.

Google, in particular, considers mobile-friendliness and mobile page speed when ranking websites for mobile search results.
Search engines like Google may use site speed as a ranking factor in their algorithms. A faster website can outrank slower competitors for the same keywords and content, assuming other factors are equal.
Search engine bots crawl and index web pages to determine their relevance and ranking. A slow website can hinder the crawling process, potentially leading to incomplete indexing and negatively affecting your SEO. -
YES. Page speed is an extremely important factor with any search engine and SEO administration. Some of the factors listed below will boost your website page load time tremendously.
- Image Optimization : Several factors are involved with images affecting speed.
- Create images in new formats for web: .png, .webp, .jpg, etc..
- Size of the image needs to be respectfully proportional to its intended size.
- COMPRESSION - This is super important. Compress your images with two different compression apps or online services.
-
Code Validation - Use w3c to validate the html and css code. Validated code will allow for faster load times.
-
Javascript - for maximum loading results, there needs to be no more than 3 Javascript files. The scripts in your page that are 3rd party need to be made to trigger from an event listener instead of auto loading. Custom refined Javascript are better than using huge libraries.
- Static Resources - making images, scripts, css, and page portions load to different pages from one source is great to produce faster loading pages.
There are many factors involved to achieve maximum load speeds. Two essential "FREE" tools can be found at:

Yes, page speed is indeed crucial for improving SEO ranking. Google and other search engines prioritize user experience, and a slow-loading website can lead to a poor user experience. When your website loads quickly, it not only keeps users engaged but also signals to search engines that your site is efficient and user-friendly. This can positively impact your SEO ranking.

Yes, page speed is important to improve SEO ranking. Google has confirmed that page speed is a ranking factor, and studies have shown that faster websites tend to rank higher in search results.
There are a few reasons why page speed is important for SEO. First, it affects the user experience. If your website takes too long to load, users are more likely to leave and click on another website. This can lead to a higher bounce rate, which can negatively affect your SEO ranking.
Second, page speed can affect the number of pages that Google indexes. Googlebot, the crawler that Google uses to index websites, can only crawl a limited number of pages per day. If your website takes too long to load, Googlebot may not be able to crawl all of your pages, which can hurt your ranking. Recently, i have also improve page speed of my website https://www.startdigitaly.com/ and it helps me to improve overall SEO Ranking in Google.
Third, page speed can affect the number of backlinks that you receive. Studies have shown that websites with faster loading times tend to receive more backlinks. This is because people are more likely to link to websites that are easy to use and navigate.
-
@dinerobits I think Google has many factors for ranking, but page speed is an important factor to consider. When you notice that other websites are ranking but have low speeds, they have other strong factors to rank, such as the brand name.
-
Yes definitely speed is one of the top reasons why the site ranking does not improve and beat competitors on the first page of search results. Better site speed also improve the bounce rate and conversion. It gives better user experience to your site visitors. if you need any assistance with technical SEO consulting, reach out to Continuum.

There is no doubt that page speed is important for SEO ranking. Studies have shown that the faster a page loads, the higher it ranks in search engine results pages. This is because Google and other search engines take into account factors such as load time when determining where to rank a website. But I've also seen slow websites that rank better than faster websites, and that's because Google takes into account many factors when ranking websites, not just the page speed.
One may put it this way: it is important to have a fast-loading pages, as that helps with better UX and lower bounce rates. But if you're low on the other ranking factors, slower but better-structured websites(with more backlinks) can easily outrank you.
-
My customer has seen almost %30 percent increase in ad revenues after I fixed his site for various speed problems - now scoring over 80% with mobile and web.
I believe it's important - it should be. Why not? Google will lower energy bills with faster sites, at least
-
It's always, but after 2018 - page load speed is important for SEO because it is one of the key determining factors for Google's algorithm.
Slow sites turn visitors away. Bounce rate can increase as well and fast sites provide good user experiences for your visitors, and Google will rank those sites higher than slow-loading ones.
Make sure your website open within 1 to 5 secs. More than 5 secs can hurt site performance. I would like to suggest you to use Google web development tool to check and analysis your website. Let me know if you have question
-
Yes, the theory says that page speed is very important for the ranking of any website, but in practice, I see many top ranking sites with a page speed... even below 50! Sometimes it's a bit complicated to understand Google
-
Yes, it is. Think about it. Would you like going on a website that takes over an hour to load? Page speed inherently improves user experience and also traffic. For example, check out Your SEO Shop’ s website if you are looking for SEO online shops. Any page of theirs takes only a second to load.
-
Optimizing your page load time benefits users from a fast loading page which results in a good user experience. If you do not optimize for page load time and your website loads slowly then users are likely to get frustrated and click away from your site.
User experience is measured by Google under Core Web Vitals and you can see its details in:
a) Google Search Console > Page experience
b) Google Lighthouse Audit
c) Google Page Speed InsightsThere were core algorithm updates in Q2-Q3 2021 related to page experience where websites with poor page experience scores had a drop in overall visibility in SERPs.
Therefore, you should optimize page load time as it benefits your overall user experience and impacts all traffic channels is not just important for SEO.
-
It's a bit hard to determine a certain weight that Google applies for websites that have good page speed.
However, I've noticed the biggest improvement gained from fast-loading websites isn't just more organic search traffic, but a higher site-wide conversion rate.
I was able to get my own SEO consulting website up to green core-web vitals and noticed a big lift in conversion rate as a result.
-
Out of my experience about SEO, I feel page speed does not affect much when you are trying to rank of Search Engine. In overall you may have impacted by visitor leaving the page early, if page does not get loaded properly. Here reduction in visitors may affect your SE positions.
-

I have been doing SEO for quite a while and know that speed optimization is now a part of Core Web Vitals. You can login to search console to check it out and your site must pass CWV. In other words, speed of the site is definitely important and is a ranking factor for sure. How much weightage it has is something nobody can actually tell.

@jasparcj be aware though that if you are running on shared hosting, and using Wordpress, you are going to find it difficult to get a blisteringly fast page speed. I've looks across various hosts and different websites, google always complains about 'reduce server response time' which seem to be anything from 06s - 1.2s.

Yes, Site speed is a Google ranking factor. Google indicated that page speed is one of the signals that are used by algorithms to rank pages. Page speed is also an important factor that affects user experience. research shows that pages with longer loading speed will have a higher bounce rate.
Here are some ways to reduce your page speed
- Minify CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
- Reduce redirects
- Remove render-blocking JavaScript
- Use Caching
- Optimize Images
- Enable Gzip compression
-
Page speed is most important for your user's experience. You will likely see a high bounce rate if you have a slow site.

Redirection of 100 domain to Main domain affects SEO?
Hi guys, An email software vendor managed by a different area of my company redirected 100 domains used for unsolicited email campaigns to my main domain. These domains are very likely to get blacklisted at some point. My SEO tool now is showing me all those domains as "linking" to my main site as do-follow links. The vendor states that this will not affect my main domain/website in any way. I'm highly concerned. I would appreciate your professional opinion about this. Thanks!!

Google ranking content for phrases that don't exist on-page
I am experiencing an issue with negative keywords, but the “negative” keyword in question isn’t truly negative and is required within the content – the problem is that Google is ranking pages for inaccurate phrases that don’t exist on the page. To explain, this product page (as one of many examples) - https://www.scamblermusic.com/albums/royalty-free-rock-music/ - is optimised for “Royalty free rock music” and it gets a Moz grade of 100. “Royalty free” is the most accurate description of the music (I optimised for “royalty free” instead of “royalty-free” (including a hyphen) because of improved search volume), and there is just one reference to the term “copyrighted” towards the foot of the page – this term is relevant because I need to make the point that the music is licensed, not sold, and the licensee pays for the right to use the music but does not own it (as it remains copyrighted). It turns out however that I appear to need to treat “copyrighted” almost as a negative term because Google isn’t accurately ranking the content. Despite excellent optimisation for “Royalty free rock music” and only one single reference of “copyrighted” within the copy, I am seeing this page (and other album genres) wrongly rank for the following search terms: “free rock music”

“Copyright free rock music"
“Uncopyrighted rock music”
“Non copyrighted rock music” I understand that pages might rank for “free rock music” because it is part of the “Royalty free rock music” optimisation, what I can’t get my head around is why the page (and similar product pages) are ranking for “Copyright free”, “Uncopyrighted music” and “Non copyrighted music”. “Uncopyrighted” and “Non copyrighted” don’t exist anywhere within the copy or source code – why would Google consider it helpful to rank a page for a search term that doesn’t exist as a complete phrase within the content? By the same logic the page should also wrongly rank for “Skylark rock music” or “Pretzel rock music” as the words “Skylark” and “Pretzel” also feature just once within the content and therefore should generate completely inaccurate results too. To me this demonstrates just how poor Google is when it comes to understanding relevant content and optimization - it's taking part of an optimized term and combining it with just one other single-use word and then inappropriately ranking the page for that completely made up phrase. It’s one thing to misinterpret one reference of the term “copyrighted” and something else entirely to rank a page for completely made up terms such as “Uncopyrighted” and “Non copyrighted”. It almost makes me think that I’ve got a better chance of accurately ranking content if I buy a goat, shove a cigar up its backside, and sacrifice it in the name of the great god Google! Any advice (about wrongly attributed negative keywords, not goat sacrifice ) would be most welcome.0 -
How to get rid of bad backlinks
So I noticed my rankings going down and spam score going up. So under my spam score there are over 100 links for different websites but ALL redirect to semalt.com I researched it and it says they hijacked a bunched of backlinks but don't know much more. How can I get rid of all those backlinks? I was told I could use the disavow tool but apparently that can hurt my ranking as well. The semalt.com site has no backlink to me - it looks like the pages that have/had my backlinks, they've redirected to them. For instance this is one of the links http://www.oxvideos.xyz/indianantyphotoxxx 422005fb-9240-40a4-8b65-f5b1f5079dea-image.png

Does anyone know of a tool where you can get all of the keyword that any given landing page is ranking for?
I'd like to find out what landing pages are ranking for which keywords, but I haven't been able to find a tool that does it. I was hoping there would be something where I could submit the url and get a list of every keyword it is ranking for. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Will "internal 301s" have any effect on page rank or the way in which an SE see's our site interlinking?
We've been forced (for scalability) to completely restructure our website in terms of setting out a hierarchy. For example - the old structure : country / city / city area Where we had about 3500 nicely interlinked pages for relevant things like taxis, hotels, apartments etc in that city : We needed to change the structure to be : country / region / area / city / cityarea So as patr of the change we put in place lots of 301s for the permanent movement of pages to the new structure and then we tried to actually change the physical on-page links too. Unfortunately we have left a good 600 or 700 links that point to the old pages, but are picked up by the 301 redirect on page, so we're slowly going through them to ensure the links go to the new location directly (not via the 301). So my question is (sorry for long waffle) : Whilst it must surely be "best practice" for all on-page links to go directly to the 'right' page, are we harming our own interlinking and even 'page rank' by being tardy in working through them manually? Thanks for any help anyone can give.
