What is the best SEO URL design for keywords with a period?
-
Quick question,
Assume my keyword is the German soccer team "1.FC Nuremberg". What is the best URL design to target that keyword?
or
Any thoughts? Does it make - even a tiny - difference?
/Thomas
-
As mentioned, the keyword is 1.FC Nuremberg which is naturally what users are typing into Google.
-
Depends how people are typing it in to Google.
-
I would go for the "domainname.com/1-fc-nuremberg" version
Reason, google can pic words out of a url, but I doubt they can pick out that you want 1 and fc to be seperate.

Best way to manage SEO for a massive events listing website.
I run a website that tracks entertainment for the entire state of South Dakota. While I've made some fantastic strides in gaining traffic, I feel lost on how to manage all those entries in an SEO friendly manner. I have a TON of errors showing on my crawl diagnostics and I just don't know what to do. The nature of the website is such that there are going to be duplications all over the place. I know that I can help some of this by getting my canonical links setup properly (that's coming in my next version of the site's theme), but what else should I do to make those event listings friendly for the SE's?? http://www.entertainsd.com

Thanks

Watermarking Keywords
I've been viewing an seo companies website that claims to get small business websites to Google Page 1 for free or starting at $150/mo. I'v noticed that on all the website this company has done work on they include in the footer (usually as a watermark) all the keyword phrases. There don't apprear to be any sites that have been penalized. Isn't this poor SEO practice? I've included a screen shot of what I'm talking about. I just want to be clear. Thank you for your input. SEO Benefit/Liability of changing URLs of a 2 year old site
I sell RV Parts online. Our organization is called The ROUTE 66 RV Network, so we brand everything around ROUTE 66. When we launched our store 2 years ago, we launched it with the domain: parts66.com We have a PR of 2, and we have been doing an SEO linkbuilding campaign ever since it has been around. Our primary keyword that we are trying to rank for is RV PARTS We also own the domain: rvparts66.com My question is: Is there a significant benefit to switching our URL to RVPARTS66.COM? Does having our primary keyword a part of our URL give us an SEO benefit? If so, what is the best way to keep any credit we have built for our original domain? We are in the process of a complete site overhaul which will launch in a couple weeks, so if there is ever a time to switch domains, the time is now. Thanks! jc
