How long has the keyword difficulty tool had these limits in place?
-
While working against a tight deadline, I was surprised to see the following message:
"We're sorry. Currently we are only able to offer results for 300 keywords per user per day. Please come back tomorrow"
How long has this limit been in place and is the limit listed anywhere during the signup process? I rarely use this tool for more than 10-20 keywords at a time, so I have not run into this issue before.

Hi Aaron, thanks for the quick response and pointing me to the FAQs.

Hey David! Sorry to hear that you hit that limit in the Keyword Difficulty tool when you were trying to run reports before your deadline. We should definitely look into adding language to the homepage of that tool so this limit isn't as ambiguous. We've had the 300 keyword limit for a while (maybe a year or two?) and mention it in the FAQ, but you'd have to look at the FAQ to know about it, so if you never do then it's not helpful there. Here's a link: http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty/faq.
As I mentioned, I'll talk to the team about adding clear language about the limit to the homepage of the tool. Thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience! In the future, if you need help with technical issues with the tools, please email us at help@seomoz.org. We can usually give quicker service there. Thank you! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Branded keywords
I'm trying to understand this concept a little further. Say if I create a branded keyword, "dc widgets" I then start to add keywords such as "maker" "toy" and apply the branded keyword to it. Does this mean that they then become "maker dc widgets" and "toy dc widgets" ? What purpose does branded keywords offer?

I am experimenting with Raven Tools and have a question
Since I am an in-house SEO I'm a little slower to adopt some of the paid tools out there, but I am thinking of jumping in and opting for the paid version of Raven Tools. Can anyone who's currently using Raven Tools suggest how and where is the best place to export backlinks info for import into the Link Manager? I want something that will give me as much of the data as possible already filled in (i.e. PR, domain authority, anchor text, follow/no follow information etc.). I don't mind if I have to rearrange it, I just don't want to have to be inputting things like PR and anchor text one at a time by hand. I do have SEOMoz pro and I see that I can pull a CSV of backlinks and do two separate reports, one for followed and one for not followed links, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has any additional suggestions. How about Ahrefs.com? Is anyone using the paid version of that tool in conjunction with Raven Tools for Link Management? Is there a better tool out there for Link Management than Raven Tools? (I just found this link in a Q & A thread for an open source SEO panel to try...http://www.seopanel.in/ - anyone using that one?) Thanks all!

Keyword analysis - error with difficulty %
Hello everyone! Edge of all, I like and I use very often the "Keyword analysis" tool . However, recently, I have some difficulty to rely on the difficulty % of the keywords I've added. As an example I entered as keywords for a french speaking client, words with a geographical reference. It gives me a percentage too high because I am almost convinced that it would probably not be difficult to work with. My question is: is there any known errors with keywords georeferenced French (google canada - english) and also what to trust when I want proof of the difficulty of a keyword in case of some errors may occur in the tool.

Best Tool to Build List of Competitor's Top Keywords?
What is the best (hopefully seomoz) tool to create a list of the keywords bringing the most traffic into a competitor's website? Goal is to build a list of keywords that bring the competitor the most traffic, stack ranked by volume of traffic coming into the competitor.
