Hope that helps,
Thomas
here is a blog by Dr. Pete that was just posted today regarding whether you should use GWT or some other methods
http://moz.com/blog/comparing-ranktracking-methods-browser-vs-crawler-vs-webmaster-tools
I agree with Jesse & Greg on this one each of them have come up with very clear simple answers to your question.
the idea of analyzing click impressions through Google Webmaster tools when you have access to Google analytics and your end goal is to find out if you are doing better in the SERPS
tells me you should be using one of the tools below. They will tell you exactly what has gone up and what has gone down.
https://moz.com/researchtools/rank-tracker
You may also utilize tools such as
while it is not perfect it will give you a good amount of insight into the keywords you do not already know you might be ranking for.
I hope this helps,
Thomas
I think the most important thing you said was that you simplify things for a better user experience.
we are in a form now and I don't believe it is dead
When you think of a form or a blog you can draw a lot of similarities.
For instance a blog is primarily about one topic and allows for people to discuss that topic where they form may allow somebody to create a topic and have others discuss it but most of the discussion is still conducted by people not creating the topics.
I would utilize blogging and the large social media networks that dominate today's SERPS you can get a lot of eyeballs on one post.
If you utilize them correctly and build up a strong authoritative presence where your trusted people will naturally go back to your website to seek answers and services.
I hope this helps,
Thomas
I agree with Jesse he hit it on the head.
if you can get Yoast I would recommend him.
Web dev Studios is fantastic
you might want to consider a high-end search engine optimization firm as a company to work with along with a developer.
For instance
seer interactive
portent
Internet marketing ninjas
evolvingseo
some other developers in WordPress Gregreindel.com
you may want to speak to local search experts you can find many of them at getlisted.org
is a good place to start.
All the best,
Thomas
Hi Keri,
Thank you very much I will bookmark that URL.
Sincerely,
Thomas
Hi Jesse,
I agree with everything Jesse has said in fact doing the exact amount of time you're going to put into purchasing or the what the money would cost putting that into paying a firm or someone on O desk to actually go in and post your blog articles to Google + along with the other relevant social media networks will far outweigh starting off with a big negative.
if you think about it Google will figure out very quickly that somebody who just put a website online did not accumulate 100 +1s in the first hour of being online or however quickly they show up. It will be too fast and it will be from the same network or IP address Google is not dumb they have figured this stuff out long time ago and people selling it are sharks trying to take advantage of people.
stay away from anything Google says is a bad way to go and you will be starting a website in the best possible manner.
Thank you Jesse very good points.
Sincerely,
Thomas
this advice is black hat
if you don't want to take it from me read this.
http://techie-buzz.com/tech-news/buying-google-plus-one-votes-seo-firms.html
Patrick in order to you to say your hundred percent white hat you actually have to practice that.
Respectfully,
Thomas
Patrick,
are you saying you disagree with me because I am not for doing this and you believe it is a good idea? Simply because somebody has 100 +1s will not take a difference if somebody has landed on their page they will not be deterred in my opinion by the lack of close ones shown in fact you do not have to show how many posts once you have nor how many Facebook likes or twitter posts.
I disagree with your advice to purchase a small amount of +1's if caught your site is sunk it will not be something Google goes lightly on and I am confused Patrick you say you would never engage in blackhat tactics well buying rather it be +1's, twitter followers or Facebook likes is against Google's terms therefore it is black hat
this idea is 100% black hat regardless of using a small amount or not don't do it why would you want to start off with a contaminated site I hate to use the decisive words however that is exactly what it would be.
Spend your time and money on content and building something people actually want to come and visit not by trying to trick them into visiting your website.
Can you honestly tell me that if you were the first person to see a site and you liked the content that was there that you would actually leave because of lack of +1's ? I have never done that ever and would never do that simply because if it's quality content and meets your needs than You have accomplished a lot more than most people have.
Do not take your money and time and do something against Google's terms of service with it.
I hope you see where I am coming from and you will not hear crickets if you do not have X. amount of favorable social media likes in fact turn that off on your site that's where I would recommend just make a very nice looking button for each of the big social media players Facebook, twitter Google+ and linkedin
obviously rather to use linkedin facebook sometimes depends on what you're actually doing with your website.
Here are examples of websites that look fantastic and utilize their own social media buttons that do not show how many likes they have or shares
http://demo.studiopress.com/minimum/
&
http://demo.studiopress.com/quattro/
both offer easy to find social media buttons that blend in to the theme itself. Neither rather one that is very prominent or the other which is in any appropriate place but not taking over the website show how many times they've been clicked. This is a choice you can make when putting buttons on your website via whatever social media system you choose.
Sincerely,
Thomas
that makes a lot of sense browsers switching to SSL by default I bet by now it's more than just Safari on iPhone's doing it.
Thank you EGOL
sincerely,
Thomas
I would strongly advise against buying +1s
anything against Google's terms are going to come back and bite you really badly.
Especially something as close to Google as its own social network I would not waste your time or money on trying to trick Google into getting ranked.
Spend the time and the money on legitimate ways of getting ranked.
Sincerely,
Thomas
Hi Keri,
You will need Google analytics for things like recommending keywords and some other tools still?
does Moz intend on implementing a Java script code that could be placed on a site anytime in the near future?
Sincerely,
Thomas
I think that the proper way to do it is through budget primarily
if you can afford to build a website that is going to be able to geo-target using the right TLD for whatever country I would utilize geo-DNS to accomplish this however I would create new content for each page the reason for this is because of the
issue talked about here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igbrm1z_7Hk
you may also utilize tools from http://www.neustarlocaleze.biz/directory/clarity.aspx
sincerely,

John,
I agree 100% with Chris do not under any circumstances build a link network. You are much better off not messing with Google's temper. Essentially if you were to do that even with the best intentions you would be waiting for it to be destroyed by Google rather it's immediately or if it is in the far future it will fail.
Do not do this under any circumstances I hope this is of some help,
Thomas
Moz analytics is based off of being connected to Google analytics in order for it to work properly.
I could see how you would want to add a site map as Google requests that you do that however is not something that is needed using Moz analytics.
I hope this sheds some light on your question.
Thomas
I agree with you I think Google is messing with the data quite a bit and looking at Google analytics everything you say makes sense.
I still see the big drop however the drop is not as intense for instance it shows approximately twice as many visitors as hubspot is showing.
The GA and kiss metrics version of what I can see is dramatic in the middle of July as well.
For instance kiss metrics shows a fall on July 4 where hubspot shows what is seen above.
I think Google could be blocking quite a bit of data coming out.
sincerely,
Thomas
you are absolutely right. Thank you for having me do that in fact as you can see direct traffic and organic traffic has fallen off a cliff this shows the beginning of June until today.
So the traffic went from approximately 20,000 visitors a day down to approximately 2000 visitors a day.
Almost all of it was direct traffic before does this match with what you had seen?
As far as the amount of direct verse organic?
thank you sincerely,
Thomas
Here is a general outlook from HubSpot this is a site I'm working on.
The blue equals direct traffic the green equals organic search the orange equals referral and yellow social media.
When I go back in my analytics I get about the same portion of organic verse direct.
Is this something that looks odd to you or do you think this is in line with what you see as well?
I'm sorry I cannot show the numbers for you I hope you guys understand.
Sincerely,
Thomas
Hi Keri,
what are the plans as far as allowing people to find that URL now.
That is exactly what I was looking for I found something similar to it in open site Explorer however I am logged in through moz analytics although I switched back to pro when I was searching is there a easier way to find this tool than simply having to bookmark or remember the URL?
Will it stay with us when the entire platform moves over to Moz analytics?
sincerely,
Thomas
Hi EGOL you bring up a great point I just checked my Google Analytics and found the exact same thing.
I agree it has to be a change with Google in fact I have almost 100% direct traffic via GA but HubSpot shows me much more it must be Google changing things however check out hubspot and you'll see what I mean.
Sincerely,
Thomas
you have a private message waiting just so you know
that is fantastic that you're doing so well I am happy for you.
I can give you another lead as to where to get quality link building and maybe save a couple bucks.
Go to http://www.thehiredguns.com/gigs/find-talent/ it is a fantastic method to get top-quality people and save a couple bucks.
I can PM you and give you more information.
Sincerely,

it appears this is very common.
if I were you I would set up accounts with alternate analytics providers and see what you get.
Or
mix panel does not cost anything to use when starting out. I would utilize them as a backup to Google analytics
if you're using WordPress a free plug-in is available here
https://github.com/zippykid/mixpanel-wordpress
a alternative is to use https://segment.io/ either with Google analytics or without it this will allow you much more granular control over GA or whatever analytics provider you choose.
To fix this problem though I would

I agree with you it most likely is the #197
however Google bot is able to crawl your site. The most effective method I can think of is to take the site that is not intentionally hidden from Google and 301 redirect it to the proper URL.
After that then take the new URL and add it to google index via Webmaster tools as well as posted on twitter to get it indexed faster if you feel that is the need.
The hash tag is showing you're using Ajax which is most likely causing this issue. Is there a reason you created this # tag link?
Was it part of analytics this most likely has everything to do with your analytics tracking you may want to look at that prior to changing URLs.
Take a look at your site using this tool it will show you essentially what Google bot is able to see.
http://www.feedthebot.com/tools/spider/test.php
The site code I'm looking at is in need of optimization also the twitter button that should appear at the bottom is not rendering correctly in Safari just so you know.
I can recommend a high-quality developer if you need one.
Hope this helps,
Thomas
Hi Robert,
Thank you for telling me that. I had not realized that was what was being asked.
I completely agree with you as far as I know the only way you can change a site link is to remove it from Google's SERPs as shown in the photos attached in your answer below.
Tadbir,
Please accept my apology I missed the boat on that one. However Robert is 100% correct I am thankful he was able to answer your question.
All the best,
Thomas
hi I want to tell you I could not agree more with what EGOL has stated if you are not losing traffic and your conversions more importantly are staying up there regular domain fluctuation is normal and nothing to worry about unless it gets very serious.
You can utilize tools like MozCast as well as SERPS to figure out if it is just Google making minor changes that don't really affect your business or if it is something more serious. If you were to tell me you dropped down to a 25 I would be worried however as EGOL said much better than I can normal fluctuation is nothing to worry about and it is a normal thing.
Here are the links to the tools if you want to utilize them.

I almost completely forgot there is a program called segment.io
it is a fantastic method of implementing analytics code from Google all the way to crazy egg and many more.
This method also will give you abilities that you did not have much more easily than some of the other methods. Please take a look
https://segment.io/docs/big-picture/what-we-do
https://segment.io/docs/integrations/mixpanel
assuming you also send out a thank you e-mail telling them you're going to reply quickly you may want to also implement this tool
http://customer.io/docs/integration-with-mixpanel-kissmetrics.html
I currently use it and it is fantastic. However I use DynECT Email something I due only because I received the full e-mail package when I purchased my DNS package for free so you will want to stick with either sendgrid or mailGun both are truly spectacular systems as well.
Sincerely,
Thomas
hi,
I hope you're able to see this URL from kiss metrics I know it is in their support section and I am a member so I was logged in when I retrieved it.
Because I focus a lot on user segmentation I feel kiss metrics is a better fit for my personal uses. However this most likely can be done in a very similar fashion using Google analytics or if you don't want to pay the money kiss metrics charges mixpanel offers a excellent solution with a base price of free
http://support.kissmetrics.com/tutorial/event-library-tutorial/events-form-tutorial.html
if you use WordPress and want to use mixpanel go to Git or simply Google ZippyKid Mixpanel Vid Luther owner of zippy kid and all-around good guy has made the plug-in for Word press and offered it to the public for free.
here is the way to accomplish that task in mix panel
https://mixpanel.com/docs/integration-libraries/javascript-full-api#track_forms
I think in any of these situations you are going to have to either go off the URL the form is on to figure out where they came from as well as which form they used.
That's a fairly straightforward method the other way would be to give each form a unique name rather it's labeling them contact panel one through 60 or simply using the combined information to get the data you looking for.
In my own experience and I must be honest I'm not as experienced and Google analytics as I am in kiss metrics you may need to go to a new level and analytics using one of the two companies I have listed will give you what you need. However there may be a way to accomplish the same thing in Google analytics now that they have universal analytics out there are a lot more options available.
I hope this helps,
Thomas
I thought this might help as well
ultraDNS or neustar I feel is not as good of a value in comparison to DynECT however in this particular case where you're trying to serve information to specified countries that will be speaking different languages and you will not want to use cookies or Java when doing it I would utilize a system like this as it is specifically designed for what you're doing. I can tell you from using this company in the past for my DNS needs ( again I primarily use DynECT and prefer it) that neustar in this instance may be a better fit because of its much larger offering into Internet marketing especially the fact that every other DNS manufacturer but I have ever heard of and I do research DNS quite a bit use one company for geo-DNS other than neustar

I understand best of luck to you and I hope that fixes the problem. Sincerely, Thomas
you are currently using different TLD's in order to optimize for each country correct?
If so Google bot needs to be told in Webmaster tools when setting up each new TLD which country to target.
If you do not do this and you are using a JavaScript switch in order to target different countries you will most likely end up with Google bot doing what it's doing targeting your first domain
if you are thinking about cloaking I would strongly advise against it it will only hurt you in your efforts to get ranked.
I would not use JavaScript to do this I would use DNS and the CDN's
for instance I would use DynECT they have excellent geo-DNS and have been doing this for a long time.
Please look at

I would try using this tool and see if it gives you what you need before that it will tell you very quickly if you have duplicate title tags
http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/advanced_exports
I understand your dilemma and if you need it faster and the site is under 200 pages as Roger bot only crawls 200 pages the first run I would go ahead and do what you have to do Only if the above tool does not work.
Sincerely,
Thomas
You may also use
http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/advanced_exports
this will give you the ability to search for any issues with your site and the answers you're looking for within a much shorter time. Then the campaign would take.
Sincerely,
Thomas
can you say restart a campaign from zero you can do one of two things you can either delete and restart like you did. Or you could put the campaign into an archive this is what I would've done. The reason for this is you can still add more campaigns if it is archived and you will not lose the data. The other reason is if you're fixing duplicate content like title tags you can simply wait until the campaign is run a second time the next week if it is set on a weekly basis. And it will give you the information You are looking for.
if you are still wondering rather not you have duplicate title tags or duplicate anything
you can use this tool if you have Moz analytics available to you
http://analytics.moz.com/search/analyze-page-issues/383525.156730
if you want to double test you can run your site through raven tools 30 days free and have it give you similar information. I would do this only if you feel you cannot resolve this here which is something you can do with many tools here screaming frog spider SEO tool is also a great way to determine if you have issues with your site.
sincerely,
Thomas
Link building is something that is getting harder every day. I think only you will know the answer of rather not it is time to move to a professional search engine optimization service and request link building.
Mostly you can earn links with content things like schema and video help out quite a bit when I say video I mean wistia not YouTube.
I would look at evolvingSeo.com
Internet marketing ninjas
seer interactive
any recommend companies shown in the link at the bottom of the page
link building obviously has any place but is done differently now. To simply asked somebody to build links is a gamble and you want to make sure that company is a extremely reliable company it is worth spending the money on the best if you are going to go down this path.
Sincerely,
Thomas
if you're keywords are something extremely easy to rank for and are not competitive at all then your site will rank for those keywords if it is the only one trying to.
For instance if I had gobbledygook as my keyword I'm sure I could rank very well.
If you're trying to determine whether or not the search came from a robot or not.
Use the IP address who.is it will show you rather not it is a bot most of the time.
It should not really be concerning if you are getting traffic that is always a good thing. What I would care about is converting that traffic into either a customer or whatever your business actually has set out to achieve.
Can you give me an example of the keywords? If you like you can use what's called a this tool to tell you rather not your keyword is hard to rank for or not.
https://moz.com/researchtools/keyword-difficulty
if it turns out to be bots that are bothering you. A tool like cloud flair will help you.
However a bot will not enter a keyword in your analytics I know it is tough to separate people from bots today because so many people are signed in to Google and its encrypted using SSL however if there is a keyword search that you can see in your analytics that is 99% of the time a person.
I hope this helps,
Thomas
hi,
if you're site is already ranking at the top of Google for a year I would be careful about playing with the title tag to that.
However yes of course you can have one link that is dedicated simply to a brand name. Example.com/brand-name
title tag = brand name
you may also dedicate another page with a different URL and different content on it to any non branded term you wish.
title tag equals = nonbranded
if you are talking about using your home page for both know that is not possible you could do a combination. Or pick one or the other.
title tag = brand name
title tag = Not brand-name
or you could optimize it to carry both.
title tag non branded term - brand name
whichever you place first will have more power in Google meaning if you put your brand name before your non-branded term you will definitely rank stronger for your brand name however for most companies this is not an issue ranking for your brand name unless it is very common. If it is a common term I would place it first if it's not I would place it second.
I hope I've been of help,
Thomas
if you have deleted the campaign and placed the identical information back in it should be finished in 24 hours or less.
However if you are just looking for the title of something I would use a another tool sometimes it takes campaigns a bit longer to get all the information from your site I believe a lot of results sometimes depend on Roger Bots ability to crawl your site completely. I know the first 24 hours I believe only does 200 pages maximum I could be incorrect on that.
I would use a simple tools such as on page grader to see if it finds your title tag
you can always run it through open site explore

here are some tips.

Happy Labor Day weekend everyone.
I wish you a speedy recovery Robert Godspeed.
Keri, thank you for your kind words.
Was that the Bismarck that was sunk in the video? I have a business that sells plastic to Blohm & Voss that they use when manufacturing new ships. I love remote control cars the ships look awesome.
17 years ago now I just turned 36 on August 24 I served in the German military as part of compulsory service or Wehrpflicht I did this for nine months although I live in the United States most of the time now I was born in Germany and still hold my citizenship. I never was deployed In an engagement. However I have the utmost respect for people who have served their country.
Creg,
I agree with what everyone has stated. It is fantastic advice.
To everyone.
I really enjoy search engine optimization as well and truly enjoy answering questions.
All the best,

Hi Mohammed,
I apologize if I mistook your question. Let me see if I can answer that correctly for you.
one method would be to use Alexa and type in simply most popular blogs do not check off any other categories or countries. It will then give you a list of the most popular blogs and the way it decides what is more popular than the other is by how much traffic the blogs receive here is the URL with the query in it.
http://www.alexa.com/search?q=most+popular+blogs&p=gkey&r=site_screener
if you use Google blog search it will target only blogs and give you the ability to query only blogs when you wish to find information on them.
http://www.google.com/blogsearch
this website below uses Alexa gives you exactly what you are asking for as far as the most popular blogs and it allows you to set it via month and go back and look at the past as well
http://www.ebizmba.com/articles/blogs
in other method of finding the most popular posts would be to use this tool for blogger
http://www.blogger.webaholic.co.in/2011/05/popular-posts-widget-for-blogger.html
I would consider signing up for discuss and querying which blogs receive the most comments
here is a article on how to find the most popular blogs for your topic
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/06/how-to-quickly-find-good-blogs-that.html
Here is a interesting article from life hacker on how to get only the blog posts you want via RSS
http://lifehacker.com/344188/get-only-the-posts-you-want-from-lifehackers-site-feeds
here are the top websites in the world
here is about.com and a list of the 10 most popular blogs in the world
http://webtrends.about.com/od/profile1/tp/Top-10-Most-Popular-Blogs.htm
one method is to use a tool like Alexa something that indexes and already knows the popularity of the websites it gives you access to. For instance I can go into category "top sites" "news" then select "weblogs" and receive this
http://www.alexa.com/topsites/category/Weblogs
I believe this last link might be the most useful to you
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/06/how-to-quickly-find-good-blogs-that.html
the question about RSS feeds and the number of subscribers is able to be answered using this tool however they must be using feed burner something I believe will not hurt you in your search to find out how many people have subscribed. As feed burner is by far the most popular RSS
http://thinktraffic.net/how-to-find-an-unpublished-rss-subscriber-count
I am sorry for the long list of links.
To give you the answer regarding subscribers and most popular post I would have to say that the most popular posts is
an Ehow article that I hope will help to better answer your question.
http://www.ehow.com/how_2009187_most-popular-blogs.html
If you would not mind elaborating more on exactly what it is you are looking to do I am certain I could be of more help. As far as trying to find the best solution for your question I hope I have done that however if I have not please let me know and I will do the best I can to answer it. If you can explain to me more fully what the end goal is I think I will be able to be of help to you.
Sincerely,
Thomas
Hi Craig
I'm talking about using a parameter for your location. But International search is this ever been excepted as okay Or non duplicate content by Google.
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/182192?hl=en#1
like using Example.com/DE/Example
Or
de.Example.com
I would say schema is going to be your most powerful weapon.
It's going to allow you to target all search engines including Google the really only important one and actually give you the ability to show the phone numbers and addresses in a more powerful format that Google will pick up on and should rank you locally.
I would also play around with PPC Would be my last resort I'm hundred percent inbound marketing but it might be a situation where you can find out how effective it is worth PPC is worth it at all.
It seems to me that the site should be able to show up in the local results as a universal. Would you mind private messaging me the URL?
If video is out of the question. Which I can completely understand where you're coming from with that. That's awesome that you got to send Phil at Mozacon those are always fantastic
You can use Maybe a blog split into three categories where you would have each store have unique events occur in the blog so new content dedicated to that each location.
That way you can put the phone numbers and addresses on the stores a lot of results. Inside the schema you also may want to register with things like the Better Business Bureau in three different locations. You could also set up the homepage is a decision essentially as to which one the user wants information about. For instance people must want hours, location for directions along with phone numbers and The user might appreciate the ability to call and find out if something is in stock or if you're posting if something is in stock.
If I may ask and I know this sounds strange but why is it that you feel your main location gets the higher amount of traffic? Was that because the first brick-and-mortar was around before the website was made Or where there always the three locations?
My phone battery is dying to mind if I get back to you in about 30 minutes I am finishing dinner and using my cell phone for this so I apologize if there are any errors.

Hi Craig,
I believe that what you're trying to accomplish is what's best for the end user and Google is okay with people using the technique you describe in your first question for international ranking with identical content. However I think I have a method that will get you where you want to be.
I know that bing in Yahoo account for probably very little of your search results less than 2% maybe however it never hurts to set up the site appease them as well. I did it on my own website and you can see the results of the generated tags it suggested in the link below.
http://www.myseolabs.org/?action=view_local_essentials&local_essentials_id=3083254&public=1
However why not use video schema is by far the most powerful tool for this and if you use it correctly and you incorporate video something that ranks for competitive keywords much more easily than a regular webpage without it I would bet you will being a much better place utilizing a tool called wistia for videos and Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo!
you can then keep track of your progress in a granular fashion using it to figure out exactly what your rank is down to the ZIP code

Exactly why YouTube will not be the best answer for a business

Go to Schema Creator Org this website to create your own schema you can install a WordPress plug-in as well or make the tags via this URL which (I have set the organization already.)
http://schema-creator.org/organization.php
than under organizations look for these drop-down and you will see local business
I would take a page and create a video for each one of the brick-and-mortar locations you can feature the products from the manufacturers you want to rank for via the videos and I believe that will allow you to rank organically very high in the cities of your choice once you of course are set up as I believe you are properly with Google places in every location where you have a brick-and-mortar as the rules are essentially you have to do face-to-face business there you can have it in more than one place of course.
For more guys on this I would like to see and I would e-mail Phil Nottingham from distilled.net he is probably the most Well respected authority on video search I believe he could shed quite a bit of light on this and it would be worth asking him what he would do if you were in your situation. He hopefully will chime in.
Sincerely,
Thomas
if you want very granular information like that I would at http://trendspro.builtwith.com/pro-features
they are able to give you the type of data I hope you're looking for. I also believe compete should give you options somewhat similar to that.
Sincerely,
Thomas
Hi Craig,
There our two more of the thing's that just came to mind. Obviously make sure that Google Webmaster tools has been told to use the country in this case the United States are targeting.
In addition to that I would strongly recommend using a content delivery network.
You want your users to have the same fast experience regardless of their location. Using a quality CDN like edge cast, Akamai, Level3 & net DNA are fantastic
you can get good prices and multiple CDN's using pressCDN
or even inexpensive CDN's like MaxCDN or rack space cloud files and cloud front will give you an edge when hosting one domain and looking to rank well in multiple states.
If you're looking for a method that will possibly help if you don't want to pay anything cloud flare is a decent product but make sure you check the speed before and after.
I would also implement anycast DNS this is crucial with a content delivery network. I personally feel DynECT is the best available however if it is more than you wish to pay I would use DNS made easy.
I would also use http://www.webpagetest.org/ to be certain the site is as fast as you want it to be under 2 seconds at least in the states you are targeting The Eastern Seaboard. If you click on bar that has Virginia as the default you can select many states and countries. However I feel this is very important as pops or points of presence are different for every CDN however by adding any of the CDN's you will most likely pick up a great deal of speed. I would also recommend a quality hosting company.
I hope this helps,
Thomas
I want to say that both Robert and Miriam have given outstanding answers. I really don't have much to add but one small thing I think you should be using https://getlisted.org/
I completely agree with
Robert the value of title tags, removal of essentially add-on categories like rel=canonical /product/ & schema markup as Robert stated is a huge asset that should be taken advantage of.
The only thing I can think of that would possibly help you more is using the getlisted.org part of Moz it is an extremely valuable resource for local listing and I would also make sure that your site is properly cited in all quality local directories such as the Yellow Pages.
Matching that with a locally optimized unique landing page as Miriam stated will help a lot as long as it also contains the local phone number and address properly implemented using schema will make a big difference if you successfully get your site listed in all the high-quality directories "e.g. super pages"
then the landing page will come up in the search engines. Make sure you put your site through this tool.
I hope I have been of help,
Thomas
Hi Mohammed,
First off let me say welcome to Moz!
The popular post URLs in Moz this is a list of blogs posts currently written and featured on the "Moz Blog" for instance a URL in that category can be something that has been written by either a Moz staff member, affiliate, whiteboard Friday (done by Rand mostly but sometimes by others) or YouMoz post ( YouMoz is a collection of members posting their own blogs to Moz if you have a very popular post it will be featured on YouMoz).
The way Moz knows what is popular or not is by using its outstanding analytics program here is a URL showing the amount of comments rather they were considered helpful by the community with a thumbs up or not helpful with the thumbs down Facebook shares, twitter shares & Google+ shares just to name a few of the things they track. This is a current blog that is considered popular here are the statistics that I believe are used to decide makes it the most popular
http://moz.com/blog/the-web-developers-seo-cheat-sheet-2013-edition/stats
If it has enough people responding with a thumbs-up meaning this is something useful along with the fact that Moz has a fantastic analytics program built into it allowing them to essentially see exactly how many people have read the post if it is very popular something most people here are interested in then it is placed in the most popular URLs
As far as the number of RSS data showing how many people are subscribed to the " Moz Top Ten News" this puts you on a newsletter where you will receive an e-mail getting the top 10 sources of inbound marketing information found on Moz sent to you monthly via e-mail
currently there are 218,432 subscribers shown to be taking advantage of this RSS feed/newsletter
I really hope you are enjoying all the wonderful tools and people here at Moz I know you will enjoy it.
I hope this has answered your question
Sincerely,
Thomas
