- I really read the above linked post differently than Google saying "just delete it."

Well, here is a video from Matt Cutts about thin content. In this particular video he's talking about websites, which already took hit for thin content, but in your case it's the same, since you're trying to prevent it

So, there are two options he is talking about: delete or make it better. From your previous responses I understand that making it better is not an option, so there is only one option left

As for link juice thorough those pages. If those pages have good amount of links, traffic and are quite popular on your website, then surely DON'T delete them, but rather make them better. However, I understood that those pages are not popular or have much traffic, so, option two

You misunderstand the meaning of that article.

"...that when you do block thin or bad content, Google prefers when you use the noindex over 404ing the page..."

They are talking about the walk around the problem of blocking pages INSTEAD of removing them.

So, if for whatever reason you don't want to delete a page and just put a 404 status on it, it's worse than putting noindex on it. Basically, what they're saying is:

• if you have thin content, DELETE it;
• if for whatever reason you don't want to delete it, put NOINDEX on it.

P.S. My suggestion still stays the same. Delete all bad content and, if you really want, put 410 gone status for that deleted content for Google to understand immediately that those pages are deleted forever, not inaccessible by mistake or something.

Of those pages, only about 10% really produce out of search. There are old sections of the site that are thin, obsolete, discontinued and/or noindexed that are still on the sitemap.

Have you considered removing those pages/sections, rather than altering the sitemap? It would make more sense I think.

I think people are forgetting that GMB and G+ is pretty much the same. As far as I understand, Google is actually moving from personal G+ to Business G+ and changing the name of the network. Are you sure that locale exists?

Honestly, I think there is no really an issue with what's happening on your website. It can be a bit awkward for users to see different urls from expected ones, but most "standard" users don't look at browser's address bar anyway.

P.S. No, don't redirect ?page=2 to POST request.

I assume you're tagging for local image search results? If so, just make sure that Google understands those geotags (i guess by googling your tagged images and seeing if they come up). If Google does read those geotags, then it wouldn't matter what program you use.

Yes, my #3 thought seems to be correct. Basically, there is ajax or js which intercepts request and does its work.

However, I think that for rankings you actually would want ?page=x to rank, because if js is disabled in browser, then post request url might not work, you won't be able to bookmark and, if you change backend filtering, it won't exist.

I see some issues:

1. you say you use rel=next and rel=prev. When I go  to provided url and look at the source code, i see only rel=next and ALL of them are linked to ?page=2. Definitely look into that.
2. when i hover over page numbers, it shows me url structure as ?page=x, not the post request, so, there might be some miscommunication in the code. At the same time, ?page=x are existent and not redirected to post request pages (I assume that's what you want to be happening). So that might be an issue as well.
3. It seems to me that what's happening is if i click on pagination button, i get to ?page=x, then internally from page the post request is being sent and it changes the displayed URL. If this is true, then ?page=x will be displayed in SERPs, because POST url change is happening after page is accessed.

Never had that happen to me, just checked my emails, received from linkedin, they are http. Whenever you're sending those emails, are you using full path? Like http://www.website.com/blabla.html? Or you doing website.com/blabla.html? Maybe that'll fix it.

The way to fix the problem is to know where it's coming from. When you are using browser's network tab, you can preserve log and see where 302s happening. Also you can see those pages in moz and other tools. I clicked around and found that it's happening in product categories and when you click on products. Obviously, since most of the website pages are product pages, you get 45%+ 302 redirects.

Now as how to fix it. Honestly, I'm not gonna be able to tell you, because I don't have your website's code. But find where those redirects are happening (by the way I don't even see any url changes, so maybe this is a problem as well), see how it's setup to work. It can be plugin errors or WP settings.

As for htaccess - I believe https rules should be before any other rules, all "R" should be R=301 and RewriteEngine on should be only one time.

It means that either the code (or file) was removed or your google account is not linked to that property. Just verify it again, if code is there, you won't have to do anything, but click "verify" button.

NOINDEX !== no crawling.  and surely it doesn't equal NOFOLLOW. what you probably should be looking at is canonical links.

My understanding is (and i can be completely wrong) that when you get hit by Panda for duplicate content and then try to recover, Google checks your website for the same duplicate content - it's still crawlable, all the links are still "followable", it's still scraped content, you aren't telling crawlers that you took it from somewhere else (by canonicalizing), it's just not displayed in SERPs. And yes, 80% of content being noindex probably doesn't help either.

So, I think that what you need to do is either remove that duplicate content whatsoever, or use canonical links to originals or (bad idea, but would work) block all those links in robots.txt (at least this way those pages will become uncrawlable whatsoever). All this still is unreputable techniques though, kinda like polishing the dirt.

New view wouldn't help anyhow, because it's tied to the same tracking code. My guess is that either users are getting to those pages through bookmarks or browser history, or those links were indexed somehow and now you're getting hit by bots and crawlers.

Go to campaigns, see what source/medium those sessions are coming from, also check how long those sessions are and the bounce rate. Make sure that there is the only title and the only meta on each page, also check for other technical errors. If there are none and metas you're talking about is in the source code, do a "fetch as google" from Google webmaster tools. Then wait couple days. It always takes time to update snippets in search results.

If ALL metas are not showing up even then, it means that there is a tech errors somewhere. If some of them showing up, but not others - Google reserves the right to not use provided titles or meta descriptions. Meaning that your meta descriptions are not related enough  to what is on the page.

I doubt you gonna get good answer here. MOZ q/a community consists mostly of people working in SEO firms, most of us are not users, but users come to us. So, your best bet, probably, would be looking at review aggregators, review websites etc. Also you can contact clients from the firm's portfolio and ask their opinion about services they're getting. Of course, portfolio consists of the best cases, so, I doubt you'd find negative reviews there.

I'll try to help as much as I can, but this new GMT/GA policies are very confusing to me.

So, to start, as far as I know, Google stopped providing organic search keywords recently due to security reasons etc. I can't find any recent articles about this, so may be other MOZers can leave a link. That's why there is so much of (not provided) keywords.

Also, as far as I understand, GMT provides much accurate (and actually more than GA) data. So, I'd trust GMT rather that GA. I know that you can connect them and all, but from my experience, GMT shows more.

I know it doesn't really answer your questions, but i hope it can at least lead you in direction you can dig more.

Oh boy, I'm glad you said you need "clarification" First off, funnels are created for deeper analysis for specific(!) steps of goal flow, not every possible variation. Alright, so:

1. Does this mean every page on my site is considered a "step" leading the user to the contact form? It would be if that was the page, which user was before completing the form If so, do I list each page containing the form link in the steps, or only form.html? You sure can, but it will just pollute your reports, and will create trouble reading your results, because you'd have to create dozens, if not hundreds of funnels.
2. In Google Analytics, Conversions -> Goals -> Reverse Goal Path. Choose the goal, voila!
3. brain explosion Surely very unusual setup. I'd recommend not to use IFrames whatsoever. And yes, with iframes tracking and analytics will be very hard, if possible. Because, as you said, iframe is a part of different website, which can have no Google analytics at all, or it can be inaccessible by you. But there would be no way to connect two of GAs anyway. Looks like very painful setup to me
4. The way i have it setup for us and our clients - I use either different goals (which is not the best way), or use custom campaign tracking - URL builder for Google analytics. This way you'd be able to look at header and footer completed goals separately, under Acquisitions -> Campaigns.

I usually include suite number, since it's a part of address. Basically, I'm matching the address line on Google My Business and website. Meaning if you have address in one line on GMB, include it in schema and if you have it in one line, don't include it in schema.

My personal opinion is that if you are located in office building with bunch of suites, Google can't understand that you're in suite #such-and-such, unless you specify. Also from user perspective, you always tell your clients "my address is house number H, street A, suite B", not "house number H, street A and one of the suites in that building. You'll find it, don't worry"

Well, first, even though backlinks are awesome, not always it's a requirement to be ranking and become popular. As you mentioned, social media is your huge friend, especially in realty industry.

At the same time, even though "usual" people don't have website, there are other websites like ask.com, quora.com etc which everybody can use and give you backlink. Also there are other forums, which accommodate any user etc.

Of course it can! The crawl rate is in pages per day, so if you remove pages (especially 1.5 million), there won't be as much to crawl

Also it can happen, if you have the same static pages and the crawl bot has crawled them all. Google doesn't crawl all pages all the time, they have limited resources. So, if you have launched or updated website recently and now not really updating it, you can see the change in crawl rate.

Well, I just noticed that website is in flash! I believe non of crawl bots are able to crawl flash websites.

It seems that if I try to access redken.com it redirects me to flash version (/international).

Actually, now I can't recreate that. Super weird. Is there something "special" going on with automatic redirects? Look into that.

So, the "Booking-Flights" is destination goal. Therefore you can set up a funnel to see how many people are going through index page first. Google for videos or guides on how to setup funnels - there are tons of them.

What I meant was how is it setup technically. What's the type of a goal? how exactly it works?
