I've seen a lot of websites that do similar things and rank high on SERP's...

Sometimes this can be explained in some part by a good backlink profile, old domain / website, high amount of content (if the content is relatively original and varied), or because the niche is more receptive to this type of content (when it's something relatively common on your niche)... and other times simply makes no sense why things like this are working in Google for years without getting automatically or manual penalyzed.

Iv'e seen webs with so big keyword stuffing repeating a keyword about 500 times in the homepage, and being ranked in the top of Google for that keyword without seeing nothing internal or external of that website appart of this that can explain that awesome ranking. It's so frustrating knowing that this is penalized by Google and some of your competitors are doing it with impunity while you can't or at least you shouldn't...

• OPTION 1) Avoid identical content on affiliate sites and demand affiliate sites to write their own original content.
• OPTION 2) Demand affiliate sites to canonicalize their urls with duplicated content to your urls.

Many people use a product ID in the link because many CMS automatically create this ID in the url, and if you don't install a plugin for friendly urls, this ID will be there.

There is no advantage for ranking better with product or categories ID. In my opinion it doesn't matter if you have an ID if the rest of the url is friendly, but some people think that urls without ID are better, so I recommend you to don't have a product ID in your urls.

What you can do about this is ask your clients for reviews if they are satisfied with your service or product, you can also offer an incentive so that more customers are encouraged to leave a review.

If you can't get reviews this way, I suggest the possibility of buying reviews, but be careful with this it can be risky. If you want to do it, do it natural, buy from real people with reputation on Google that live near your business.

I personally never use Disavow Links Tool. I manually delete links or simply create new ones to reduce to percentaje of "spammy links" or the percentaje of links that have the same anchor...

But if I had to say a spam rating where I would use the disavow links tool, it probably would be higher than 60-80%, depending on my personal opinion of how spammy I see the website. If I see it very spammy, higher than 60%, if a don't see it very spammy, higher than 80%.

Matt Cutts explained this around 2015:

When you are disavowing links, you can know that a link in your disavow file is considered disavowed once you see that Google has cached the page where the link resides. But when it comes to reavowing, we have no way of knowing when Google is going to start counting that link again or whether it will be given the same weight.

Reavowing a link can “take a lot longer than disavowing it,” though no one knows how long that is. Google wants to be really certain that spammers are not going to try to figure out which links are helping or hurting them by doing disavow and reavow experiments.

I'm not aware of a problem like the one you describe, but I personally never trusted much backlinks shown in Google Webmaster Tools, I preferr tools like:

Ahrefs > https://ahrefs.com/

I recommend you to try them.

it's a difficult question. I have used this technique 2 times (redirect a broken link on a .gov site to my site) and in my experience it did not work very well, didn't see improvements on rankings, but I'm not really sure about if it can work in some situations.

Probably, if the link was broken for a short period and you redirect it soon, it will be much better that if it has been a long time broken. If it's broken and you inmediately redirect it would be the perfect situation, each day from that I think it will give less link juice.

Just my opinion.

In any case, you don't have anything to lose by doing the redirect to your deeper directory, try it.

I usually use nofollow for links that point to pages like "Privacy policy" or "Legal advice", and noindex in those pages.

I don't do it for authority, I do it for duplicated content, this pages a lot of times have very similar content to the same pages in other sites.

Yes, like Tawny said, it can take some weeks even months to reindex specially if your site doesn't change a lot along time.

I agree with Gaston about the losing some authority with a redirect.

Also add that if you redirect page A to B and B to C, all the authority will go to page C with the loss of the first, and the second redirect by the way. B won't retain any authority because it won't exist anymore.
