Unfortunately, other than making sure you're not blocking AWS and that Rogerbot is allowed, I'm not sure what else you can do. Have you checked over your server logs with your web developer to see if you can find any additional information as to why your server responded with a 500 error when we tried to crawl your site?

Hm... that's a tricky question. I would err on the side of caution — if those brand names are present in images or content on those pages, then adding in those brand names as keywords on the page should be okay. If, on the other hand, you're just being prompted to add brand names for products that don't appear in the content, I would avoid using that brand name, as it could be considered bad practice.

Hm... this is more of an SEO question than product support, but I did some digging for ya! It sounds like it typically takes anywhere from a few days to a month or more for old pages that are 301 redirected to be recognized as such and stop being indexed. I took a look at your Site Crawl results and your site, and I believe this is a result of our crawler's inability to work with Javascript. If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this. There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools, but there are some good blog posts and discussions in the Q&A about this if you head over to our Help Hub.
While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine.
You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog.

Thanks for writing in! I'm afraid there's no way to pause a subscription at the moment. That said, the best option we have right now is for you to go ahead and cancel your subscription — you can do this from https://moz.com/subscriptions
In fact, cancellation works a lot like pausing — we archive all your Campaigns so they'll stay safe and sound while you're away. We don't continue to gather new data while your Campaigns are archived, but we keep all your historical data for around 12 update cycles. For weekly updates, that'd be 12 weeks and 12 months for monthly updates. A couple notable exceptions would be for rankings and link histories, which we'll keep forever!
Then, if and when you decide to give Moz Pro another shot, it's easy to unarchive those Campaigns and start gathering data for them again. At that point, you'd just head back to the "Manage Campaigns" screen, choose "Archived Campaigns" from the dropdown at the left, and you'll be just a few clicks away from getting up and running again!

I'm really sorry to hear that Rank Tracker going away is going to hit you so hard. I know that Campaign tracking isn't an ideal solution for ad hoc rank checking, but you can also use Keyword Explorer to see the first 10 SERP positions for any keyword (it's a live SERP report, so it fluctuates in real time).
I wish we had a better solution for those ad hoc searches you're describing.

You can still use a Moz Pro Campaign to track keyword rankings over time — you'll just need to set up a Campaign to track the site whose rankings you'd like to see. You can also use Keyword Explorer to find out what keywords that site is already ranking for!

Moz Local is a real-time service that instantly distributes your business listing data to both data aggregators and online directories. Each of our distribution partners has their own approach for processing new and updated listings on their platform. As part of our active listing management process, we continuously verify the accuracy of each listing down to the Name, Address, Phone Number and URL across our entire partner network. We don't consider your listing to be completely accurate until a customer would find it that way.
For most partners, new data is published within 4-5 days, and the majority becomes fully accurate within a few weeks. Given how closely we track accuracy, we have seen instances where some listings have taken as much as 8-12 weeks to become fully accurate. If you're noticing an unusual delay, please let us know at help@moz.com so we can take a look at your account and see if there is anything causing the delay.
If you claim a listing on a third-party site that isn't one of our direct partners, it's up to their system to determine how long it will take for your business information to become accurate there. You'll need to work with that third-party site directly.

Unfortunately, there's no way to compare what you see on the Dashboard for a Campaign to months past — the only options we have are Weekly and Monthly data, with the latest week or month respectively. If you wanted to compare what you see on the Dashboard over time, you would need to set up a Custom Report with the Dashboard module in it, and set that to run either every week or every month. That way you'll have a record of what those metrics said in the past, and you can compare two Custom Reports together to see change over time.

Unfortunately, there's no way to transfer settings between Campaigns. The only workaround is to set up a fresh Campaign with all the same settings manually — there's no way to do this automatically. Sorry about that!

Ok — I think I can help here. Our tool has a 90% tolerance for duplicate content, which means it will flag any content that has 90% of the same code between pages. This includes all the source code on the page and not just the viewable text, so often it's a matter of finding the best answer for the duplicate pages in question. I used a third-party similarity checker, so it's not just our tools seeing this similarity. You can check it out for yourself here: http://www.webconfs.com/seo-tools/similar-page-checker/
For solutions, it depends on the site. Often with ecommerce sites, product pages will come up with duplicate content between two colors of the same item, and in that case it's good to use the canonical tag: https://moz.com/learn/seo/canonicalization. If there are two versions of the page that exist - for instance, example.com/subfolder and www.example.com/subfolder - you can put in 301 redirects to the correct page: https://moz.com/learn/seo/redirection. If it's just two pages on different subjects but with thin content, filling out that content with an extra paragraph or two can help.

Thanks so much for reaching out! I’m so glad to hear you’re exploring the new Link Explorer tool!
The way we index the web for Link Explorer is a bit different than the way we index for Open Site Explorer. With OSE, the index updates only about once a month whereas new data is added to Link Explorer every day. The index for Link Explorer is a different index than the Mozscape index used for OSE and includes a lot more data — we’re seeing more of the web with the new index which is helping to provide more accurate data on which to base these metrics.
In addition, the algorithm we use to calculate DA has been updated with this new index to better correlate with Google’s actual ranking standards so we can provide a more accurate representation of a site’s potential ability to rank.
We definitely recommend using the new Link Explorer tool as we do consider it to be much more accurate.

Looks like you're using our Crawl Test tool — that tool still runs on our old crawler, which isn't able to handle SNI settings, which it looks like this site employs: https://www.screencast.com/t/tgPYeydJk2L
Unfortunately, that's just a technical limitation of our old crawler, and there isn't really much we can do to work around it. Your best bet would be to start a Moz Pro Campaign for this site, as our new crawler can handle SNI with no trouble.

Unfortunately, no, Keyword Explorer can't output entire sentences instead of keywords. You can use it to check for keyword metrics or to see what keywords a site already ranks for, but there's no way to use the tool to optimize for sentences.
You may be thinking of our Page Optimization tool, but we don't have anything that is specific to the Knowledge Graph (OG) element. Sorry about that!

You're not crazy, but that video is showing you adding three separate locations to track that keyword by, not combining ZIP codes into one location. You can certainly track a single keyword by more than one location and see results for different locales that way! There's just no way to combine locales and track by a broader region.
Unfortunately there's no way to combine ZIP codes to track larger regions — sorry about that!
You could set up Campaigns to track geographical regions, but you'll probably run up against your keyword limit pretty quickly, since you'll need to track all those locations individually, and each location will count as one use of a keyword.
Our regions are defined by Google, so unfortunately we're limited to the locations they provide to us. That can make tracking keywords by the regions you're interested tricky, particularly if they're broad regions like Western Massachusetts rather than an individual city or neighborhood.

Sorry for any confusion! Our locales are actually not as broad as ZIP codes, though ZIP codes are partially how they're defined.
The locales are tracked as a defined region with borders established by Google. It's hard to say exactly how Google is defining these areas, but it is likely related to ZIP codes and IP addresses.
I found this article while I was researching — it doesn't have exact answers to this question either, but had some valuable insight into Google's local search results: http://searchengineland.com/everything-need-know-pigeon-algorithm-211771. Section 7 of this resource would be the most relevant to how those locations are defined.
I'm afraid you would need to add smaller, individual locations to be able to track locally for those keywords.

Because of the way we index the web, we might be seeing more or fewer links going to the www version of the site you're checking than we're seeing going to the root domain. The two versions of the page can definitely have different Page Authority, and different Spam Scores.
We'd recommend taking a look at both versions of the URL to see which has more spam signals headed toward it.

Related topics in Page Optimization are collected by an algorithm that's really similar to how we scan and look for closely related topics in Keyword Explorer. The primary difference is that Content Suggestions in Page Optimization are based on topics that the top ranking pages are also discussing, while the Keyword Suggestions in Keyword Explorer are simply there to give you some ideas for further keyword research and optimization, so the data is packaged differently.

This is definitely due to the way we collect this information for our link index and it is actually expected that we won’t find every page and link because we aren’t looking for them all! When we collect this data, we’re looking specifically for the most valuable links and, rather than crawling your entire site or every site, we collect this by starting our crawler on a few highest ranking sites and letting it perform a breadth first search to see what it finds.
For each page that we crawl, we first collect each of it’s links before following these and collecting the details of each page that these link to and so on. There’s a set limit of links that we’ll crawl per page and pages that we’ll crawl per site so it’s expected that we may not follow every link on your site this way.
Generally, we recommend using a wide variety of backlink tools to get the most illustrative picture of how your site's backlink profile looks. OSE and Ahrefs index differently and have different purposes. Ahrefs is good for quantity while OSE is great for finding higher quality links. Domain Authority is our own proprietary metric that is closely correlated to Google rankings, so our customers often use OSE to research influential sites to build links.

Looks like the "weather" lately has been pretty stormy, so lots of changes are taking place.

If the reauthorization worked, you should see a success banner. You may need to refresh a couple of times in order to see the correct profiles and successfully reconnect.
That's one of the most common reasons for losing connection to a GA profile, yes. Those tokens expire or are revoked, and as a result we lose access.

So, when a Moz Pro Campaign is connected to Google Analytics during creation, Google allows us to backfill data for 12 data cycles (i.e. 12 days, 12 weeks, and 12 months.) However, if GA is connected after the Campaign is already running, they will only allow us to collect data going forward from the date of the connection.
I'm afraid the only way to see the historical traffic data in a Campaign for this site would be to create a new Campaign and to connect to your GA profile during the set-up process. Unfortunately, we aren't able to transfer data for the other Campaign sections from the Campaign that you currently have running for the site, so the new Campaign would not include the data you have already been tracking historically for the rest of the Campaign.
