Could another site copying my content hurt my ranking?
Earlier this week I asked why a page of mine might not be ranking locally. (https://moz.com/community/q/what-could-be-stopping-us-from-ranking-locally). Maybe this might be part of the answer – another firm has copied huge chunks of my website copy:

Could this be causing my page to not rank? And is there anything I can do about it, other than huff and puff to the other firm? (Which I am already doing.)

Ha! Yes I encountered your article in my research, and it was the major source of my assumptions. It's good to touch base with the author and hear that the conclusions are still relevant. I will keep listing my business as an SAB on GMB (since we're using WeWork as just a meeting place) and try to be more consistent about address in other online sources.

Thanks, Miriam. We had been full-time at the 34th street office, but now we are taking meetings at a WeWork in midtown, while working most of the time remotely. My research seems to indicate that Google would prefer to list us as a SAB now, since we don't have hours at the WeWork address (and that WeWork address isn't available as a Google Listing anyway, since they already occupy it.) I had also heard that being an SAB (i.e., not showing an address on Google My Business) is not a disadvantage in SEO. Could you corroborate (or disagree with) my assumptions?

What could be stopping us from ranking locally?
We do most of our business in national SEO and we do reasonably well, but we are entering a niche where search engine results are served locally. This is the page we are trying to get ranked:

- The page has been indexed
- We beat all the rankers in Domain Authority
- We're competitive in terms of reviews
- We're strongly competitive in terms of load time
- We are a SAB, but other SABs seem to rank, and even companies with no GMB listing rank
- We have mentioned our locality on the page and meta title
It's not that we are not ranking well... we're not even in the top 50. Is there something I've done wrong, or forgotten to do? What might be stopping Google from ranking us locally?

Trailing forward dash question
This might be a very newbie technical SEO question, but here goes.This page, with no trailing forward slash:idearocketanimation.com/whiteboard-animation-oHas a Moz page authority of 45 while this page:
idearocketanimation.com/whiteboard-animation-o/Has a Moz page authority of 1. Right now, the former is forwarding to the latter. Might Google not see the links I've built up to it, like Moz isn't? Can this be fixed in WordPress?I appreciate your responses. -

It might be more than double. Just to give you an example of one of my keywords, "Whiteboard animation"
Some are searching for it to learn how to actually make a whiteboard animation. Some are searching for it because they want to hire a company to make whiteboard animation. Some are searching for it because they want to see whiteboard animation videos, either for the sake of entertainment or to get inspiration to make a video of their own. Really, there could be many intents.
I will certainly make sure that one page is linked to the other, thanks.

Should I target two pages for the same keyword, but two different intents?
When people type in a certain keywords in my industry space (animated video), they usually have one of two intents: some want to see videos (for inspiration or entertainment or whatever) and some want to hire a company.
We have pages that meet each intent. Some "Best of..." blog posts for the crowd that want to see videos (that might be top-of-the-funnel prospects, potentially) and a landing page for the buying-intent people.
I'm seeing each ranking page as essentially two, kept in proper balance to meet search intent by click-throughs. So I'm betting that my landing page won't cannibalize the "best of..." page. Is that the right way to see it, or not?

Does posting frequency matter?
Right now my company is blogging five days a week, which is way more than our competitors and most other companies do. Back last September, we dropped our blogging frequency to once a week or so, and our organic conversions dropped. I had ascribed that to the drop in our blogging frequency, but now I have my doubts: maybe it was a rise in competition, or part of a larger drop that has been going for over a year and a half.
My question to you is: what has been your experience when your posting frequency (or your clients' posting frequency) has dropped? Have you seen a drop in rankings, or have you held fast?
