I am new to SEO. Would appreciate anyone share with me how can i further optimize my website to attract more visitors based on this scenario?

Hi all,
Thanks and really appreciate for your time helping me out here, and i am very new to SEO.
Just a brief introduction, our team have been developing a gaming review website (specifically targeting MMO game, facebook game, and browser-based game) since September 2011, and the website show significant improvement for the 1st month, and we got daily UV spiking up to 2k in November.
The issue here is that the visitors start to become very stagnant, and even dropping now. Even though we try hard to publish more game reviews and there is NO IMPROVEMENT AT ALL for past 2 months in terms of number of visitors, and we have no idea how should we further proceed to attract more visitors...We have about 7 k site pages (however not all are with content). For the past 2 months it seems like there is nothing going on that proportionate to the effort we put in. Pretty discouraging, so we decided to sign up SEOMOZ to get SEO help from the community here.
Some general questions we have:
1. Is it because of the the quality of the content we write ? (not enough keyword density, review too short, etc).
2. Is it because of the website designed not user friendly and not optimized?
3. Is it because of the general gaming trend, or other competitors?
4. Are we penalized by google by any chance? Are we spamming or anything wrong that deter our improvement?
5. Our main revenue source is on advertising, and currently we are using adsense. Would the ads placement affect anything?
6. Based on your knowledge and expertise, any advice would you give us?
Would appreciate if you can take a kind look at the website to understand the scenario better: www.gameonline2.com, with 3 subdomain of: wiki.gameonline2; gameplay.gameonline2; cheats.gameonline2.
For your reference, example our competitors are: www.onrpg.com; www.bbgsite.com; www.mmohut.com
I would be happy to share with you any further information including google analytics if needed. I have report generated from SEOMOZ but i would appreciate the pros to help me take a look to give me a more complete ideas of how can i further improve to gain at least 10k visitors per day.
Thanks again for your kind help and time.

We have about 7 k site pages (however not all are with content).
The advice that I believe that you most need to hear....... dump the pages that have no content. Do not publish a page until you have substantive, original content.
....we try hard to publish more game reviews...
Where are these coming from? Are they grabbed from other websites? Are they spun from other websites? Are you writing them yourself?
Your content targets the English language speaker but some native speakers of that language might not understand your message because there are many grammar, word selection and punctuation errors.
5. Our main revenue source is on advertising, and currently we are using adsense. Would the ads placement affect anything?
Google currently does not like sites that slap the visitors face with advertising and that have more ads than content in the first view of a page. The pages that I visited had three big ads in my face and the content was a trivial, below the fold and not worth a visit to the page.
...we have no idea how should we further proceed to attract more visitors...
I believe that you must get more concerned about the visitors who are visiting your site rather than concerned about how to attract more.
What can you do that will make visitors...
...bookmark your site?
....email the URL to a friend?
.... visit again tomorrow?
.... share on facebook?
If you can do these things you will have repeat visitors and they will promote your site for you.
I would put huge effort into pleasing visitors.

Google Analytics SEO Queries Not Showing
Hi All, This might be a silly question, but for all the properties I monitor in Google Analytics, I'm now showing no data for SEO Queries under Acquisition for the past 6 days. Normally I would expect a few day delay in queries, but nothing for 6 days is somewhat peculiar especially as it was functioning fine prior to November 12th. Does anyone have insight into what might be going on? Thanks! URaNMa3

Google SERP showing a URL with UTM_source attached - why? Can I stop it?
I just found a Google search results page showing a URL with a UTM source tag attached. Any idea how or why this has happened? How can I stop it as I'm guessing this is overwriting my organic visits with referrals from this site. See attached photo for pic of SERP page. The link is going here: http://employment.govt.nz/er/holidaysandleave/parentalleave/?utm_source=newzealandnow.govt.nz 5vxTDTi.png

Analytics options for website builder
I'm working on a website builder with a few friends and we would like to track traffic statistics for each site built on our platform. We're looking for a solution to dynamically generate analytics for each site published on our platform. I've used Google Analytics for a number of years, but I'm not sure if it's capable of doing something like what we're looking for. Any chance someone could throw me a bone? Thank you in advance!

Moved score to A and ranking was on google first page but now it's dropped considerably last 2 months as the bounce rate has gone through the roof. I'm at my wits end and don't want the higher ups on me for the drop. I'm not sure what to try next.

If I change the URL of a page, but the old page canonicalizes to the new, do I need to change my Analytics goals to get data?
I changed the URLs of some pages recently (because the same thing that affects the internal anchor text also affects the URL - grr...) but considered it not a big deal because even if I looked at the source code of the old URL, the canonical tag was now pointing to the new one. The question is - if I had URL destination goals set up for those URLs in Google Anlaytics, do I now have to change them? Or does Google somehow know that anyone getting to the new URL is the equivalent of someone getting to the old URL because of the canonical tag that exists on the old URL source code? I still do see goal conversions for some of the old URLs even since I changed them - but it could be that people are still somehow finding the old URL somewhere - or that Google only reindexed it a week or so after I made the change. Any light to shed? Thanks in advance, Aviva B

Help with local SEO strategy for service industries
Here is the scenario I often wonder about: My client's tree removal service is ranking in #1 in local search for
Reporting & Analytics | | MozMan2
"tree removal town state." His Google Places account is set for a 30 mile radius. He has lots of directory listings and positive reviews. Some inbound links as well. The same client is ranking #1 in organic listing for "tree removal county state" ...I chose to target the county for organic listings because the client was dominating local search for the town. My reasoning: I thought, Google local search would bring all of the local specific searches for "tree removal town state" and organic listings would bring the broader searches for "tree removal county state." That is exactly what's happening and stats show there are some visitors coming to the site searching with the county name. Not a ton of traffic but a lot of keyword variations using the county name. The bulk of the traffic comes from the his Google Places listing for the town the business is located in which is great. Dilemma: My client is not ranking in local search results for neighboring towns just a few miles away and certainly not ranking in organic listings for neighboring towns either because we are targeting the county. He has a long list of town names he services in the footer area and this does seem to help for organic search in neighboring towns with little competition. Broad Question: How can I optimize pages for the same services in neighboring towns without duplicating content. For example, the home page title tag and H1 reads:
Tree Removal, Tree Trimming, Stump Removal, County State It would be very easy to create identical pages with title tags and page headings for the different towns but that would undoubtedly create duplicate content and would look weird to someone browsing the site. Specific Questions: Should I put the town name where the business is located in the title tag even though the site already ranks #1 for that town in local search, without having the town in the title tag? Why not use this importunity for an area that we are not ranking for? Do I nix the county and state and try to insert another town or two in the title and H1? Ideally I would like to have this site rank well in local search for all of the neighboring towns. This may be too broad of a post, (it is my first one) but perhaps there are a few of you out there that can outline strategies that work for service industries like, lawn care, tree removal, landscaping, etc. Thanks for reading.0
