HTML E-mail Preventing Link Request?

Hi there,
The last couple of months we have had quite a few link request e-mails apparently not being received.
Our e-mails are sent out through Mozilla Thunderbird, so not an e-mail platform. However we use a HTML template to ensure our business logo and footers are consistent and to help raise awareness of the brand.
Is there any chance that some e-mails may well be blocked (e.g. by filters) because we're using HTML e-mails rather than a standard e-mail format and does anyone have any advice for ensuring e-mails get through (other than getting the right contact name if possible).

Thanks, I will check it out. I only understand basic German so I will see if the site translates into English. But we need to be aware of a few options.

Hi Martin, yes u are right its no sew easy
Since about 6 month we are using a Link managing Tool that also provides a Mail-Ticket System inside - since that time we don't have this problem any more.
The Software is Calley http://www.linkbird.de/ (I think its also available in english)

We are just using a .png - how do you avoid keyword blocking though? It's not like you can instantaneously avoid the word 'link' or providing a URL somewhere in the e-mail. How do you get round it?

yes i think so - sometimes we have the same problem.It can also be a .gif image ore some words in your post causing that.

Guest blogging, guest blogging, guest blogging. Since I started my career as a "brand manager" I've heard the term "guest blogging" at least a million times. So I've put a fair amount of energy into it and for a long time it worked beautifully, still is in many ways. However, in the last month or two nearly every blog I have contacted about guest blogging has said that "due to an increase in guest blogging request we are now charging a fee of x" so on and so forth. How might Google differentiate between an artificial link exchange and partners linking to each other?
Hi, All! Artificial link exchanges (contacting a vaguely connected site and requesting to exchange links to increase your PR) is, as far as I know, considered an outdated, not-so-smart technique, as Google might devalue them. Yet, for real business partners to exchange links seems to be an entirely accepted and encouraged technique. While that would be intuitive to a human who's viewing the pages. how might Google detect when two sites that link to each other are linking because they are trusted business associates (valuable) as opposed to when they are doing a link exchange (devalued)? Links from .edu sites
I have a band website and was thinking of making some link bait pages specifically designed to get links from high page rank music colleges and then funnel that page rank to my landing pages on my band site. I am planning on finding out what these colleges link to and create great information on pages on my site that the high page rank college websites will link to thereby boosting my trust and authority. How much will the trust and authority boost my site in the search engines? Because the colleges will be music colleges they should be relevant to my band site. Does this sound like a good strategy?
