My website is miamiprintingfl.com and part of my listing, photo, some reviews and etc, belongs to another listing miami-printing.net that last domain is not working at all.
Is there anyway to solve this problem?
Thank you

Thank you Rafael. That's kind of you and good luck! If you do end up having to start a Google Places Help Forum thread, I'd title it:
"Customers Getting Lost Going To Old Address"
I think that just might get personal attention from the forum's top contributors.
Buena suerte!
Miriam

Miriam, you are the best!!!!
I appreciate your help on this local and organic, I hope Google will solve this issue soon because new clients are getting lost with the old address on organic and wrong phone number on places. OMG!!!
Thank you

Hi Rafael,
I'm sorry to see from this thread and from the other one that you are having so many problems with your business right now. What a headache for you!
When you say you 'fill that out' do you mean you filled out a form in the 'report a problem' process or did you actually open a thread on the Google Places Help Forum asking for help? Normally, opening a thread on the forum does not result in an email to you, so I believe you are probably referencing the 'Report A Problem' process and not the forum.
As things stand right now, you have let them know of this issue and they are asking you to hang on while they review and respond to the situation. If you do not see resolution in about 6 weeks on this, then open a thread in the Google Places Help Forum. Here is the link:
http://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!forum/maps
In this thread, you need to describe the situation and that you went through the 'Report A Problem Process' six weeks ago and that you did not receive an email from Google after the first one and that the situation isn't resolved.
Hopefully, though, Google will resolve it before then. Good luck!
Miriam

Hello again Miriam,
On Google Places Help Forum they only ask me a few questions about the wrong number and good number, I fill that out, and I get this e-mail:
Thank you for contacting Google. We may follow up if we need further
information. Otherwise, we appreciate your patience while our team reviews
and responds to inquiries in the order they are received.Once our investigation is complete, we'll reply with actions we've taken
and instructions for next steps.Regards,
The Google TeamI did it OK or there is another place to do it?
Thanks
-
Rafael,
I think your question is worth opening a thread on in the Google Places Help Forum. It sounds like you are dealing with significant merging.

I receive a similar e-mail too, they remove the other listing from places because that business was closed and I can only see my listing. But still mixed, I uploaded like 4 pictures but still showing the old picture from the other company, now also it's showing their phone number in my listing so when customers call get to a disconnected phone number, that's crazy!!!

Rafael,
I just received this from Google:
From: Google Mapsnoreply-local-issues@google.com/noreply-local-issues@google.com
Subject: Google Maps Problem Report - Action taken

Hi Robert Fisher,
Thanks again for sharing your local expertise with other Google users! Based on your edit, we've removed Miami Printing from Google Maps.
Thanks for your help,
The Google Maps team

Typically, 4 to 6 weeks. If you do not get results within 6 weeks, you can go to the support forums and report your issue there. I think, given what I have seen in the last 3 or 4 months, that it will resolve though.
Another thing is I would go into your places and post more photos, etc. Beyond that, it looked fine. Categories were good.
Let us know in 6 weeks.
Best

Robert, thank you I just do what you told me, how long you think google will respond back?
Thank you

Rafael,
Here is how you fix it:
First go to edit this listing. Near the bottom right it says Report a Problem. When you do a list of possible issues pops up. Mark the one as not existing or as permanently closed. Then describe the issue. (Do not overdo it here). Just be basic. Mark that you would like to be contacted via email and if you are logged in Google will send an email at some point to that address.
We edit quite a bit in Map Maker, etc. so we will likely be heard. So, I went ahead and did this one as well. Go ahead and do it yourself but please keep it simple. That is important.
Hope it helps,

Hello, yes I registered and verified my google place at that location, I got an office there. I used to have a toll free number and I change it for this local number to see if I can rank better.
The reviews you see on my listing are from the competitor listing that get mixed with mine, also the photo showing is also from the other listing. On my back end of my google places I see a different picture and now reviews. And no data at all regarding visits, impressions or etc.
-
Thank you for the quick response, the picture you see on my listing it's from the other competitor listing, also the reviews. On my google place I see a different photo that I uploaded. I'm going to try what you suggest about reporting the photo. Thank you

I've had some testy exchanges with our Google AdWords rep over a similar situation involving two hotels with similar names bleeding into each other's mixed local/organic SERPs. Turns out there was a directory listing of one hotel at the other's address that was then syndicated and picked up by many other directory sites: the issue resolved itself within a few weeks of contacting the syndicate.
That said, I'm not sure your issue is totally technical. Do you own the rights to the name "Miami Printing" at that address? Do you have a physical storefront there? You've phrased your question in terms of KW's but Google Places verifies and ranks listings mostly on consistency of business info (phone number, address, & website) across multiple sources including—but definitely not limited to—YP.com, Yelp, Bing, Facebook, Yahoo, etc. Also keep in mind that your "rank" relative to others' in local search is highly volatile and depends on a lot of IP-based factors.
It also sounds like you're talking about receiving reviews and photos intended for the other location. You're likely to continue to run into that problem so long as another business in your area shares your name: Google has no way to verify that its users are reviewing or posting photos of the correct location.

Hi,
This happens when you have a business which is very close to your business or when an old business is in the location or when you do a bulk upload and the listing is merged. I recently did a job where we had over 700 locations for one client, several business locations had images from other stores which were old or next door. What you can do is upload your own photos for the location (hard when you have 700+ locations) or you can click on:"Report inappropriate photo"' Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
James Norquay.

Link building to Google+ profile: any local SEO value?
Has anyone found value in building links to Google+ profile for local seo rankings? My gut tells me that it will, but I am not 100% sure. If it does, then does that mean that all the traditional SEO factors that would go into ranking a site organically also work for ranking locally for certain keywords? So far, I have found that the best thing for moving up rankings is reviews on Google+, but then does that make local SEO (from a high view point) just a race for high reviews and building the most citation? I am feeling like the differentiator for local SEO is UN-structured citations and links to Google+ profiles. Any thoughts? See you at MozCon!

Ranking Differences for Google+ Local vs. Places Listings
I'm seeing some odd behavior with Google+ Local and Google Places listings for clients. I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing it... Here's the situation: We've recently bought on 4 new clients that all have duplicate listing issues, and, weirdly, all have both places and a Google+ local created listings. For three of those four, the Google+ local listing is outranking the Places account for a brand name search (e.g. Dr. John Doe). Weirdly, in one instance, the Google+ local account that is outranking the Places page is named in a less accurate fashion. e.g searching for "Dr. John Doe" the rankings look like this... A) John Doe Plastic Surgery, P.C. - Dr. John Doe B) Dr. John Doe, MD Anyone else seeing this sort of behavior? How are you creating local listings for clients these days - via the places dashboard, or Google+ Local?

Google Local Listings dropped in all major keywords
One of our websites had dropped dramatically in all of his major keywords over the past several days. He was ranked in the maps section in google (the old pages not the google plus pages) in the top 3 in his most important keywords and all of a sudden they dropped off the first page completely - not just down one or 2 places. Not sure what happened and how to fix it.. help please!!!

Google places is not showing up
Hi Mozzers, I have a client that have multiple franchises nationwide. All of them have their google places accounts serving their area. I have an issue regarding one of them that used to rank in position 2(places ranking). After 2 months ranking so high, it suddenly disappeared. I tried to be patient and hoped it would come back again but nothing happened. Since this account was under a master account (with many other places account), I thought it would be a good idea to suspend the one in the master account and create a new one under a unique gmail account. Guess what, it s still not showing up!! I don't know what to do! I have reviewed the Guideline and the listing seems to follow the guideline. I may be not aware of a major google update on places though. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Ty

Can this make one's local listing vanish from Google local search?
Hi All, Does anyone know if selecting "Yes, this business serves customers at their locations" under "service areas and location settings" in Google Places can cause a business's listing to disappear from Google local search? My interior designer client has a bricks-and-mortar location, was ranking at about #20 for "interior designer" in Portland, and now has dropped from local search. I had "No, all customers come to the business location" selected previously. In the past week, before the vanishing, I made these changes: 1. changed the service area to "Yes, this business serves customers at their locations", 2. removed "Portland" from the description in Google Places, and 3. submitted maybe two dozen directory listings to high DA sites (using Whitespark as the tool for determining where to post). Thanks everyone! Zack

Citations have dissapeared from places listing
This site citations have dissapeared from the 'more about this place' and looks to have effected the maps ranking by dropping the listing a few places: http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?hl=en&ie=UTF8&q=stella+settlements&fb=1&gl=au&hq=stella+settlements&hnear=Perth+WA&cid=9895804169495459418&z=14 The citations that have been removed are: http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/stella-settlements/burswood http://www.hotfrog.com.au/Companies/Stella-Settlements http://www.yellowpages.com.au/wa/burswood/stella-settlements-13951907-listing.html (all of these are listed on other competitors citations currently) (also the places page is using the reviews on Truelocal.com.au listing above which is strange) Do you know why these citations listings have been removed, however these have not been removed on competitors places pages by Google? thanks

Will linking to my citation sources help google recognize them / credit my places account?
Or will those sources be discounted by google then similar to how google discounts link exchanges? I have noticed some pages, like mapquest, don't really have a directory, so google might not be aware of their content unless it is linked too??? In this type of a case, would it help to link to mapquest's search results? then the citation will get picked up by google? Example: http://www.mapquest.com/?hk=6-i30tP49i
