How to get video content indexed (incl. example)?

Hi,
I am currently working with my first client on SEO, and I've been asked (among other things) to help them get their video content indexed by Google. Since this is my first client, and I haven't worked much with videos, I hope I can get some tips.
An example of one of their "theme pages" is about studying in Australia. The site is in Norwegian and don't mind the pop-up:

I would love to get some feedback to what I should do about this page in order to help them get their videos indexed.
By the way, they're considering hosting their own videos, and creating a system to keep everything local. Is this a better solution to seo than if the videos are hosting on YouTube/Vimeo or something else?

Duplicate Video within site
My questions is about duplicate video content. I haven't been able to get a clear understanding from reading the previous threads. We are hosting our videos with Vimeo and embedding into our site. I want to embed them in 2 locations - on our features page with Java (Can be seen here http://simpletexting.com/features/). I also want to embed them in our resource section so that we can link to them directly. I am wondering what the best way to do this for SEO and whether there is a chance that google will penalize us for duplicate content? If leave out the videos on the features page in the XML sitemap, does that address the problem? Who is doing ecommerce video right?
I'd like to see if I can get some channels of ecommerce companies that are doing great videos about their product and service. Best way to publish same content on 2 blogs?
I currently have a couple of blogs and I want to put a post on one of them and then copy it onto my other blog, but give the credit and the link back to the original (lose you yet?) I want to write a blog and publish it on my site (http://goo.gl/WRwR8) After it's on the blog on my main e-commerce site, i want to copy it onto my wordpress blog (http://goo.gl/0SSti) What is the best way to accomplish this without creating duplicate content? Is there a way to state on the second wordpress blog that this post originated from the ecommerce site? I could really use some guidance... Thanks

How Do I Know My Videos Are Indexed?
Hey Mozzers, Ive followed a few tutorials around the web and created a video sitemap and submitted it to GWT. The results were that 7 videos submitted and only 1 indexed. I cant view this information any deeply. However, if I go to videos.googlecom and conduct a site:domain.com, I can actually see that all 7 of my videos appear as results. If I then go back to universal search and search for the exact match title of the video along with site:domain.com, the page appear perfectly but without the Video thumbnail. Are my videos indexed? If yes, why are my thumbnails not showing? Thanks in advance.
