How can i solve this issue?
-
Try this:
RewriteEngine on
<code>RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^.*\/index\.html?\ HTTP/ RewriteRule ^(.*)index\.html?$ "/$1" [R=301,L]</code>
-
This works. Now non www. to www redirection is set. Thanks
now how do i solve this
will your above code solve this one also?
-
try adding this to your .htaccess
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^princetown.in
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.princetown.in/$1 [R=301,L] -
I added following line to .htaccess
RedirectPermanent /index.html http://www.mysite.com/
Now whenever i open homepage i getting following message
Moved Permanently
The document has moved here.
-
Do i do it one by one?
Can i set all non www URL to www?
-
Google essentially sees those 5 domains as individual sites and will list each as individual sites in results.
Follow the guide bjgomer liks you to, you need to set up your .htaccess file to resolve www and either finishwith a trailing slash or index.html the former usually being the better. You also need to decide first whether you want your site to be http://mysite.com or http://www.mysite.com.
-
Setup a 301 re-direct in your .htaccess file that designates the 'official' home page url. This will eliminate the crawl errors.

How do I fix my portfolio causing duplicate content issues?
Hi, Im new to this whole duplicate content issue. I have a website, fatcatpaperie.com that I use the portofolio feature in Wordpress as my gallery for all my wedding invitations. I have a ton of duplicate content issues from this. I don't understand at all how to fix this. I'd appreciate any help! Below is an example of one duplicate content issue. They have slightly different names, different urls, different images and all have no text. But are coming up as duplicates. Would it be as easy as putting a different metadescription for each?? Thanks for the help! How to block index of link and content
Hi, We have pages where articles are shown and in the sides we have small snippets of Articles which shows the title and close to 25 words and a image. When i search for something in Google the snippet image and content is shown and in Google when clicked it redirects to a page which is not meant to be shown for the keyword the visitor is querying Is there a way i can block all the links and content shown in the right and left side of the page so Google does not get confused with the page content thats not related to that page? thanks

Duplicate content because of member only restrictions on a forum.
Our website's Community Forum links to the membership profile pages, which by default are blocked for non-members. https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/community/ https://www.foodbloggerpro.com/community/member/1301/ We're getting warnings in Moz for duplicate content (and errors) on these member profile pages. Any ideas for how we can creatively solve this problem? Should we redirect those pages or just beef them up with more content? Just ignore it and assume that search spiders will be smart enough to figure it out? See attached video for further explanation. Community_Area.mp4

Duplicate Product BUT Unique Content -- any issues?
We have the situation where a group of products fit into 2 different categories and also serve different purposes (to the customer). Essentially, we want to have the same product duplicated on the site, but with unique content and it would even have a slightly different product name. Some specifications would be redundant, but the core content would be different. Any issues?
