How to Outsource Guest Blog Posts?
-
We have operated a small ecommerce company for over 10 years in the home and garden industry. Our product niche is small and there is not a lot of "community" around it as it is just not a social product, yet the product is interesting. Our internal time is very limited and therefore we have hired external help over the years to do our SEO. As you all know, this is very challenging to do affordably and not get spammers.
As part of our SEO strategy we would like to do some guest blog posts but do not have the internal time to research and build the relationships needed. We basically have no internal writing skills and have always hired writers to do our blog postings. My question is if you had to hire someone to do guest blog posts how would you go about finding the right person to use? Of course an excellent writer would be required. What would you expect to pay for this type of service? Would you do it hourly or "pay per live post". Any ideas on where to find this type of person? Thanks.

If you want to dabble with guest posting without initially having to over-commit, you could try a couple of the blog networks like myblogguest. These get bloggers and publishers together, so practically remove the need to the usual outreach. The nature of them does mean that you have a much smaller pool to work with though, so it's not the most scaleable approach.
For the writing you could find freelance writers with specialist knowledge. Try the usual freelance places (I quite like peopleperhour for this sort of thing), but advertise specifically for writers with topical expertise. Ensure that stipulates that they must provide a topical writing sample - you will soon figure out which applicants actually know the topic rather than those just trying to wing it.

My question is if you had to hire someone to do guest blog posts how would you go about finding the right person to use?
I would go out to blogs in the home and garden niche and hire one of the best...
.... but instead of giving that fantastic content to everybody everywhere I would place all of that content on my own website. This will build the equity in your site and you will not have to hire a person who is both a great writer and a relationship builder. It's hard enough to get a great writer.
You probably think that this guest blogging is going to get you links. The approach that I would take is hire someone who produces specific topic article content that will attract links to your site because the content is so fantastic. I would want widely known GardenBlogger guest posting writing specific topic articles on my site and mentioning on his blog that he just did a blog post article on xyz on the Goodwin blog.
What would you expect to pay for this type of service?
If you are hiring a highly skilled and knowledgeable person you will need to pay them enough to give you their fantastic content instead of putting it on their own site where it will make them a lot of money. If this person is really good you should be willing to pay her at least as much as you make because she will save you a lot of time.
Hopefully you will be able to afford her.

Starting Blog
Right now my page speed is above my competitors but I'm concern about the effect blog pluggins could have on my speed page. What would be a good plugin to start doing this without affecting too much to my speed page rank? My site: https://dentistaslaspalmasgc.es/

Sponsored post
If we are to get a quality blog to write a "sponsored blog post" for us and if they clearly state it is "sponsored" should the link back to our website be "no follow"? From an SEO stand point is it even worth getting the link if its "no follow"?

Sitewide links from blogs we sponsor - A Bad Thing?
We sponsor a few blogs in our niche. As part of the sponsorship, they include an advert on the RHS or LHS of the blog page. Links are dofollow and are sitewide. Should I be concerned? Should I be asking for a nofollow instead, if possible? I've recently disavowed links and am waiting to see what happens with this - hopefully there's a Penguin update soon - but I wondered if the blog links were part of the problem.

Is it a good idea to create a blog that offers quality content but also passes PageRank to sponsors
I am a part of a business networking group that has lots of members who services home owners (a/c repair, plumber, home inspector, etc.). I am thinking of starting a blog to help home owners be better informed how to care for their homes. I would like to ask for sponsorship from the people in my group. I would also like to invite them to post on the blog as a way to improve their SEO. Would posting on this kind of blog hurt, help or not affect their SEO? Would this violate Google's policy of selling links that pass page rank as described here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en.

Does posting on blogs with anchored backlinks do you any good?
My current strategy: I am ranking for keyword and site: Immigration Consultant I access the Fresh Web Explorer and search my keyword, then find the blogposts with High Authority where I can post using HTML and include my link in my signature, or sometimes the post has a link associated with the username. Now my question is this, does this count? will google even crawl the comments? can I aid the crawling process somehow? Any advice on creating relavent back-links is much appreciated. Thank you

Are guest post exchanges an acceptable tactic?
Suppose you publish a guest post on a relevant and quality blog and then you have that site also write a guest post for you. Is this considered natural? What do you think of this tactic? Is there risk of a penalty for exchanging links?

Guest Blogging Questions
Hi a few questions, 1. Is a anchor link in the body better then in the byline? 2. If 2 links are in the body will Google only count the first link? 3. Do you need a unique byline for each guest post, will having duplicate bylines not work as well as unique? Cheers
