What constitutes a link showing up in Google web master tools? I know I have links to my site that do not show up in WMT. Have they just not been indexed or does not everything just show up? If it just doesn't show everything, what is the criteria for links to be displayed?
Also when I run OSE it does not show all the links that have been displayed in my Google profile for a while. Why is that?

To add to that ahrefs.com is another service that has a pretty good sized database, but is of course not 'all of the internet' either.

WMT dose't display all links as it will be easier to "calculate" the link juice of those links and start gaming the rankings. There is no criteria and it dose't make sense to tray find one.
It's just a general indicator of the total links you have for one domain name. It's a good indicator and together with OSE and other link profile screeners you an get a good overall feedback from your link profile.
OSE on the other hand provides a lot of good feedback but it's not that vast as far as data - OSE doesn't reach the "other space" in depth.
That means if you have a link and it dosen't show up in OSE and WMT it doesn't mean is not considered by google is just not shown.
You can also try majesticseo as it dosen't provide in depth information but it has a very vast database of links - and again, majestic seo won't provide all links either - just a larger pool.
Hope it helps.

How long does it take Google to remove links after using disavow tool?
Hi guys, So we're currently in the process of removing some of the less useful and more suspect links from our profile, and used the Google disavow tool to do so. We uploaded the .txt file to the search console on 7th July this year, 2 months ago now, and according to our most recent site crawl, the suspect links are still showing up on our link profile. Do we have any idea how long this is roughly supposed to take? The ideas I've found online are conflicting - anything from 3-4 weeks to 6-9 months. Which is it? Is there any way of fast-tracking this process? Thanks!

Web Directories and Sponsorships in 2014?
Yes I know many of you will say that link building using web directories is old school and does not work. But after studying a website created last year, it ranks in the top 10 "how make a website" run by Peter Zaborszky.

I noticed that he has links from web directories. Not many but he used web directories.. My question is: What you sort a list of web directories and only use ones with high PR and DA . Is this safe? Another remark, what is the difference between web directories and page where donors/sponsors are mentioned with anchor text and dofollow link?. Those pages like web directories contain quite a lot of links from same page. I'm curious how Google sees these pages.0 -
Google Disavow Tool: which kind of links do harm and which do not harm my site?
Recently a guy asked at GoogleWebmasterHelp: Should I be worried if a couple of sites that I don't want to be associated with are linking to me? In this case there have been 2 porn sites linking to his site... that clear.

But my question is if for example sites like e.g. : http://www.linguee.de Linguee is one of the best dictionary sites where you can search for phrases and receive common translation examples which are very helpful. Liguee set some links to my site because they take texts usually from multilingual sites to gather examples.
A dictionary site does not have nothing to do with my business but also I don't consider that this might my harm my site? What do you think?0 -

PR web anchor text
We are submitting a press release today for a contest we are doing and it is actually news worth compared to a lot of things on PR web. Our question is PRweb.com still worth using? If we use them should we put an anchor text in it? We have one link to our home page and one to the contest page and we were going to have one link to a different page. But will linking to the third page with an anchor text be to much?

Is there a tool to keep track of internal links?
I am looking for a tool that will help me keep track of internal links. We are working on a website that has roughly 500 pages of unique content. We are at a point where we plan to go through all of those pages and look for natural, internal link building opportunities (as well as pages that may have too many "over optimized" links). It would be really helpful to know the following for each page: 1. URL (we can extract this)

2. Meta Title (we can extract this)
3. Target Keywords (we can manually enter these) 4. Internal Links To Other Pages - A field (or fields) where we could manually enter the URL of each page that this page links to (including the anchor text used) Once all of this data is entered, it would be great if this tool could also count how many incoming links each page has (from other pages on the site) or somehow show which pages link to it. This would help to identify pages that have zero internal links. Do you know if a tool like this already exists, or even a spreadsheet with some functionality like this already built in? Thanks,

How to Get Links as A Web Host
As a web hosting provider how would you get links other than people writing reviews about you? How would I find people with actual websites/blogs to ask to write reviews about us? Current customers will usually write reviews on webhostingtalk.com a popular forum for web hosting. We already have plenty of links from forums in the industry. Giving out prizes will only result in more links from webhostingtalk.com presumably, what do you think?

Trying to use the SEOmoz link building tools but...
all of the directories that are listed seem to be based in the US for US companies - am I missing something? By the way my target audience is solely based in the UK, Thanks, Jason
