Multi-Channel Funnels
-
Happy Monday all!
Just a quick question about the Multi-Channel Funnels in Google Analytics. I'm looking at the Assisted Conversions report over a set data range. I'm shown Assisted Conversion Value and Last Interaction Conversion Value for a PPC campaign. Would I be correct in thinking that the total value attributed to a campaign would the total of these values?
For example, let's say I spend £100 on a PPC campaign and the Assisted Conversion Value is £50 and the Last Interaction Conversion Value is £100. Is the total value of this campaign £150? I guess this would make the campaign a success as the ROI from the campaign would be positive.
Look forward to hearing all your thoughts!
Cheers,

If you have assisted £1000 and last Interaction is also £1000 this means that channel generated £2000.
Basically saying this campaign helped to generate x for another campign and it also generated x as it was the last channel used before the transaction.

Analytics / Funnel benefits to account creation at end of steps?
I'm working with a client that has a number of paths for users to take (demand vs. supply, a lot of variables, etc). All involve new URLs and are perfect for destination-based goals and thus the creation of funnels; however, right now most are irrelevant due to some issues involving redirects, changed paths, etc. In the process of trying to make sense of them, I discovered that the site forces you to make an account before proceeding through the steps in the funnel. Are there any resources that might indicate the best to approach situations like this - that is, account creation at the beginning (and as a requirement before proceeding) to creating an account at the end? I'm trying to make sense of all their potential paths, but it's impossible without making countless accounts. Thanks.

The difference between organic searches in Acquisition and organic searches in Default Channel Grouping
Hi guys, We have a question. In Google Analytics, there are 2 types of identifying organic searches: through Acquisition and through Default Channel Grouping. On our website, we have some differences between the number of organic sessions. Which one do you think is more relevant? Which one do you use? Many thanks in advance!

Has Google Analytics Funnel Visualisation changed / stopped working?
Yesterday my funnel visualisation tab in the updated GA interface was showing data flow. However today there is nothing showing in the graphical element despite showing some goal completion figures as a headline. Have they stopped doing up to the minute visualisation in favour of delayed results? Anyone else experiencing similar? Thanks in advance Tim

Last click conversions (Assisted conversions report vs. Channels report)
Hi Mozzers, Does anyone know why the last click / direct conversions (by channel) in the 'assisted conversion report in Google Analytics do not match the conversions in the Channels report. I thought conversion data in the channels report was last click / direct conversions? Thanks for your help!

Different transaction data social channel on Google Analytics
Hi there, On my ecommerce, in order to find out the number of transactions that came directly from my social channels I go to Acquisition->Channels and then I look at the column Transactions for the Social channel. Surprisingly this number differ from the one that I find under Acquisition->Social->Overview and then I select Transaction under Conversions. Then I look at Last interaction Social Conversions to find the number of transactions. The two quantities are totally different for a month window and they should be the same. Can any of you explain to me the reason why? Thanks and regards

Google Analytics: How to Track Blog Traffic that Enter the Purchase Funnel?
I've been trying to figure this out for awhile, but I have had no luck. The current ecommerce store that I work for is trying to find out how to track how many people coming in via the blog are converting/buying. The site lives on Magento and the blog is on wordpress and they both use the same Google Analytics code. Site URL: http://website.com/ Blog URL: http://website.com/blog Is there anyway to do this so you can see which landing pages are driving conversions? If not, Is it possible to set up Google Analytics to show conversions and revenue coming from people who enter through blog directory?

Reported data in Multi-channel funnels in GA wrong?
I'd love to start using the Multi-channel funnels feature in Google Analytics but I have zero confidence in the reported data as it seems to bear no relationship to the standard ecomm reports. To be specific, in August 2013, MCF is reporting the following for email campaigns: Assisted conversions = 20
Reporting & Analytics | | Bluesnapper
Assisted conversion value = £1,405.91
Last Click or Direct Conversions = 14
Last Click or Direct Conversion Value = £369.57 Now switching to the traffic sources report, GA reports for the email campaigns revenue was £1,226,41 over the same period across 21 transactions. My interpretation of this is that the email campaigns were the "last-click" and delivered £1,226,41 and 21 "conversions" (as I have no goals configured in this GA view, conversions = transactions I believe) That leaves the MCF last-click report short by £856.84 (£1,226,41 - £369.57) I can see no reason why this should be so unless I'm not interpreting the data correctly! Anybody have any suggestions/ideas as to what's going on? Any help appreciated.0 -
Google Analytics Goal Funnel Visualization Issue
I've setup a goal funnel but am having an issue when I look at the funnel visualization. It doesn't appear to be recognizing the 1st step of the funnel that I've defined in the goal edit page. The "Property Listing page view" is located at /listings/xxx where xxx is the number of the property. Within the funnel, I've added /listings/*, but when I go to see the funnel visualization, I see 0 counts for this step (even though it clearly shows on the entrance page to the left "/listings/622, etc". I've attached a .pdf with a few images to help make this clearer. Any thoughts? CRD-Funnel.pdf
