Ecommerce tracking problem with multiple domains on 1 web property

We recently launched 13 product marketing sites based on a Wordpress Multisite setup. To track all 13 sites we decided to use one web property, so we can use the same tracking code for all domains.
To track the sites seperately, we set up a profile for each product site with a hostname filter. This works well for most stats, but eCommerce tracking is where the problem starts.
Per profile we obviously want to track the products purchases on that website only. What happens now is that all purchases from all product sites are tracked on all profiles.
How can we change this? Should I alter the eCommerce tracking code or can I fix this with an additional filter per profile?

Pieter, The fact that the hostname filter doesn't apply to the eComm transactions is news to me. That's very odd on Google's part. I suppose they process the _addTrans calls differently? I'm out of ideas, save for having to manually segment once you're looking in that report by hostname. Sorry! Do update this thread if you uncover any other way to take care of it. Mike

Purchases take place on 13 different hostnames. When I view the Product performance report (under Conversions > eCommerce), I see purchases from all hostnames, despite a host name filter at profile level. When I make an advanced segment by the same hostname however, it only shows the purchases on that domain (like it should be). It seems to mee that the profile hostname filter does not play well with the eCommerce tracking...
Does this ring any bells?

Your logic sounds good, and I love the data clarity you're after with those profiles.
Are all the purchases taking place on the same domain? When you navigate to the content report for the receipt page, if you select the hostname as a secondary dimension, what does it say?
Your hostname filter should've bucketed all traffic properly, eComm transaction or otherwise.

We use one and the same tracking id for 13 sites.
This makes it easy to view aggregated statistics in one profile, but also enables a per site profile to only view one specific site.

Hi there, Our domain Authority has dropped significantly from 26 to 19 over the last month. This had been fairly stable over the previous 18 months. Organic search traffic down 60% since 8/1/18\. What now?
I have a small health & fitness blog, and my Google search traffic suddenly dropped 60% around August 1 (I've attempted to link an image). My rank has dropped for 86 keywords. I have no manual penalty, so I'm guessing I was affected by the algorithm change. My technical skills are VERY limited. I've tried to find answers on my own, but every time I try to "fix" something, I only seem to make it worse. I do seem to have some structural/performance issues with my site (e.g., lots of 404 errors from uninstalled plugins and unwanted permalinks). I asked my server for assistance (I used managed Wordpress hosting), and they said they couldn't help. As you can imagine, this is quite devastating, and I have no clue where to go from here. How to do Conversion Tracking for Homepage banners?
Hello All, I want to do banner conversion tracking for my ecommerce site. That is at my homepage I display 4 banners with special offers on 4 different products. Now that 4 products are already falls in relevant categories. I did event tracking for banners from where I can know how many clicks I am getting from each banner but My Query is how to know conversion of all 4 banner products because once I create goal that is funnel like 1) home page 2) product page 3) checkout step 4) Thank you page. But problem comes here is if anyone purchase these product from categories that also comes in goal so how to differentiate conversion of products from homepage and category pages? Is there any implementation via enhance ecommerce? Hope you understand my query? If any confusion do let me know. Thanks!

Campaign Tracking URLs and the Impact on SEO
Hi Guys, I am setting up tracking for a couple of offline campaigns in Analytics and would just like to know if this will cause issues. The situation is below: Two URLs Ranking Well Organically: www.domain.co.uk/area-covered/area-a www.domain.co.uk/area-covered/area-b URLs Setup for the Purpose of Offline Campaigns www.domain.co.uk/campaign1 www.domain.co.uk/campaign2 Plan to Track this in Analytics www.domain.co.uk/campaign1 redirecting to www.domain.co.uk/area-covered/area-a_&utm_medium=qr&utm_source=test1&utm_campaign=test1_ www.domain.co.uk/campaign2 redirecting to www.domain.co.uk/area-covered/area-a&utm_medium=qr&utm_source=test2&utm_campaign=test1__ So the idea is that the user gets a nice simple URL to input from the off-line media (www.domain.co.uk/campaign1). This then redirects to one of the pages thats performing well organically (www.domain.co.uk/area-covered/area-a) but with the relevant tracking (www.domain.co.uk/campaign1 redirecting to www.domain.co.uk/area-covered/area-a&utm_medium=qr&utm_source=test1&utm_campaign=test1). The only way that the tracking URL can be accessed by the user is if the off-line media URL is entered. My main concern here is how Google will treat this. Obviously I don't want to cause issues with the two URLs that are ranking well organically. Would having a version of exactly the same URL, just with tracking do so? Any help is appreciated! Feedburner stats show drop in multiple feeds from 6/21/13 to 6/22\. Anyone else seen the same?
Client has 3 RSS feeds in Feedburner, and they saw a drop in subscribers from 6/21 to 6/22. Wondering if anyone else has saw a drop recently. Obviously, this could be the results of multiple people cleaning up their feeds, but it appears too coincidental. Has anyone heard if there are any recent issues with Feedburner tracking?

Tracking 301'd Domains
'ello SEOMozers 🙂 I've been implementing some awesomely search engine friendly 301'd domains for clients and they work great but I seem to have missed the point where I track said domains in some fashion and come here to ask the question --> how are you all tracking refers from 301'd domains that are pointed to your main hubs? Currently our practice in-house is to alias them in our servers then use .htaccess rules to 301 them to the 1 domain to-rule-them-all but Google Analytics doesn't recognize them as different domains with that plan of action and there goes my refer tracking. Is there a super-star way to use the Google URL Builder and combine that with the above plan of action or a better plan? Has anyone else implemented something else more awesome-er that could help a girl out? Much thanks and Happy Thursday!
