Half key word in brand name itself

If you have half of the keyword you are targeting in ur brand name itself can we still use our brand name as anchor text in all inbound links

All you have to do is when you build any links, use natural variations of the anchor text.
Business Name Location
Business Name Keyword
Keyword Location Business Name
Business Abbreviation City
And so on. Too many links with the same anchor text are always unnatural to me. They scream manipulation.

Thanks @Marie for informing me about this I will be cautious about this..Am also thinking of having some other brand name for my business which doesn't have keyword in it is that ok? My business is in its starting phase so I can change my brand name

I'd be really cautious. I'd still want the majority of my links to be my url.
Look at the story of WPMU and Penguin. They got penalized for having a lot of "Wordpress MU" footer backlinks pointing at them even though that's their brand.
If my keyword is "red widgets" and I happen to get the domain name, "RedWidgetsInfo.com", I'd be super cautious about building a bunch of links with the anchor text of red widgets just because it is my domain name.

Let's say that Site A is a large brand with high authority ( Moz shows it at 90 DA). Site A is about “Blue Shoes”. Site B is about “fishing”. Do branded footer links hurt me?
I run a small seo company. We work uber white hat. We are small with only 4 of us but we have a good client base with great results. My question is related to my own websites because they are the only sites in which I practice this technique. I just watched the white board Friday about good vs bad link building. In the bad link building it mentioned never to externally link in the footer. Is this an all around statement? For instance, every new site we make we always put links in the footer of our clients. Usually says something like "Developed by Stodzy Internet marketing Almost all the web design companies I work with do the same thing. Is this going to help me or hurt me?

Affiliate Banner File Names?
Hello, I have this certain website. Is has an affiliate/referral system. Within this system I am adding affiliate banners for our members to use in order to promote the site. They are also getting paid for each referral of course. There is a little box where they can copy and paste the code and it contains the image and a link to the home page with their referral ID. So my question is, should I make these file names keyword rich? I am wondering if that would have any kind of SEO impact when they are linking to my website? Does it matter about the file name and ALT tag when it is on their website, but pointing to mine? Or will that only help their website? If it will not have any effect at all then I will just use the basic 300x300 type file name for them. Thanks in advance,

Sub domain names will they help with rankings
Hi, i have a site where i want to use sub domains to showcase the different areas in the country that we work, and i was thinking of having a couple of domain names with the city names to showcase the work we do in that city. I would like to know if by having a subdomain name and then linking it back to the main site if this will help me with the rankings for the main site. look forward to hearing from you

Domain name holding pages link back, good or bad?
We are a web design and hosting company http://www.spiralsites.com But when we register domains for clients, or they take email only or a name is parked we have it using a holding page which can be seen as follows: http://www.jcevents.co.uk/ is this a good thing? Bad thing? Could it would it should it benefit our rankings? Should we do more to make it look less like our main site and actually try to use it better to help rank our other services pages?

When good domain names go bad
We have created a website to distribute a niche product. About a year ago, another vendor decided to drop the product and did not renew their domain name. We tried to acquire the domain name, but a cyber squatter picked it up. The old domain name had a few decent back links, and there was probably some value to us with a 301, but the cyber squatter was asking $8,000 and we didn't even bother countering such an absurd figure. The old domain continued to rank reasonably well for one or our search terms, even though it was just one page of spammy links. Well, this week it appears that Google Panda may have finally killed it off. Which brings me to a couple of questions. 1. In addition to a simple Google search, is there a way to determine if Google has killed a domain? 2. Assuming that Google has indeed killed the domain, is there any value in trying to 301 the domain should it ever be released? Best,

Advice for brand new site
Dear All I have been an SEO for several years now, and have just laucnhed a new site www.householdsaver.co.uk its in its early stages as I expect to add a community option where people post deals and offers they have found, share them with friends etc My question is really are all the old seo practices still worth doing? Things like directory sites, blog comments, articles sites, social bookmarking etc.... (I have already built up twitter users on the account before the site went live) With Moz's trust factor is it best to go for highrank trust sites first or... I guess you could say that I am suffering from what do I do first and is it all still worth doing and what are the early pit falls to think about..? ie too many links too soon and from to high or to low trusted sites? Any comments from anyone who have put a new site live in the past couple of years would be appricated. Thanks James

What is the best wording you have seen in an outreach email?
We all get them and most of them are rubbish, very few of them have taken the effort to find out who they are emailing. So making it personal and doing some research first is essential but what about the wording of the email... can you share examples you like & that have had more success for you than others?
