I've created a pinterest board, which kind of serves as a blog also as it tells people how they can save money on their heating bills this winter.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to promote it as a backlinking opportunity? Would it be good to also feature the content on our website? Guest blogging?

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I would suggest that a Pinterest board isn't the best option to use as a blog. I would focus on strategies to promote your Pinterest board via Pinterest, and start a separate blog if you want a blog.

As someone who casually consumes online content on a regular basis, this also resonates with me on a personal level. I'm curious, what are your hesitations with focusing on shorter-form content that packs a wallop, and what excites you about it? Can you think of any examples of content you've come across that you consider 10x short-form content?

Duplicate content between my web and Youtube

I have a web with 90 vídeos hosted in my Youtube channel and each video have an description in single url, but Youtube videos have no description. If I copy description from my web and paste to Youtube description, this is duplicate content for Google ?

With my own company site, www.nile-cruises-4u.co.uk which has a long-standing blog attached, www.nile-cruises-4u.co.uk/blog I always felt that the blog content greatly aided our top positions in Google.co.uk. However, over the last 12 months we have slipped right down page one and I wondered if the blog is still helping our site or if the emphasis/value has switched and Google is looking at a lot of other factors where we score badly? I saw that you recently changed your blog from "show all" to "show an excerpt" and then "read more", could you explain me the reason? It´s not supossed to be better for the blog readers to see the full posts in the homepage?

What is the best way to bring a blog into my SEO strategy

We have a blog set up with Blogger and generate some great content on it. What is the best way to optimise the blog from an SEO standpoint? In particular the domain name, it is currently .blogspot.com address, is there a better way to work with that? Obviously the blog is branded with our company logo and name etc but is about the book industry. I'm basically concerned about linking people to our blog and not the website and so not getting much benefit?

Using testimonials to build quality content

I don't see a lot of talk on here about using testimonials to build good content. From what I have seen, the search engines love client testimonials. I haven't found a good service provider for this yet. I'm thinking something combined with Twitter or FB that also allows you to show the content on your site would be great. Can anyone recommend a service like this? I'm checking out a service called, "Quick Vouch" but I haven't tested it yet.
