Need to hire an SEO consultant to fix my website

Just started using SEOmoz and discovered lots of issues with my site. Need some help. Obviously the person could access my SEOmoz account and make sense of all that is needed. Then either go to my website and fix or tell me what to do.

If you know nothing (or even a little) about SEO, I would start by reading SEOmoz's Beginers Guide to SEO.
If you are still thinking about hiring an SEO firm to do the work for you, I would then watch this video from Rand Fishkin, our CEO here, to know what kinds of things to ask your potential SEO.
Here is also 10 Questions to ask a Professional SEO and there is a link on the bottom of the post with the answers.
Generally, if your site isn't huge I would recommend doing it yourself and ask questions here on the forum if you don't know the exact way, or best practice for something specific.
If you don't have time to manage the SEO process, then I would definitely still read through the SEO Guide and make sure you understand the basics of SEO so you can have an intelligent conversation with whom ever you hire. I've learned from experience that you have know something about the area or you'll have the potential of being burned by the person working for you.

Ignore SEO and traffic/calls dropped
I got caught up in a disaster of a website that consumed 3/4 of a year, all the while our SEO was put on the backburner with only occasional "massaging" to keep it going. Now our traffic has dropped almost 25% along with our incoming calls. Our rankings have remained steadily good- medium but definitely not bad during this period. Ajax tabs and seo and sitemap
I am in the process of simplifying my website so that there are tabs in each section which load dynamically by ajax all of the subpages.Each subpage has funny url with a hashtag.

Does this mean each page does not have its title , or metatags?, Is this bad for seo?. Many of these pages have only a paragraph of text. I also am making a sitemap which links to the pages as a normal page. Would this mean I have a duplicate content issue with seo?.0 -
International SEO (USA & UK)
Hi I have a client project site thats been operating successfully in the UK now for a few months and looking to expand offer to USA. Their dev team thinks best to have a UK & US subfolder with IP sniffer serving up the relevant version depending upon ip location Apart from price differences and some spelling differences content will likely be duplicate. Please can anyone offer advice in regard to the above such as links to latest international seo resources/articles etc (i have seen Aleydas great WBF). If anyone has any experience of above scenarios (i.e. knows of probs with ip sniffer method in regard to seo or essentially having dupe folders for uk & usa just with local differences) then any advice comments will be much appreciated ? Are internal and external footers on all pages of a large website detrimental to seo?
Hi, I am doing an seo clean up of our site - we have about 12 footers on the bottom of each page plus an internal site map including core keywords. Most footers go to internal sites and some go to external sites which are replicated on those external sites linking back to ours. (these sites are part of the same large company but are not related in any way) Are these bad from an seo ranking perspective? Do the look like spam? We get considerable traffic from one of the external footers that is replicated on their site so need to weigh up what the best option is whether to keep the traffic or to loose it as part of the seo clean up. thanks

Should I bother with branded keywords in my onsite SEO improvements?
Someone recently told me that using branded keywords extensively in your copy and titles may be unnecessary so long as you have a substantial catalog of back links containing keyword rich anchor text. Can I take this to mean I can privilege non-branded terms over branded in my onsite SEO efforts?
