-
Hello,
on my blog i don't nofollow the outgoing links inside roundups like : http://www.designzzz.com/extreme-demos-html5-jquery/
a friend of mine suggest me to nofollow all out going links in such postings. he added that it will help increase posts PRs and better search rankings.
Any thoughts?

this is not true, nofollowing the link is simply throwing away that bit of PR and not passing it to the other site. Removing it as a hyperlink and simply showing the url as text or obfuscating the link are two ways of retaining your PR.

Hi Ayaz,
As far as you are linking to webpage that are relevant to your blogpost and helpful to your visitor if he navigate to that link for additional information. According to me, you should provide the dofollow link ( as credit ) to awesome blogpost or content. When you don't trust the information ( comment on blogpost), you can use nofollow tag.
Your post Pagerank depends on incoming links and social shares.

Us eof outbound links and referencing sources
Hello everyone, I am writing weekly articles for a website. At times, I am referring to data/statistics from other articles/studies. My question is - how do you include links/references to this material? For example, I notice that some articles cite their sources at the end/bottom. But - some include outbound links to the original source throughout the main content of the article- so that when you click on the link it takes you to the correct web page. So far, I am including a 'Sources' section at the end of my article that includes title, author, date. I am doing this to stop people clicking off my article to check out the link! Do I need a specific sources section if I cite my source as I go along? For example, 'In their 2017 study of life insurance, the Association of British Insurers found that 70% of Brits are without life insurance'. (made up statistic! Different web writers seem to do different things and it's a little confusing!! Sorry if this is rather long -winded! Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks guys, Clare

Hi With internal links, should I make sure to always use the same anchor text im trying to rank the page for? For example im having a tidy up and have realised im linking to the same page in multiple blog posts using different anchor text. Whats the rule of thumb here? Thanks Chris

Linking from Subfolders
Hi, on my new theme there are a bunch of links from subfolders to pages that aren't in a sub folder, these pages also don't have links on the home page. Is there an seo issue when linking from subfolders to pages that aren't. I don't know if I'm wording this properly but what I mean is, mysite/project/project1 linking to mysite/post.

Too Many Links Explode Upon Upgrade
We upgraded our CMS system in September and then had an explosion of new errors appearing in SEOMOZ. Most concerning was the too many links area. Our main site is www.thenorrisgroup.com. Many of the links on the page are set up as no follows and nothing else changed so I don't understand why it's tracking differently all of a sudden. Any ideas?

Do you get penalized for cloaking the nofollow attribute in reciprocal link?
Is it bad to present a link to SE robots as a no-follow link, while normal users see it as a do-follow link?

Link juice question
In theory: If i have a page with only two outgoing, do-follow links,
On-Page Optimization | | elgoog
and both have the same target,
only the first one will be counted.. right? Will that link pass 100% or 50% of the link juice? (if the anchor text is the same or different does not make any difference i think)0 -
Can A Blog post impact negatively on Google rankings?
We used to rank fairly highly on Google for our preferred search term, but once we introduced a blog (or rather the blog excerps) onto our home page we dropped from page 1 to page 3 for our preferred search term. We have made the assumption this may be down to diluting of keywords and therefor the key phrase or message to the Search Engines was not as clear as it was before. Is this generally accepted as being the case ? If so - should each and every blog post excerpt start with the key seo search phrase to maintain the integrity of that search phrase ? or perhaps even better still is it best to have the blog on a dedicated page only with no excerpts on the home page ? We are using Wordpress and also using multiple categories within the blog - is it perhaps best to just have all blog postings on the one page and use TAGS more often? Thanksing you in advance.
