We're looking to hire a talented SEO Specialist for all of our SEO needs and wants - someone with amazing skills who can develop & execute comprehensive SEO strategies across our divers portfolio of businesses - But besides LinkedIN and Indeed, we're stumped on where to look! We just moved our headquarters to the heart of the great city of Detroit and thought there may be some great resources or recommendations!
Any suggestions on where we should look to find killer SEO talent!? Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Really depends if you're looking for an in-house SEO or an external consultant - if it's the latter have a look at the SEOMoz recommended companies, if it's the former you could consider hiring a specialist recruitment company, we've had some success with that in the UK.
The SEOMoz LinkedIn group suggested by Project#Labs is definitely a good place to start, although I'm not too sure you'll find the quality you're looking for on Craiglist.
Just had a quick look at your site too - looks like a fun place to work so hopefully you won't have too much trouble! : )

Odesk, and freelance.com are pretty good to try them before you buy them. With so many people claiming to be good SEO's, may be great at a resume or an interview but cannot fulfill your demands. Quora is a place to post this question as well

That SEOmoz LI group is a great resource, and you will definitely get much better results than on Craigslist. You should provide more detail, do you need someone in-house/on-site or can they be located else where (SEO can be performed from anywhere, but some companies still like to micro-manage)...

Have you tried the SEOMoz LinkedIn group? I know they have a jobs board where you can post job opportunities. You could also SEOs on Twitter to share your job opportunity to their followers. Also Craigslist is usually good for receiving a lot of resumes of candidates.

In a pickle. SEO for Personal Brand, Book or Keywords?
I'm getting ready to take on a new client for SEO, but she is having a hard time understanding I'd like to rank her for "Her" and her new book, rather than keywords for her ambiguous keywords which show very little to no search volume from Keyword Planner data. Her website and domain name are only 4 months old Her book launches sometime in December (most likely January 2016) Her services (she's a consultant) provide little keyword volume She is persuaded she needs to rank for her service keywords I feel strongly we need to get her name, her method/approach and her book optimized She is seemingly difficult to work with, but once I build trust in SEO for her, so will be a great, long client Her consulting services are based on Change and Transition for wealthy individuals going through career change, divorce, pay increase, pay decrease, depression, children, etc... targeting Executives, C-Level Execs In this situation, what would you all do? How would this website or person even be optimized? Blog articles? Press releases? Guest blogging? Video blogs? Podcasts? It's a tricky one and hoping the Moz community can lend some ideas as this type of SEO would be new for me, yet I'm up for the challenge! SEO For A Title Company?
Has anyone ever had success with doing SEO for a title company? The owner of our law firm has one, and I'd be happy to work on it, but it just doesn't seem to be cost-effective. From my experience, title business goes to people who personally know the realtor; no one who actually has a say is "googling title companies." Is putting/removing Adsense ads on the site affects crawling for seo?
Because I noticed when we totally remove Adsense ads on our site, the pages crawled per day on the google webmastertools suddenly dropped into noticable amount and we tested again to turn it on for a singe day, it jumped up again. So if Adsense affects crawling then, if we have adsense ad on all pages of the site the more chances it gets crawled by the bot? WS76R8w

E-commerce SEO when products are shared between sites
We have a couple of e-commerce sites that sell the same product. One focuses more on a niche category of the products, while the others contains a wide variety of products. Will we be hit with a penalty from google if the product descriptions are the same? If so, how much of a difference in content does there need to be? There are only so many ways to describe the product and it is usually done in a couple sentences. The rest of the product description contains bullet points of the products and is the same for each product. We are also looking for a SEO company to work with and wondered if there are companies out there that specialize in e-commerce seo that can work with a small ($500 month) budget. I've looked through the recommended companies directory here, but it seems most have minimum retainers around $1000 a month. Also, what should I look for in an SEO company?

What is a Achievable SEO Growth Rate?
Hi Mozzers, I have a question for you today. What is the achievable SEO growth rate (non branded SEO) for a typical job portal style site if you are also taking into consideration there is a blog with a lot of useful content being produced on a daily basis? How has your SEO growth rate been? Is it normal to think that the non branded traffic can grow by 1000 visitors or more a day each month? if I hit 1000 visitors per day this month, then 2000 visitors per day next month, 3500 visitors per day the month after that and so on? I know it's difficult to give numbers like this. Assuming it's a 1000 visitor growth, that mean it's a 50% or more SEO growth each month. it will be interesting to know how your growth rate has been. How can we provide geo-detection without hurting SEO?
We represent a franchise, and the parent site does well for head terms, but we want to add a feature with the nearest location to a consumer based on geo-detection. We don't want to hurt the rankings for broad head terms. Could we use an iFrame to present the closest shop without affecting the general SEO we have done?
