Google Analytics Search Engine Optimisation Report
-
Hello,
Quick question. How much data should be available within Google Analytics within the Search Engine Optimisation Reports? I was always of the impression it was 6 months, however the data available as of this date only extends back to January 1st 2013.
Thanks,
-
Thanks. I thought that might be it. Definitely was considering that one. Great to know it's worthwhile.

It was one of the best investment I ever made: http://www.marketmotive.com/internet-marketing-training-and-certification-signup?top=home&topic=WebAnalytics

Francisco,
What is Avinash's program? Is it still offered?
Thanks!
-
I always ignore GWT info from GA. I think it's pretty weak. I only use GWT to check the health and other things directly related to the site, not rankings. GWT is all over the place. Even Rand mentioned this long ago at MozCon.
If you are looking for real search engine custom reports, go to Avinash's website kaushik.net. He is VERY well know in the GA world. I'm a graduate of his program.
-
90 days of data is available, as everyone's already pointed out.
Furthermore, you won't be able to see the previous 48 hours of GWT (Google Webmaster Tools) data from today's date as it's still being compiled.
Google Analytics will not store the "Queries" but will record any clicks on organic keywords in your Organic Search sources section.

The data comes direct from Google Webmaster Tools, which only displays data back 3 months. I can't recall if GA stores the data for us so it holds further back, though. Still, this seems to be pretty common. Oh well.

Much appreciated!
Not sure what has caused this, but looks like its been set to run from the New Year and I can't find any coverage on it. Very interesting!
-
Yeah , same here. Stats from 1 Jan 2013.
-
Same with me.
-
Just looked at our account and its the same date as you said - Jan 1st 2013.

Deceptive site warning from Google: Java script and meta descriptions deployed.
Hi all, We received a deceptive site warning from Google recently. Seems like there is a deceptive content on some pages of the website. Some pages are removed from Google index. Meta descriptions have been deployed on the site few days ago. There is also java script on the website which we use for tracking visitors like GA. I wonder what's the reason for this alert? We believe its due to the Java script. Do you think meta descriptions will harm this bad? Any ideas? Thanks

Store locator searches online and offline store visits
Hi All, What is the accepted % for visitors that conduct a store locator search online actually visiting that particular store for the nutrition industry? (For example if 50 people used the store locator search on the website , we can confidently say that 25 of them actually went to that store) Any input or reference to studies/white papers on this topic would be appreciated. Cheers, SEO5..

Google De-Indexed Our SIte for Branded Terms?
Hello all, As of 10am Pacific on September 12th, 2013, my team has noticed that our site, www.wirelessemporium.com, does not show up on the first 5 or 6 pages of SERPs for branded terms like "wireless emporium." We have not received any messages from Google via Webmaster Tools regarding this. Major activity that we've been doing to our site is updating content, meta tags, and h1 tags, along with removing/301 redirecting certain pages that did not meet Google quality guidelines. We've also been purging our backlink portfolio of toxic links and URLs, both manually and through the disavow tool. No blackhat has been done to this site for a very long time (more than 8 months now). One thing to note is that we did have a manual spam penalty placed on us back in July of 2012, it expired in early August of 2013 after a reconsideration request was submitted, and a 2nd manual spam penalty was placed on us again later that month. We are submitting a 2nd reconsideration request this Monday. Could this or the recent Panda update have anything to with this? We are very much in need of opinions as to why this is happening to our site. 5adbd14a31de3a78b998df94f0b6d2be

Does Google recognise locality
We have been undertaking some website work recently and have identified that within our own geographical location of Hull, the www.styletech.co.uk website is first on page one. However, when moving approximately 30 miles away we are on Googles fourth page. We are in an independent network area e.g. Kingston Communications rather than BT, would this have an impact on how Google responds?

Keyword order on location searches
If someone is trying to find a service in a certain area they might use Google to search for "London plumber", "Plumber London" or "Plumber in London". Is there any research to show which of these tends to be used most, or are they all roughly the same? Thanks!
