I want to design SEO link building strategy for my website? Is wordpress.com, squidoo, tumblr, blogger, typepad - Good option for link building?
-
I am currently concentrating on 8 keywords, for e.g (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H). I will be writing blogs with 2 of any related keywords present in it. I am thinking to post 5 blogs on 5 different platforms as (wordpress.com, Squidoo, Typepad, Tumblr, blogger) respectively. I am thinking a strategy as:
Monday: Keyword A,B on Wordpress/ C,D on Squidoo/E,F on Typepad/G,H on Blogger/ A,C on Tumblr.
Tuesday:C,D on Wordpress/E,F on Squidoo/ etc....
and will rotate these keywords through out the week and the cycle restarts on Monday. The URL for every keyword will be different and relevant to that keyword.
I need quick suggestion on this topic..Please..

I agree with Lynn
It will be best if you spend all the energy required for deploying the plan (as stated in the question) into generating content ON YOU WEBSITE that will add value for the user.
-
Id agree with Lynn.
To deliver not only rankings long term, but to develop traffic that counts, then you are much better off spending time researching and structuring a piece of content that is of actual value to your sites potential visitor.
It looks like you will be spending time churning out content because you have a timeline to fill, with the sole purpose of structuring a link profile - from sites that have been overdone with this type of strategy.
Think about what is useful to your visitor, what can you create that they can engage with and share naturally? What will add value to your site? What will drive people to visit your site and share your content?
Come up with a solid content strategy for your own site, if its good enough, you will start building links without even trying - and in doing so, ensure your site stays clear of any updates to algorithms that may target the very sites your trying to gain links from.
-
Thanks a ton Lynn. I had discussed this strategy of link building with some of the SEO strategist in UK and I explained them my strategy on paper with the help of actual keywords and URLs. They were satisfied by the strategy
But still I want to take reviews from SEO professionals, like you...

Not really a great plan if you ask me.
Why don't you put the blog on your own domain, share the links through social channels and start building your followers and your domain authority? I would concentrate on quality over quantity, one good post a week is easily going to beat 5 spun out posts.
Your plan as it stands is too mechanical, easy for google to spot and really a whole bunch of links from the same, obviously networked sites like squidoo, tumblr etc how much value is that really going to drive? Not much I wouldn't think!

Getting a sitewide links from one domain as oppsed to few links from certain pages, a good, bad or horrible idea?
Hello, I have a website that is performing really well in Google for country specific Real Estate Website. I have had this site for just about 2 years and I have 4600+ indexed pages, and about 50 of my main keywords appear in top 10 results on Google. I have now started a second site with a brand new domain, its only about 2 months old. This one is a Travel website and again its country specific (same country that real estate website is performing well in) and since its still building up the content and has barely a couple of backlinks, I am thinking of adding a linkback to it from my Real Estate Site. Is it a good idea to add a site wide link back from header section of the real estate website to my travel website? Both sites has same country and most of the keywords in both relate to this country. Or will I be better off adding a few text links from few pages with best Page Authority? Or - do you suggest that I do not link the two at all? Both sites are hosted on different servers, with different IP's and one is on windows server created in asp.net while another is a magento site. Any advidce / insight will be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Do links to my website improve all pages?
I'm currently building links to my home page (through directories) and blog pages. However, none of these pages are actually targeted pages for main keywords. In SEO, do links to any webpage of a site contribute to the improved rank of other pages?

A few questions about link building?
1. Is it worth gaining more then 1 link on a website when link building, for example if I did a guest post on a blog, is it worth doing another guest post on the same blog linking to the same website? So 2 guest posts on 2 blogs, or 4 guest posts on 4 blogs? 2. When building links through guest blogging, you have two options, a link in the byline and a link in the content. Will a link in the content have more benefit then in the byline as its surrounded by relevant content? 3. Does having a link higher up the page have more benefit then one lower down?

Link Building PR versus topic
Regarding link building, what counts the most in terms of PR and relevance(topic). Is it whether, the link comes from a domain/page with high domain/page rank or that the link come from a domain with similar/relevant content? I know, we should always aim to get links from domains with both relevance and good page rank. But which is most important? For example: If we have a web site about swiss made watches. Should i focus on getting links from other domains with information about swiss made watches. Or can i achieve just as good link juice, by getting links from un-related web sites with high PR? We will of course get more qualified traffic from related domains. But from a pure search ranking, what plays the biggest factor?
