How can I "target keywords"?
-
Hello everyone,
Could you please explain how can I "target keywords"? So from my understanding, I do a research on keywords, then find those which I can rank for easily, and then what? Do I build links to my website pages with these keywords? Or do I create different articles on the website with this keyword?

Have you run any campaigns on FB, Twitter G+ for the page you want to rank?
No. we just have company pages on the social networks

What you are asking here is essentially "What is SEO and how do I do it?"
Well it's kind of an incredibly long answer and explanation and basically in order to truly master what you are after it will require you to spend some time learning the trade. These forums are a great place to do that, but probably not the best place to start. Moz does have some great resources to get you started, however. I would head this direction and read through every last page they offer if I were you: http://moz.com/learn/seo

Both will work... You want Google to see your site as authoritative so the more content/pages you have for those terms the better..
Social is becoming more and more important so if you can create something shareable on the page you want to rank for the better it will rank...

- Content
- Title
- Header
- and URL
So let's I have done so, but most of the competitors have the same stuff. lets say I take a keyword "best savings rates", and of course most of the competitors have the same keyword distribution. Can I outrank them by writing another article on different topic but which targets the same keyword? Will this help? Or should I build links around this page (best savings rates)?

"Targeted Keywords" are usually competitive terms. What if you club more contextual keywords, terms(long-tails), questions.and create valuable content around it.
Same time, based on same subject you can make and embed some cool Powerpoint PPT(Slideshare), infographics (Pinterest) on same page.
Ensure download time, Typography and overall elegance.
This is what you are targeting audiences and not keywords. Keywords are means. Its ok to analyze search volumes of keywords (I bet they always are approximate, non-accurate and fluctuating)Serve "intent" of the search not "Search Terms"

Hi,
You will need to create content that has these keywords in it. You will then need to optimize the page that your content is on. If your keywords are in the:
- Content
- Title
- Header
- and URL
You can be sure that when Google index your page you will start ranking for these keywords.
This is just one way to optimize your page for your keywords... make sure you also add share buttons for poeple to share your page socially. Don't forget that if you want people to do this make sure you create great content that people will find interesting and want to share.
Hope this helps

No SERPs contains my keyword phrase
Hi! I have a question that is the best described by an concrete example: When I use Google UK and search for a keyword "wood floor" why the top 100 search results show pages for "wood flooring" instead? Is it because that keyword is simply more popular and pages are in general better optimized for "flooring"?

On-page Keyword Optimization
So I have created a page for the term "denver buick" but the next largest search term is for "buick denver." Should I create another page focusing on this keyword, or optimize one page for both? It's hard to come up with unique content since they are the basically the same term. But most importantly, if I make this new page, how do I incorporate it into the site architecture? Thanks!
