I can't add Google+
-
I just signed up for the beta analytics, when trying to add our CEO Google plus it asks to create a new G+ profile? Why can't I add her Google + without creating a new one?
-
Hi ,
We were finally able to submit the Google+ and have it acknowledge a connection. It took multiple tries over several days in varying ways to get it synced and acknowledged but, it's finally in.
Many thanks!

Hey Katherine,
Sorry no one has gotten back to you yet! There's nothing in our system that would require or even ask you to create a G+ page. That sounds like something with Google. It's possible they did not recognize that you were logged into your Google account.
I just tested connecting a Google+ page to a campaign fresh and the auth process was seamless with no excessive demands like that.
I hope that helps. If you still have troubles, take a screencast of the process and shoot it over to help@moz.com so we can look into it further for you.
Cheers,
Joel. -
I just wanted to provide an update from my side.
I was able to successfully add all social media sites. I received the aboved mentioned error when I was using IE. I switch to Chrome and the page was able to complete adding my social media profiles. Another interesting note was that once the page returned to the MOZ Analytics, it needed an additional step on each one of them. I had to click on the edit ("pencil") button once more to select the require tracking profile.
Maybe this answer helps some of you.
Thanks,
Adan

Having same problem. In for answers.

I am another person waiting for this response! I can't add any of my social media pages for my company (Google+, Facebook, nor Twitter)... I am redirected to the approval page, but once I accept, I am then redirected to an empty page with the Moz Logo on the top.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hi Rochelle. Hopefully a Moz Help Desk person answers. I have a similar problem with Google+
I can add my personal G+ profile, but I can't get it to accept my business G+ profile. There a space there for it, and I enter the page name and URL, but it never does anything with it.
I got it to at least recognize my personal G+ profile by already being signed in to G+ before opening the page in Moz Analytics where you enter your social media account.

MOZ flagging urls as longer than 75 characters when they aren't
As an example: https://www.abthermal.com/3m-70-70hdt-self-fusing-silicone-rubber-electrical-tape.html Moz has flagged this as URL too long... but guideline is that happens at 75 characters or more? I count 55..?? or does the 75 limit have to include the domain? Thanks, Adrian

Keyword rankings and tracked keywords - add manually?
Hi, I am a bit confused as to how Moz handles the tracked keywords list that it periodically updates and sends me e-mails about regarding where the position has changed etc. When I signed up for Moz it somehow automatically found a part of our keywords that we use and is now tracking them successfully. However, I have a lot more keywords to track ofcourse since we have nearly 1000 products and Moz hasn't really discovered most of them automatically. Does it mean that the rest of the pages are not optimized enough to even recognize a specific keyword or is it just the matter of adding them all manually? Thanks!

After fixing Crawl Errors, how long does it take to for Moz or Google to re-crawl a website?
Last night I found out through Moz that my robots.txt file was blocking any crawling of my website. I fixed the issue. Now do I just sit and wait?

Dashboard doesn't show new data for the passed week
Did Roger leave us to search for eastereggs 😉 ? My dashboard still shows data from the initial crawl (2- 8 april), and hasn't updated since. Have I switched something off ? The next run should contain 9 - 15 april, and that period closed yesterday so I wonder what's going on ...

Moz's official stance on Subdomain vs Subfolder - does it need updating?
Hi, I am drawing your attention to Moz's Domain basics here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain It reads: "Since search engines keep different metrics for domains than they do subdomains, it is recommended that webmasters place link-worthy content like blogs in subfolders rather than subdomains. (i.e. www.example.com/blog/ rather than blog.example.com) The notable exceptions to this are language-specific websites. (i.e., en.example.com for the English version of the website)." I am wondering if this is still Moz's current recommendation on the subfolders vs subdomains debate, given that the above (sort of) implies that SE's may not combine ranking factors to the domain as a whole if subdomains are used - which (sort of) contradicts Matt Cutts last video on the matter ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MswMYk05tk ) which implies that this is not the case and there is so little difference that their recommendation is to use whatever is easiest. It would also seem to me that if you were looking through the eyes of Google, it would be silly to treat them differently if there were no difference at all other than subdomain vs subfolder as one of the main reasons a user would use a sud-domain is a technical on for which it would not make sense for Google to treat differently in terms of its algorithm. I notice that in terms of Moz, while most of the site uses subfolders, you do have http://devblog.moz.com/ - and I was wondering if this is due to a technical reason or conscious decision, as it would seem to me that the content within this section is indeed linkworthy (as it has external links pointing to it from external sources), therefore it would seem to not be following the initial advice that is posted in Moz's basics on domains. Therefore I am assuming it is due to a technical reason - or that Moz's adive is out of date with current Moz thinking, and is indeed in line with Matt C in that it doesn't matter. Cheers

Can't setup new campaign
Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up a new campaign for a website which has Cloudflare installed. After I enter the campaign name and URL the loading circle comes up and spins for a while, but then it just stays on the same page. No error message is given. I can't get to the next page of the setup campaign form sequence so that I can set up this campaign. Has anyone else had this problem and is there any fix? Thanks in advance
