Help With This Page
-
This is page - http://www.kempruge.com/location/tampa/tampa-personal-injury-legal-attorneys/ - is the most important one to my business, and I can't seem to get it to rank higher. It has the second highest authority and links, second only to my homepage (though none are all that impressive) but it is just buried in the SERPs. Granted, I know Tampa Personal Injury Attorney is the hardest keyword for us to rank for, but there must be some way to improve this.
I know getting high quality links is an appropriate answer, but I'm looking for anything I can do solely on my end to improve it. However, if anyone has some ways to make the page more linkable, I'm all ears!
Please, if you have a second to take a look, I'd appreciate any and all feedback.
Thanks,
Ruben

Great suggestions above.
I have many legal clients in all of your practice areas so this is hitting close to home and i think you could improve in so many ways. One suggestion below.
Show some indicators on your home page via an in-content internal link to the PI page you mentioned .
Also you have two pages competing for the personal injury keyword. Choose one page to target the personal injury keyword. Choose one page and add your office locations to the footer.
Maybe optimize your image name http://www.kempruge.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/90201067_8.jpg but do not over optimize.
You could also benefit from some additional link building to the page you want to rank.

By all means be blunt, and I really appreciate that you were. Thank you very much!

I didn't dig deep into your site but here are some initial thoughts. I’m going to be blunt but please don’t take it personally. Take the information for what it is, just information and my thoughts.
Page Thoughts:
- The actual copy on the page is a little hard to read and doesn't seem like it came from you. You seem to be missing some words and the overall thought seems to be lacking.
Here are the last two sentences of your first paragraph:
"When you are represented by a Tampa Personal Injury Attorney with Kemp & Ruge, you get the individual attention you deserve. represent you as your Tampa Car Accident Attorney, you will be getting a group of professionals who put their clients first."
For an attorney website, I would expect better than this.
- You have a “link cloud” below your copy
“If you are even thinking about hiring an attorney for your personal injury case, please consult with an injury attorney. Click here for your: Pasco County Personal Injury Attorney, Hernando County Personal Injury Attorney,Pinellas County Personal Injury Attorney, Hillsborough County Personal Injury Attorney, Tampa Personal Injury, Clearwater Personal Injury Attorney, Land O’ Lakes Personal Injury Attorney, Lutz Personal Injury Attorney, Odessa Personal Injury Attorney, New Port Richey Personal Injury Attorney, Spring Hill Personal Injury Attorney, Tarpon Springs Personal Injury Attorney, and Palm Harbor Personal Injury Attorney.”
This, personally, sends mixed signals to Google about what your page is about. (You seem to have this on almost all your pages.) Internal linking is important, but how you do it is just as important.
- At the bottom of your copy, you have multiple addresses on the page. Again, I feel this sends mixed signals to Google and doesn’t really help users who land on this page. Having a consistent NAP (Name, Address and Phone Number) will help both Google know that this page is meant for Tampa and users to get exactly what they are looking for.
Recommendations:
-
New copy/content on the page. I would talk about what makes Tampa unique in the Personal Injury Law space. Maybe talk about how the process works in Tampa when you get injured. Talk about a little of the history of Tampa and why Tampa, specifically is a great location to live but that “even in paradise, injuries occur.” (Just throwing out ideas)
-
I would make this page a sort of landing page for your Tampa Office. I would add schema markup for local business (http://schema.org/LocalBusiness) and include a Google map of the location to help people find you. I know that it’s an appointment only location but this should help.
-
When you write your blog posts and mention the word Tampa, I would link, internally, to this page. This will help set up a strong internal link structure with location information that will help Google know that this page is specifically for Tampa. The keywords on your page and how outside sources link to it should do the rest.
4)In your footer, you have the locations listed, I would make the Title of each location a link to that specific page. The Tampa Office should link to the page we are discussing.
Like I said at the beginning, I didn’t dive deep into your site but these are my quick observations and recommendations.

Once you have your google local pages setup try getting reviews, it's a long run type approach that may allow you to outshine others locally.

Yeah, I really thought Finebloom would be gone by now, especially considering what I read about it here. We've definitely not put as much into local seo as we should have, but we will start.
Thanks!

SoleGraphics has it. Try to get into the local results.
... and if that don't work try video spam like the guys at Finebloom. I can't believe that those are still killing the SERPs for major cities all over Florida.

Have you tried some local SEO stuff? Moz has a crap load of info on that. http://moz.com/blog/top-20-local-search-ranking-factors-an-illustrated-guide

Should remove 404 page
Hello, I upload a new website with new web addresses and my current addresses don't work anymore. I don't want to do redirects. Should I just remove the old address from google index using their tool or let google do it on its own. Thank you,

Help With Href Lang Implementation
Hi, We've received the following Href Lang errors in Google Search Console. After much research and playing around with the tags we're still no closer to fixing the issues. ERRORS; http://prntscr.com/du8ei8 AND http://prntscr.com/du8evi As you'll see, Google is telling us that some URLs do not have return tags, but they do seem to! Does anyone know of a pro that can provide a service to fix this for us? Many thanks in advance, Lee.

Hreflang and paginated page
Hi, I can not seem to find good documentation about the use of hreflang and paginated page when using rel=next , rel=prev
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | TjeerdvZ
Does any know where to find decent documentatio?, I could only find documentation about pagination and hreflang when using canonicals on the paginated page. I have doubts on what is the best option: The way tripadvisor does it:
http://www.tripadvisor.nl/Hotels-g187139-oa390-Corsica-Hotels.html
Each paginated page is referring to it's hreflang paginated page, for example: So should the hreflang refer to the pagined specific page or should it refer to the "1st" page? in this case:

Page URL keywords
Hello everybody, I've read that it's important to put your keywords at the front of your page title, meta tag etc, but my question is about the page url. Say my target keywords are exotic, soap, natural, and organic. Will placing the keywords further behind the URL address affect the SEO ranking? If that's the case what's the first n number of words Google considers? For example, www.splendidshop.com/gift-set-organic-soap vs www.splendidshop.com/organic-soap-gift-set Will the first be any less effective than the second one simply because the keywords are placed behind?

Help needed for a domain
I have a small translation agency in Brazil (this website), totally dependent on SEM. We are in business since 2007, and we were on top position for many relevant keywords until the middle of 2011, when the ranking for the most important keywords started dropping. In that time, we believed that we needed to redesign the old static website and replace it by a new modern one, with fresh content and with weekly updates, which we did, and it's now hosted on Squarespace. I took care to keep the old links working with 301 redirections. When we made the transfer from the static site to Squarespace (Mar/2012, see the attachment), the ranking dropping became even more serious. Today, we have less than 50 unique visitors per day, in a total desperate situation! To make things worse, we received an alert from Google on 23/September/2012 talking about unnatural inbound links, but Google said that "As a result, for this specific incident we are taking very targeted action on the unnatural links instead of your site as a whole", so we thought we didn't need to worry about. Google was correct, I worked many hours to register our website in web directories, I thought there would be no problem since I was doing this manually. My conclusions are: Something happened prior to Mar/2012 that was making us losing territory. I just don't know what! The migration to Squarespace was a huge mistake. I lost control over the html, and squarespace doesn't do a good job optimizing the pages for SEO. We also were also blasted by Penguin on September, but I believe this is not the main cause of the drop. We were already running very badly at this time. My actions are: a) I generated a DTOX report and I'm trying to clean up the links marked as toxic. That's a hard work! After that I will submit a reconsideration request. b) I'm working on the site: Improving internal link building for relevant keywords Recently I removed a "tag cloud" which I believe was hurting my SEO. Also, I did some redirections that were missing. c) I trying to generate new content to improve link building to my site. d) I'm also considering to stop putting all my coins on this domain, and maybe start a fresh new one. Yes, I'm desperate! 🙂 I would appreciate a lot to hear from you guys, expert people! Thanks a lot, MWcEdPa.png?1

What to do if the wrong page is ranking?
What to do if the wrong page of your website is ranking and you cannot 301 it? Apparently an outsourced company the previous manager hired build anchor text links to the homepage, when those links should have been pointing to a deeper page. As a result, the hompage is now ranking for that term. But I think we can convert a lot more of the visitors if the deeper page is there instead. Obviously, I can't 301 the homepage. What would you do?

Google swapped our website's long standing ranking home page for a less authoritative product page?
Our website has ranked for two variations of a keyword, one singular & the other plural in Google at #1 & #2 (for over a year). Keep in mind both links in serps were pointed to our home page. This year we targeted both variations of the keyword in PPC to a products landing page(still relevant to the keywords) within our website. After about 6 weeks, Google swapped out the long standing ranked home page links (p.a. 55) rank #1,2 with the ppc directed product page links (p.a. 01) and dropped us to #2 & #8 respectively in search results for the singular and plural version of the keyword. Would you consider this swapping of pages temporary, if the volume of traffic slowed on our product page?

Need help/insights. Site SEO = OK, Authority BLs = OK, Rank page #1\. How to reach pos #1?
Hi there! Some doubts are confusing my head and need some assistence from you to get on the right track. I'll explain my situation and want to hear from you what do you really recommend for med/long term permanent results. 1 - I have a PR2 (.com.br) domain; 2 - I'm talking about little/med competition micro-niche keywords; 3 - I got all pages I want to, indexed (I have a well SEO constructed website with internal link building); 4 - If a keyword has average competition, I'll already start ranking in page #3 on the SERP's; For a few low competition keywords I start on page #1; 5 - I do a little whitehat link building, 1 or 2 backlinks on authority sites and then like 15 days later I came to page #1, generally on position 9/10; And then I got stucked 🙂 No more authority sites where I can get backlinks... I do some posts on the company twitter/facebook page's, but they are no follow, so I don't really now if this can help. (never see a SERP result). I did some "blackhat" stuff to see if it really work: I can say for sure the "profile backlinks" that we can buy from some sites doesn't work (maybe it's just for me). I can't see it on webmaster tool and neither my ranks changed since I bought a pack of 100 links (the links are working, I see it one by one) to test. Maybe the problem is about the domains, cause my site is .com.br and I'm buying .com profile links. I guess google understand backlinks from .com.br more valuable for my sites. Back to whitehat: I wrote some articles and posted it the right way, of course on .com.br articles sites, got it indexed and can see the backlink on webmaster tool, but no change on SERP's. (maybe this can be a long term result and I'm not seeing it yet). I'm really "scratching my hand" to do some blackhat stuff, but I don't want to lose what I already have done... I heard a lot about scrapebox but doesn't fell confortable to spam as hell a lot of blogs. I really want long term permanent results (my sites are totally whitehat/corporate sites). Can you expert guys give me some point to where I need to "walk" now to improve the SERP's? I never reached top #1 and want to try to rank at least one time to understand how this can be made... I'm thinking now to pay someone to rewrite 20 copies of an article and up it on some sites, to see if 20 can improve something. But still no confident, because it will cost like $100 for a good writer do it for me on my language. Maybe I can do better things with 100 bucks. I guess I did the path right: Internal SEO -> got indexed -> backlinking from authorities -> new articles backlinks to me (is it ok at this position or no?) -> (what next ?) I know SEO is a hard/never ending work, but what I'm trying to get cleaned on my head is the path of the work (if a right path really exists). Every word will be apreciated. What do you can suggest to me to try now? (please give me a hint to see SERP's results 🙂 if I feel that something worked, no matter how it can cost to me, but I'll pay for the work happily) Sorry if I'm a little confusing, english isnt' my first language. Thanks.
