April Google Update?
-
Since April 16 (when Jews ate Matzah) Google hurt one of our clients badly. They are well-known and beloved brand with hundreds of employees and locations across USA.
I can’t see any signal of organic update, or penalty (neither Google Places).- No message on GWT
- Nothing has been changed on and off site.
- All keywords' ranking are looking like this
- All tools showing good analysis: MOZ, Barracuda, MajesticSeo
- Content is good and not duplicated,
- etc.
Do one of you is aware of significant Google update?
What do you think/suggest? -
So here is your issue
run a review, start removing and disavowing all the bad links. A lot of penalties went out in April, e which is why Mozcast was so volatike, there wasn't a major update IMHO.

Good point!
I didn't think to check "manual actions" on GWT (because no warning found on message center). This is what I see there:
Manual Actions
Site-wide matches NonePartial matches
Some manual actions apply to specific pages, sections, or links

Unnatural links to your site—impacts links
Google has detected a pattern of unnatural artificial, deceptive, or manipulative links pointing to pages on this site. Some links may be outside of the webmaster’s control, so for this incident we are taking targeted action on the unnatural links instead of on the site’s ranking as a whole. Have you checked the penalty check tool in webmaster tools?

Hello MOZ Rogers – Tuk – Tuk. What about http://moz.com/google-algorithm-change ?

Barry Schwartz said there looked to be a Panda update starting to roll out about the 14th. These can take a few days to roll out. Lots of comments in the thread from webmasters complaining.

The subject brand is nothing to do with music. It is moving/storage company.

This graph looks awfully similar to yours.

All of the keywords but brand.
Just-Discovered Links looks good - I have checked them all.
Going thru you "how to diagnose" list:
Something wrong with your analytics program - Nope.
Something to do with Google Algorithm or Webspam Team:
- Manual penalty - How can I know? No email has been received
- Algorithm update - The only thing we found is MP3 / Lyric update
- Normal Google fluctuations - Not seems like
Something to do with Webmaster Tools - Nope.
- There is (and always was) excessive link (on every page) from brother companies/websites. This is normal behaviour of brands.
- Zero warnings on GWT dashboard.
Something wrong with your website - nothing changed recently but I have checked it again. All good.
- In the recent days we found FOUR old "access denied" errors and we fixed them. Can't believe it is that.

Mozcast (http://mozcast.com/) shows that the 17th and 18th were pretty chaotic in the SERPs. Take a look at the metrics page on there too. I noticed a few drops on some of my client's profiles but not as significant.
Was this drop for all of your keywords or just one or a few???
Here is an article on how to diagnose a drop in rankings from the team over at ignite. http://ignitevisibility.com/diagnose-drop-in-seo-traffic/
If you haven't done so already. I would look into Google WMT and check out "recently discovered links" just to make sure none of them are harming you in any way.

Google Update
My rank has dropped quite a lot this past week and I can see from the Moz tools that there is an unconfirmed Google update responsible. Is there any information from Moz on this?

Problem with Google finding our website
We have an issue with Google finding our website: (URL removed) When we google "(keyword removed)" in google.com.au, our website doesn't come up anywhere. This is despite inserting the suitable title tag and onsite copy for SEO. We found this strange, and thought we'd investigate further. We decided to just google the website URL in google.com.au, to see if it was being properly found. Our site appeared at the top but with this description: A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more. We also can see that the incorrect title tag is appearing. From this, we assumed that there must be an issue with the robot.txt file. We decided to put a new robot.txt file up: (URL removed) This hasn't solved the problem though and we still have the same issue. If someone could get to the bottom of this for us, we would be most appreciative. We are thinking that there may possibly be another robot.txt file that we can't find that is causing issues, or something else we're not sure of! We want to get to the bottom of it so that the site can be appropriately found. Any help here would be most appreciated!

Hi I have swaped from HTTP to HTTPS and put a redirect on for HTTP to redirect to HTTPS. I also put www.xyz.co.uk/index.html to redirect to www.xyz.co.uk When I fetch as Google it shows up redirect! Does this mean that I have too many 301 looping? Do I need the redirect on index.html to root domain if I have a rel conanical in place for index.html htaccess (Linix) - RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^xyz.co.uk

How to find all indexed pages in Google?
Hi, We have an ecommerce site with around 4000 real pages. But our index count is at 47,000 pages in Google Webmaster Tools. How can I get a list of all pages indexed of our domain? trying to locate the duplicate content. Doing a "site:www.mydomain.com" only returns up to 676 results... Any ideas? Thanks, Ben

Setting Up Google Analytics for domains with 301
I have a client with a google analytics account that is a mess. domaina.com domainb.com 302's to domaina.com domainc.com 302's to domaina.com domaind.com 302's to domaina.com I thought the client was doing 301s on all these domains to the primary domain. I have logged into there analytics account and found data is being tracked on the other domains i.e domainb,c,d.com etc. How is it possible that google analytics is tracking data on these domains when no analytics code has been created and the urls are redirecting to domaina.com? Also there are not sites on these domains so for webmaster tools should I enable domain verification through a cname on the dns? Also I can I best setup a way to track traffic coming from say domainb.com? Whats the best step by step guide to use to set this up.

Google, Links and Javascript
So today I was taking a look at http://www.seomoz.org/top500 page and saw that the AddThis page is currently at the position 19. I think the main reason for that is because their plugin create, through javascript, linkbacks to their page where their share buttons reside. So any page with AddThis installed would easily have 4/5 linbacks to their site, creating that huge amount of linkbacks they have. Ok, that pretty much shows that Google doesn´t care if the link is created in the HTML (on the backend) or through Javascript (frontend). But heres the catch. If someones create a free plugin for wordpress/drupal or any other huge cms platform out there with a feature that linkbacks to the page of the creator of the plugin (thats pretty common, I know) but instead of inserting the link in the plugin source code they put it somewhere else, wich then is loaded with a javascript code (exactly how AddThis works). This would allow the owner of the plugin to change the link showed at anytime he wants. The main reason for that would be, dont know, an URL address update for his blog or businness or something. However that could easily be used to link to whatever tha hell the owner of the plugin wants to. What your thoughts about this, I think this could be easily classified as White or Black hat depending on what the owners do. However, would google think the same way about it?
