Has anyone used nolo.com's directory and do you think it is worth it for link building?

That's pretty steep. You have to think about more thank link value too though. People looking for a lawyer may find you in the nolo directory. it may be expensive but it is a pretty fantastic link. Maybe do all the other stuff first, see how well you can do in the rankings, and when you're looking for something to put you over the top, try getting a link then. If you can get to the top without it, then great, you saved yourself some cash.

nolo charges a significant fee - 155 a month - or 1800 for 2 years
bbb.org charges as well - but I haven't spoken to their rep.

I've had good experience with a link from BBB - never used nolo.com
Shortly after joining and becoming "accredited" they appeared as the #7 result for our company name which has a nice connotation especially if your company has a good grade. Definitely worth the cost.

If you have a law firm then being listed at nolo.com is pretty valuable. You get two links it looks like, your profile and then your city/category you show up for. I would definitely pursue a link there.
bbb.org is a very authoritative site. getting a link here would be great as well.
Were you considering not getting links from these sites? Or do they charge a fee and you are wondering if the fee is worth it?

Hello, What is your latest link building techniques considering manual link building is basically dead, and you should really build good content to drive results. Link building has really become less important. It seems to be much more 10X content now. What would you recommend for basic link building considering this besides the 50 first Links video by Rand, which is excellent. Thanks, Bob

Best Methods - Link Building
We are having more and more "new" customers coming to us who have been hit by various algorithms imposed by google. After we have run a site health check and corrected everything, we plan and come up with a link development plan which suits the clients needs. Much of out link development work is safe comprising of; 1. Guest Blog Posts - where we develop creative content with the customer to publish. 2. Industry blog posts - where bloggers write about i.e. "the company" 3. Social media - posting pictures, commenting on forums, etc 4. Paid directories with authority We don't develop links in any other way and it brings results in the long term. Is anyone out there doing something else? I received an invite from a company to enter a contest for a chance to win a prize. The contest is run by Rafflecopter. Rafflecopter looks interesting because you can place the contest anywhere including social sites and your own website. Contestants can increase the chances of winning in various ways such as an FB like, tweet, etc. The largest number of points (for this particular contest) are awarded for linking from your website to their website. Given that the contestant must add the link to their website and the sponsoring company can not control whether they use nofollow, couldn't this contest approach to link building cause problems for SEO? If the contest included instructions to copy and paste the html with a nofollow, that would seem like a better solution, but the only guidance given was to link to their home page. Your thoughts? Suggestions needed on link building campaign...
Getting links has become very difficult task for me. Recently i have started a website on Depression and Anxiety. My campaign steps: 1)Hired a doctor to write stuff on my website. 2)After that we did 100 more articles for article marketing. 3)Submitted content to top article directories.. All links to only 1 anchor (domainname.com). I haven't promoted my domain with main anchor anywhere. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO 😞 Can anyone suggest me some link building methods so that i can do Good SEO for my new site?

Please give me some ideas on my link building campaign
Hello everyone, My website is on Pharmacy schools. I just sell leads to universities. Well, I am unable to find sites which are related to my niche. Can i get links from Unrelated sites like Health? and other educational sites (other than pharmacy)? I can see all .edu and gov sites when i type in Google. Ofcourse, they wont sell any links to my low quality sites. Help me out in finding those sites which sells advertising spots and 100% related to my niche 🙂 thanks.

Which link building method is most effective?
I have been looking at different seo companies for link building. I found a ranked list on Topseos.com. Many of them offer the same services as offshore SEOs, namely: Article marketing blog comments forum comments/profiles bookmarking PR directories Link acquisition by contacting relevants sites and negotiating a fee for a link I know that custom link acquisition is the most effective, but it gets very expensive. And, you don't know what each link is going to cost you. Here are my questions: Of the other methods (other thank custom link acquisition), how would you rank their effectiveness? The other methods seem kinda gimmicky, is it worth the time/money? Have you seen sites rank well for competitve keywords using articles/bookmarking/blog comments/directories etc? How do you know i a company is going to them manually as they claim? as opposed to using some automated software. Thanks
