What's the new "Value" column in GWT about?
-
I was checking out our GWT this morning and noticed a new column on the far right that was labeled "Value". Currently, there isn't anything of value (no pun intended) listed just $Nan.
Anyone else see this or know what it might be?
-
I just noticed as I went deeper into the query pages and/or expanded beyond 25 queries per page that there are now values present some of the time.
There is no indication of what they represent if I hover over them. I cannot sort the column by clicking on "Value" and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how the values are calculated. Sometimes the negative change queries have a higher value sometimes it's the positive ones.
Also, when I try to download it does not download the value column.
-
Yes it stays. As I keep going back to look and change to the next page is always pops on like part of an A/B test. I will keep checking it to see how long it lasts and if it populates any values.
-
Does it stay when you click the "With Change" button?
-
It would be lucky if I knew what it was and how to populate values instead of $NaN.
-
Ah, far right side of the 'Search Queries' table. I'm not showing a Value column in my accounts - lucky you
-
It is on the far right of the table, I did another screenshot showing this.
-
Where in GWT are you seeing this? I'm not finding it in my accounts.

Paid traffic or "Paid Search" is not showing in my Google Analytics
Hi, I have two campaigns running in Google Adwords or Google Ads now and I saw in Google Ads account that I had 5 clicks today (09/18/2018) but when I try to search for this clicks in my Google Analytics in ACQUISITION > All Traffic > Channels I don't find nothing about "Paid Search" or something like that. Bellow is a picture of my Google Analytics account to prove it. The accounts are linked and I can find the 2 campaigns in the Analytics. How can I interpret this picture? Where the paid traffic is showing? or not showing there? Thanks Leandro uvAtrsg

I'm a beginner with Google Analytics, what is a good place to start?
I'm a beginner with Google Analytics, what is a good place to start? Would love to know some simple ways to set up Google Analytics to keep SEO in check. What are some of your suggestions? How would you go about using GA to do this? and what are the alternatives? Thanks!

"index.htm" for all url's in google analytics
I don't have this issue with other wordpress websites, only this one website, and I don't know what's causing the issue: Google Analytics is adding an "index.htm" to every single page on the website. So it is tracking the pages, I see no errors - is it tracking the right page? When I click on the page link in a report, I naturally go to a "404 page not found" since the website address isn't "www.example.com/rewards/index.htm" - but instead the actual address would be:

"www.example.com/rewards/". I have navigated to View Settings in GA to insure "default page" is empty. Although adding anything else to this field does not effect the page url in analytics reports either. Could it be htaccess file - or a plugin effecting the htaccess file?_Cindy0 -
Is real google bot like "fetch"or more like "fetch & render"?
In GWT we have two options to mimic googlebot visits, "fetch" and "fetch and render", but when the real googlebot visit a page, is he behaving like the former or the latter? I can see fetch does fetch only the html, while fetch and render does fetch .js and .css as well. But what does the real googlebot does? I have checked the web server logs, and I can see the real googlebot sometimes request the .js files too, but not every time it visit a page, sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. Has anyone figured out when googlebot actually request javascript files?

Impressions in GWT have dropped to nothing, but my page is still ranking normally
Hello Everyone, I'm seeing a strange issue. On the 22nd of this month Webmasters tools started showing 6 impressions per day down from hundreds or thousands. I thought I was hit with a huge penalty for my keywords but they are still ranking where they have for the past month or two on Google. In analytics my organic traffic is stable. It just seems to be GWT showing the massive drop. My domain is: http://Patchofland.com Any Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Where have the 'most changed keyword rankings' gone from the weekly summary emails?
Since the change to Moz we have noticed that the weekly summary emails do not show the 'most changed keyword rankings' table. We found these extremely helpful and would be disappointed to see these go. Are these going to make a come back?

Something strange going on with new client's site...
Please forgive my stupidity if there is something obvious here which I have missed (I keep assuming that must be the case), but any advice on this would be much appreciated. We've just acquired a new client. Despite having a site for plenty of time now they did not previously have analytics with their last company (I know, a crime!). They've been with us for about a month now and we've managed to get them some great rankings already. To be fair, the rankings weren't bad before us either. Anyway. They have multiple position one rankings for well searched terms both locally and nationally. One would assume therefore that a lot of their traffic would come from Google right? Not according to their analytics. In fact, very little of it does... instead, 70% of their average 3,000 visits per month comes from just one referring site. A framed version of their site which is through reachlocal, which itself doesn't rank for any of their terms. I don't get it... The URL of the site is: www.namgrass.co.uk (ignore there being a .com too, that's a portal as they cover other countries). The referring site causing me all this confusion is: http://namgrass.rtrk.co.uk/ (see source code at the bottom for the reachlocal thing). Now I know reach local certainly isn't sending them all that traffic, so why does GA say it is... and what is this reachlocal thing anyway?? I mean, I know what reachlocal is, but what gives here with regards to it? Any ideas, please??
