Structured Data for mult-location site
-
Hi, I am developing a site for a service business with multiple location pages within a larger territory. There is only one physical address and phone number for each territory, and the same phone number is therefore relevant for each location page. The mark up requires that I put in the phone number and address for each page, but I think I've previously read that putting the same phone number on each page is a bad idea for my kind of sites (so I have just put it on the main territory page and contact us page).
I was was wondering therefore if I should bother with mark up as its just going to be repeating exactly the same address, phone number data for www.site.com/location-A, www.site.com/location-B, /C, /D, /E, /F etc...?
Any ideas much appreciated.

Thanks Miriam, the problem is that for each franchise territory we only have 1 physical location any often 30+ locations within that territory where we want to rank. Perhaps I should place an image of the phone number to avoid this as from a usability perspective its annoying not to have the phone number readily available?

Hi Kathryn!
You should only be putting the NAP (name, address, phone) on the landing page that is specific to the physical location. Don't put it on additional landing pages for cities served where you don't have a physical location. Think you might find these 2 posts helpful in formulating a good strategy:

Structured Data Reviews in Knowledge Panel
I need help with getting my site appearing in the knowledge panel for reviews. Our reviews are appearing in the search snippets but not on the knowledge panel when our competitors with far fewer reviews are. We’ve labored over best practices in perfecting our markup but would love a second opinion to see if there’s something we’re overlooking. For example take this venue on our website: https://www.eventsource.ca/cathedral-centre It has 136 of our own reviews. https://www.google.ca/search?q=cathedral+centre We are the 1st result and it shows our star rating, reviews and price range. However, we don’t appear in the knowledge panel - this is happening for almost every business we have listed on our site. In this particular example, the knowledge panel has en Ville Catering with 45 reviews. I cannot find any errors in our structured data but I see it in our competition: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eventsource.ca%2Fcathedral-centre https://enville.com/saint-james-cathedral-centre-wedding-catering/ Example 2: Search: https://www.google.ca/search?q=burlington+convention+centre US: https://www.eventsource.ca/burlington-convention-centre

Spammy Structured Data?!
Help! I woke up this morning to a message from Google that says: "Spammy structured data for http://www.riddelllaw.com/ might be dropped from search results." I am in over my head a bit and not sure what to do. I looked at Webmaster tools and it says something about the author in the testimonials on my page. The testimonials page is just a Wordpress Plugin - Testimonials Showcase. Is the "spammy" result just indicated by errors in webmaster tools? Or could there be something else I am missing? Is this something I can fix on my own or should I hire someone who actually knows what they are doing? Thank you!!

Reusing reviews from other sites for branded rich snippet taken from brands testimonial page
Hi my customer has had a new website built for their custom home building company which has a testimonials page http://www.precisionhomes.com.au/testimonials.html This testimonials page has duplicate review content taken from another dedicated review site http://www.productreview.com.au/p/precision-homes.html My question is this, if I add review microdata to http://www.precisionhomes.com.au/testimonials.html will google recognize this in Rich snippets and the Brands Knowledge Graph or will it just consider it duplicate content?

Do search engines take into account the location of a sight with regards to links?
Hey everyone! I have a local company and I am just starting my link building campaign. I have a question in regards to how search engines work. If I want to receive web traffic from only the New York area would I want to receive links from sites located in Arizona, Utah or even England and Sweden? Assuming these sights are high in popularity and centered on the same content? Or would it be wiser for me to target smaller, local sights and blogs that are in the New York area? Thanks!

Two web sites with the same contact info is this a problem ?
I have two web sites and a physical shop. I run the web sites from the the same post address as the shop. I am concerned that if I add the actual address to both web sites which also has the same telephone number that google might see this as suspicious activity. The reason is I bought a competitor out and now run two sites.

Google Places - Main Location Change = New Page?
I have my main Google Places / Google+ Local page in Detroit where I've had it for probably 5 years and have 10 5-star reviews. It shows up pretty well in the local listings. I recently moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and while I'm still doing business in Detroit and have an office location, my main location is now Sioux Falls. I've started a new Google+ page here, but it's not doing very well and I don't have many reviews. Which of the following should I do? 1. Create New Page and Leave the Old page where it is Create a new page for Sioux falls and leave the old page in Detroit. It will take some time to build up the new location profile. 2. Change the Address of the Old Page (Detroit) to my new address in Sioux Falls Could I change the address of the old page (Detroit) to my new address in Sioux Falls, then create a new page for Detroit? This would hopefully have my page with all of the reviews, which has been around for awhile, in my new main location and I could create a new page for Detroit. Does anyone have any experience with this? What do you think would be the best approach?

Migrating Reviews from Old SIte
We recently changed our Website to Word Press and I would like to move the old reviews to the new site. I am concerned Google might not understand the reviews showing up all of a sudden. The old reviews were on a sub-domain (store.domain.com). I will be able to match the dates and text as well as names. Any advice or Best Practice on this? Thanks!
