.ca and international SEO

So we are building out on some of our Ecommerce sites, and expanding and adding .ca domains to our already established .com. What techniques have you used to generate success in similar launches to this one. I will reply to each response with thoughts and questions

Interesting! This is a nice way to funnel traffic that we have already captured into our .ca domains, as well as build that interlinking between sites. Really want to capture that new Canadian market (For our e com Canada has some different part numbers as well as a different selection of products available to them) Though i am still considering how to approach this, trying to avoid having much of the duplicate content across international pages.

I actually noticed nordictrack just did this. If you go to nordictrack.com you can find links to their international sites at .ca and .co.uk as well I believe. I think you would want to do something similar. Announce you have a .ca for canadian customers. I would also include a link to the .ca site on each product page. So instead of just a buy now button, put a text link below it saying"Canadian customer? Click here for our Canadian store!" or something like that.

While Moz is an excellent resource, i get the impression that it is for community-based SEO questions that can serve as a knowledge database. I am looking for a forum or resource where I can contact other SEO workers to explore link exchange opportunities. For example, i want to reach out to those who do SEO for audio/visual, technology, and event-planning companies so i can offer them links in exchange for some recommended links to my site. SEO as part of University Curricula - real examples
Does anyone know of any universities that offer SEO as part of the curricula? I am currently working on getting SEO into an Argentine University and it would be nice to have precedents. There appears to be demand as you can see here http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=seo%20university yet when you search "SEO university course" or something similar, no name brand universities show up. https://www.google.com/#q=seo%20university%20course. SEO Stratergy for new ecom site
Hello Experts, I need expert advice for my ecom site. My site is www nsale dot in , domain is 2 years old, we just revamped the site. Its currently under testing. Dev activity will be complete in another 2-3 day and product addition will start in a week. we are targeting all major categories of product. I am not sure about how to start the SEO and social media marketing. Can someone help on how to plan and execute inorder to get targeted traffic and also steady increase in traffic ? First Time SEO Online Store
Hi All, I have recently launched a new online store selling mobile phones and accessories. I have always found SEO to be one of those foggy areas, after all I see things through curly braces. However, as the director of the new online store I do need to get myself involved in SEO and all its wonders that it has to offer. I was wondering if any of the Pro SEO guys at there have any tips for an almost newbie in the world of SEO... Can it be made fun?? Market Motive - Take their SEO Course?
Hi there, I'm considering taking Market Motive's online SEO course for $3,500. It's a steep price for me so I wanted to ask you guys if this is a wise choice. The course would grant me certification and is around 90 days to complete. Has anyone had any experience with this course? It seems a little old, but Market Motive claims they update their videos.
