Click to Call Showing Below Organic Result?
-
I noticed this about a week ago and can't find any info on it.
Basically below some ORGANIC results, when searching on mobile, I'm seeing the option to instantly call the company.
http://vzp.ro/1oDV30g (this is a link to my Google Drive where I saved my mobile screenshot.)
Anyone know how to achieve it or where it's pulling that data from My original though was schema or it's basis is from a Google+ Brand page. I didn't see any specific markup on the site when I went via desktop so not 100% sure even where to start.
Cheers
Darin.

Hi there,
Seems that is only a test at the moment in mobile organic search results: http://mockingbird.marketing/google-playing-with-click-to-call-mobile-organic-results/ and targeting to local type of businesses. I've checked some of the pages that were already showing these type of results and saw that not all of them were actually including schema but had their phone number prominently featured on the site as well as listed in third party local citation sources, so in this case it's likely Google identifying them with a variety of sources and definitely featuring a consistent telephone number on your site with schema as well as in citation sources won't hurt Unfortunately since it's only a test and Google hasn't really officially rolled it out it's difficult to tell at this point, but hope that this will help to get you prepared.
Thanks!

We recently updated a large guide that takes the place of the original. The original has some nice organic traffic to it and I don't want to risk losing it. Should I 301 redirect to the new version, or update all the info directly on the original page?
We don't have a lot of content that garners much non-branded organic, so this is something I don't want to risk losing. We do not have a whole lot of external links into the page either.

Search Console shows structure keywords more significant over content keywords. What is wrong?
Search Console shows non content related - website structure keywords as:
On-Page Optimization | | Yaz-
"categories, account, facebook,..." as top significant keywords. And after those comes the website's content keywords.
These words come from the header as I can notice. Am I repeating the content keywords less? Is there a way to adjust this? I am sure this affects my Adsense targeting.
What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?0 -
Site not showing up in Google search since move
Hi, hoping someone might help me with some answer(s) as to why our site no longer shows up in Google search results. Even when we type the full name and city into Google, the site is absent. Our Facebook page, LinkedIn and some backlinks show, but our site is missing. I can no longer find it in Google places. I'm sure I've done something wrong since moving from a static (flash-based) site to Wordpress. But the robots.txt file looks okay to me and the sitemap.xml file is present. Anyway, this is what happens when you ask a network technician handle website design... We know just enough to be dangerous! Here is the site in question: www.newfrontiertechnologies.com located in Shoreline WA. Any advice is much appreciated.

Does show/hide element with javascript impact SEO
Hi I am developing an ecommerce site and want to place text on all category and home page. The challenge is that 300 words of text for the pages does not fit into the design appropriately especially on the home page. If I were to use a show/hide element with javascript would this be seen as spam or a trick to the search engines. I do not think it is spam as it will be actual content for the site and the visitor can view it if they click on the show button. Would love to hear your thoughts?

Search Results
I am sort of mystified at this . I have a homepage and it is for all intents and purposes optimized for the search term Charlotte electrician . If you type in Charlotte electrician I have no organic listing for this page . It does receive an A on the tool on this Site for the term target Charlotte electrician . Here is the URL http://www.providenceelectricnc.com/ now the strange thing is that for the search term electrician Charlotte the tool on SEO Moz gives me an F grade **as I would expect but I am the number one organic listing under electrician Charlotte . This is truly confusing to me it may have something to do with links but I don't see how at all . Thanks I've been studying search engine optimization and web development for about five years and appreciate any suggestion . this is a Joomla! site and I am running a lot of components and plug-ins . One combines CSS files and JavaScript files to minimizing HTTP requests . This particular component Seems to interfere with other scripts And is simply not compatible with certain other plug-ins . Perhaps it is the source or well I'm not sure thanks . ** http://www.providenceelectricnc.com/ tom.jpg 9sAhAAEAwMDAwMEAwMEBgQDBAYHBQQEBQcIBgYHBgYICggJCQkJCAoKDAwMDAwKDAwNDQwMEREREREUFBQUFBQUFBQUAQQFBQgHCA8KCg8UDg4OFBQUFBQUFBQUFBQUFBQUFBQUFBQUFBQUFBQU

Wordpress Shortcodes Showing in SERPs
We use some Wordpress shortcodes in our theme and they aren't in the meta description at all. For certain queries, the shortcodes show on the SERPs when Google chooses the description for us -- is there any way to clean this up or prevent it? It's annoying because it includes the entire shortcode, not the markup that gets generated as a result of the shortcode...

Paid CTR Vs Organic CTR for high ranked terms - say average position 2 in Adwords and average position of 4 in Google SERP
Consider a situation where we are getting 5000 impressions for a term in Adwords and Bing/Yahoo and the same term with the same landing page is ranked within top 5 positions of Google and Bing search. If we get 2.00% CTR in Paid - Adwords and MSN average, What will be the acceptable Organic CTR - which is available in webmaster tool? Apart from Title and Description, what are the other areas need improvement to increase Organic CTR?
