Great SEO tools. Where should I place my efforts first?
I have a blog website that has domain authority=15/ page authority= 26
- develop quality links?
- publish a new post with other keywords?
- or get a NEW domain name with my keywords?
Thanks for suggestions on where to begin.

Thanks both of you. Sounds good.

I believe what EGOL is trying to say is to focus on creating great content. New posts with great content people will share.
I really don't think you should get a new domain. You will earn quality backlinks once your readers start sharing your blog content

That is kind of an exsistential reply.
I see you are Content Director so I am going to guess write a new post keeping my visitor's needs in mind.(?)

Ask yourself... what is the most valuable thing that you can do for your visitors.
Do that next and continue.

Purpose of Putting "/collections" in URL String
I'm noticing that on many of my competitor's eCommerce sites, the URL for every subcategory of products is preceded by "website.com/collections/subcategory" rather than "website.com/maincategory/subcategory" Can anyone tell me why this is, and if it is beneficial to SEO to have URL strings designs this way?

SEO newbie here - I cannot seem to find the direct answers to a few queries that I have
Hi, Apologies if these are very simple queries, but I cannot seem to find the answers anywhere. I understand meta keywords are pretty much pointless nowadays, however when I run a report on another 'keyword website' - my website only ranks for around 2k keywords where my competitors rank for much more (around 20k). I was just wondering where these keywords are found, as I can only assume that these are meta keywords? The company that I'm working on the SEO for is a holiday agency that specialises in holidays abroad for disabled people, so that means that we have a niche product/service and whilst we rank fairly high for some keywords, we would like to rank higher. How is it possible to work towards ranking higher for particular keywords? When doing keyword research 'disabled holidays' has a lot more search traffic than 'accessible holidays'. We are called Enable Holidays and our main competitors have the words 'disabled' and 'accessible' in their domain's, so I would imagine that it's going to be hard to potentially rank higher than our competitors for these keywords? Could someone put me in the right direction of how you improve rankings in the SERP for certain keyword searches? For example, do we have to write more content on a certain page about a keyword? Do we have to include more long-tail keywords in the content? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I Got A Scraper Delisted From Google ...
I have an electronics niche news website. A scraper who had an online store selling products in my niche copied every one of my articles and posted them on his site under the heading "News" ... generally within 1/2 hour of me posting them on my site. His site was even showing up in the rankings before mine. I filed a copyright infringement claim with Google two weeks ago via their online form explaining what he was doing. Today, I received an email from Google saying that they have reviewed his site and have delisted it from the search engine. I just checked, and he is GONE ... completely delisted, no trace. My site traffic has also jumped at least 25% today. It pays to complain! Just sharing 😉

Effort for "moderate competition" keywords
I'm rather new to this, and while I'm getting some sense of everything I'm trying to figure out what kind of scope of work lays ahead of me. The keywords I'm looking to rank for are "moderate difficulty" -- somewhere between the 45%-55% "difficulty scale" on seomoz's keyword difficulty report. Assuming I have a number of "A-grade" (according to SEOmoz's reports) optimized pages for these keywords, how many links of a given quality level should I be looking at building up? I mean, of course, the more the better, but if I'm gunning for high DA/PA pages, am I looking at dozens here or hundreds of such links? I can imagine that any answer isn't going to come with much specificity, but if there was just an "idea" of the scale of backlinking involved here, that'd be great!

Reached No. 1 for my Keyword, what next?
Hi, After months of targeting, promoting etc... I have now reached Google.co.uk rank position 1 for my phrase "creative recreation trainers" and I stand at rank 3 on Google.com. I am happy with these results as this is the phrase I targeted and this is the brand I wanted to rank first for. But were do I go from here? I am thinking I change brand and try work some magic on that, but still continuing to add backlinks etc... to the Creative keyword phrase? What would people advise? Also can anyone do an analysis of any sort on that keyword phrase and/or the url http://www.designerboutique-online.com/all-clothing/creative-recreation/ and tell me some good points, bad points, what to do next and so on? Any help would be great. Thanks

Are web directories worth the effort?
I'm looking to see what sites my competitors are linked from via the open site explorer and all I see are web directories and when I visit these sites it seems they want you to part with $20 in exchange for a link. It obviously works as the sites I am researching are on page one for the keyword I am targeting. For example Site 1 Has 18,222 followed links and 1,089 no followed links Has 243 linking root domains and 17 NoFollowed linking root domains Site 2 & 3 are very similar My site is only 2 months old and has 85 followed, 10 NoFollowed and 4 linking root domains and 3 NoFollowed. My domain Authority is 15 my 3 competitors I'm tracking are between 30 and 45. In spite of this huge gulf I still rank half way up page two! I'd be really grateful if someone could explain to me what the followed links, NoFollewed links etc all means and also the opinion on getting links from web directories. Thanks for your time - Jay
