How can I connect Moz Local to my client's Facebook page?
-
I have set up a client on Moz Local. They are called Help in Hearing. The Moz Local "Incomplete" listing says "No listing found on Facebook." There is a facebook page for the client, it is this one https://www.facebook.com/HelpInHearing. How do i get this to be visible to Moz Local?

Thanks for the reply Tawney, I will send an email to help@ because there are some issues to do with Facebook, eg when editing the address for the business on the Facebook page, the city name does not come up, so I can't get the Facebook NAP details to exactly match the Moz Local address (the latter is correct).
regards, Maureen

Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here!
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble! There can be a few different things inhibiting Moz Local's ability to pick up a corresponding Facebook page. There are a few specific details that need to be present on those listings in order for us to appropriately detect and match them to your Moz Local data (read more here). Here is list of the criteria for those sources that will enable us to validate your listing:
- The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local.
- The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number.
- The primary page category must be “local business”.
- A minimum of 2 visitor check-ins are required. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook's resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in.
- The page must be fully accessible to all potential visitors, so any restrictions based on age, location, etc. must be disabled. This can be easily checked by attempting to view the Facebook page in a Chrome incognito browser while not logged into a Facebook account; if you can view the page normally in these conditions, the accessibility should be in good shape!
Here's a little video guide that might help! https://seomoz.wistia.com/medias/8o0ny7cfhc
If you're still encountering issues after taking a look at those factors, then we can certainly help you investigate; we would just need you to write in to help@moz.com and send the name, address and phone number of the Moz Local listing, as well as the Facebook page for that listing.

Unsolved How do you use placeholders in Moz Local Descriptions?
I noticed you can use placeholders in your business descriptions in MOZ Local such as |city|, |name|, etc. How do you effectively use these and how do they work on the directories? Thanks!

When using Moz local the search is showing that I have no listing? I have a business page with 1400 followers and its been active for a long time with the same address and email to all my other listings. Why would this not be found? Is there something that I am missing?

Moz information (Rankings, Search Visibility, etc.) not working
Good afternoon! I had a quick concern / question that I wanted to ask the community. One of my campaigns hasn't moved at all since we put them into our account. Everything has stayed static: 0.00% Search Visibility, 0 Keywords Ranking, 0 Moved Up, 0 Moved Down, etc., They have been in Moz for roughly a month now. Does anyone know what might be happening? We are trying to get solid data for our client, but we can't seem to get Moz to index it, perhaps? Let me know what you think!

Employees using the Dealership's address and popping up as duplicates in Moz Local?
We are using Moz Local and have a client who's salespeople create individual Facebook Pages for themselves and use the storefront's address. They are noted as duplicates. How much does this really hurt local SEO?

Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business
Moz Local doesn't have Categories for my clients business, for that matter neither does Google Business: Using the Moz category tool- and Superpages, where we have been listed for a long time, the following categories have no MOZ local or Google Equivalent. Millwright CRATES & CRATING INDUSTRIAL PACKING & CRATING CRANES, HOISTING, & RIGGING SERVICES MACHINERY MOVERS & ERECTORS EXPORT CONSULTANTS RIGGERS EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES this makes fitting into Local search very difficult at best. Since the Moving category is so crowded, and brings in 99 household moves to one legitimate industrial move or rigging jobs. So is it best just not to pay for Moz local? How do we get Moz Local and google to add these important industrial local categories?

Local Moz - documentation for Acxiom
Hello there, Moz Local shows that I am not listed with Acxiom, so I went directly to the Acxiom website to add my business listing. During that process, Acxiom asks for business documentation to be uploaded (DBA, license, Federal ID, etc.). If I were using Local Moz to send the data out to the data aggregators, how does it handle this portion (uploading business license, etc. as required)? I'm hoping to use Moz Local for my website clients but need to understand this bit first. Thanks for your help!

Is the Google Local Descriptor compatible with MOZ Local?
If I'm understanding Google correctly, we can use a single descriptor as part of a business name, and to do so, you use the following format in the business name field: Business Name - Descriptor Is this correct? If so, is it not compatible with MOZ Local? I used the format above, and MOZ seems to see the descriptor as part of the business name, and won't let me verify. Is the best approach to using a descriptor to get verified first, then add it? Or will that mess other things up?
